'Beware the Batman' Season 1, Part 2 coming to Blu-ray and DVD on September 30th

Beware the Batman: Shadows of Gotham, Season 1 Part 1 was released on Blu-ray and DVD earlier this year, and now fans of the show can look forward to watching the rest of the season. Warner Bros. announced today that Beware the Batman: Dark Justice, Season 1 Part 2 will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on September 30th. Fans can pre-order the DVD, or the Blu-ray on Amazon.

Pre-orders are now open for Warner Archive Collection’s Blu-ray™ release of "Beware The Batman: Dark Justice." Featuring the final 13 episodes of the groundbreaking, all-new CGI series’ first season, the single-disc Blu-ray™ will be released on September 30, 2014.
"Beware The Batman: Dark Justice" pits Batman, Alfred and swordstress Katana against the underworld likes of Anarky, Professor Pyg, Mister Toad and Magpie. Over the final 13 episodes, the rogues gallery expands with appearances by Killer Croc, Man-Bat, Deathstroke and more. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, this action-packed detective thriller deftly redefines what we have come to know as a ‘Batman show.”

Cartoon Network pulled Beware the Batman from it's channel late last year, and provided no explanation to confused fans. Ironically, the show returned to Cartoon Network last month as part of its 3am Adult Swim Toonami programming block.

I'm still upset this was cancelled. This was me and my nieces show! She was totally into it. I know it's "just a cartoon" but I think we're owed an explanation. What's wrong with transparency?

Yeah, it's really crappy that Cartoon Network never gave an explanation. It's why I don't even like covering Beware the Batman news here.

You can also preorder the Blu-ray on Amazon, it's just been misspelled as 'Beware the Batma: Dark Justice' so doesn't come up when you search for Batman-related stuff. I discovered this earlier and thought I'd let everyone know. :)

I downloaded the entire season 1 of 26 episodes, and I have to say I'm really disappointed it got canceled. I really like this show. The only gripe I have with the show is that Bruce doesn't really hide how physically competent he is, which makes it easier to see him as batman.

You got to be joking 3 am airing. You have better pray and hope that it available on demand or have a good vcr to tape it so you can look at it at a later hour.

Dvr hello... hehe but the cancelation of this show was a total bummer. Its dark, brooding, introduced alot of different bat rouges and allies, and had excellent fight scenes. Wait...so all the reasons why everyone likes this show is probably why it was canceled. Sorry but just cause its not extremely child like doesnt mean teens or other folks wont tune in.

  I must agree with Wayne Bruce.The show was too adult for any children to watch. I hope that WB will release the new season on DVD format.

I just finished watching the 2nd part of season 1, and it got kept getting better and better! this was probably the best Bats since TAS (not counting Brave and the Bold, which was awesome in its own way) And they set up so much stuff for a potential 2nd season, which makes it even harder to swallow that its cancelled......effin cartoon network. I still don't get it. The show was hyped for like a year or two before it premiered, it stars Batman, which is easy enough to sell, and after 26 episodes, only half of which actually air at a reasonable time, they pull the plug? seriously wtf. It doesn't even look like they have anything scheduled to replace it DC-wise. And I don't buy the excuse that it was too dark for children, thats bull, TAS was dark enough and did just fine.
