Ben Affleck explains the 'Batman v Superman' vs. 'Star Wars' battle between Zack Snyder and J.J. Abrams (video)

Thanks to a new Yahoo interview with Ben Affleck, we now know why Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder and Star Wars: Episode VII director J.J. Abrams have been battling on Twitter.

"I think it was started because JJ [Abrams] and Colin Anderson, who is a great [camera] operator who always works on my movies, and JJ is always trying to steal, and I'm trying to steal back, sent me a picture of the two of them wearing cheap Batman masks. I showed it to Zack [Snyder], and said 'this is bulls***, we have to do something!'", Affleck explains in a new video interview with Yahoo.

And they did do something, with Snyder posting a photo of "SuperJedi" Henry Cavill:

  if there is another batman reveal pic it would only be a official release and not used for social network war, because that would spoil the surprise on the real colors of batsuit (but if the pic is tinted in black and white then yeah.)

  I agree with everything but Throne of Atlantis looking like a huge improvement. It looks a little bit better as best but besides Nathan Fillion, the cast sucks and that's not the only problem

Warner Brother's DC, and Marvel Studios can compete with Star Wars in the next decade and a half. Marvel Studios has the Thanos storylines from 2 to 3 decades ago, and they also have Adam Magus. Warner Brothers has Crisis on Infinite Earths. Marvel Studios can do a lot with that, when they get into Adam Magus because he operates 1000 worlds. He's been doing it for thousands of years, so his star system is more set in than the Sith. He has a lot more allegiance of his planets that he gained over time through conquering, instead of through tricks with the Senate. Star Wars is doing 7, 8, and 9. They could be doing 10, 11, and 12 next decade. The Sith gained 2000 worlds through Palpatine's trick, many that still had their rebellion movements. Adam Magus has 1000 worlds, but he has a lot more cooperation so there's more developed strategy he can use. Adam Magus doesn't use a Death Star or anything like that, but then it's good that they're not copying Star Wars. But it's cool to think that both Marvel and DC can build up to things with such huge scope, there's lots they need to build up to in their universes, as the combined canon and full explanation brings a lot more to the story, than just the story itself.

    I started reading Daniel's, until I got to the part where he said that Crisis on Infinite Earths would be movie material. It was a great story, but that was because it was the climax to 50 years of DC Comics history, Golden and Silver Ages alike. Since the films have, well, NONE of that history it would be pointless. Or do we want to get 50-year-old Helen Slater for the "Death of Supergirl" sequence?

  I agree. He looks like Bruce Wayne so much, and I've enjoyed his acting in the past, particularly in The Town and Argo. I think when the initial announcement came out we were all scratching our heads, because the casting was so far out in left field. I eventually came around and gave my full support of him, but once I saw that first picture of Ben in the suit, I was completely sold. They say seeing is believing and this IS BATMAN:

I'm not surprised cause he's a delusional Nolan-fanboy with nothing else to do, but frequent a forum and say "BALE WAS THE BEST BRUCE" or "THE NEW BATMOBILE ISNT MANLY LIKE TUMBLER". Every time somebody brings up Nolan and says the trilogy had a flaw, he fucks out. He surveillance sand polices this website and attacks anyone who has a different opinion than his.
