3 new action-packed 'Gotham' TV spots

It was a busy weekend for FOX and Gotham. Yesterday they held their 2014 Summer TCA press event where they talked a lot about the upcoming show. New characters were confirmed for season one as well, including Hugo Strange and Harvey Dent. They also released three brand new TV spots ahead of the special early screening this weekend at Comic-Con. Gotham premieres on September 22nd on FOX.

The more i hear about this show, the more I look forward to watching. It will be fantastic to see Hugo Strange on the screen for the first time.

I don't like this direction. I was hoping it'd be more of a detective show with Gordon and Bullock having to deal with mob threat and corruption in Gotham. Fighting the Falcones and Moronis of Gotham, with the occasional stand-alone episode about them taking down some random murderer, rapist, or drug dealer type, with rare glimpses into some of the big bad Bat-villains. The exception being Penguin, who I'd like to see rise in the criminal ranks.

Introducing every bat villain now takes away the chance for their origins to take place at the same time as Batman's. and it looks like just about all of Batman's villains are going to be a few decades older than him. I really wanted this at first. Now I'm conflicted. That's just me though.

    Beware the Batman? I never watched it. Andrew Asberry wrote all of those reviews:

    He's "retired" from Batman News now, which is why he won't be reviewing Gotham episodes. He's just going to contribute from time to time.

      Yeah, this is Chris. Under the title of every article it'll say who wrote it. Andrew is doing well... he's actually heading to Comic-Con tomorrow to cover the event for Batman News!

      I think he can be a very good critic if the writing idea doesn't work out. I've read most of his reviews on the comic section he's really good at reviews.
