New 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' trailer spoofs Christian Bale's Batman voice

Christian Bale's Batman voice... you either loved it or hated it. The majority of the general audience didn't like it, or at least found it really easy to make fun of. Two years after The Dark Knight Rises it's still the butt of jokes in pop culture.

The latest example is in the new trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which was just released online earlier today. The Christian Bale Batman voice joke shows up at the 39 second mark. And to further prove that I can tie just about any story back to Batman... Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stars William Fichtner as the villain Shredder, but Bat-fans will know him as the bank manager in The Dark Knight.

The voice was good. Just could have been better in certain places. Bale is my favorite live action Batman. Closely followed by Mr. West.

  Well, the best voice for Batman. I've never seen Conroy suit up, so I cannot say he's the best.
  Bale's voice was brilliant in Begins. I recall a lot of people praising it. After that, I think they tried to 'perfect' it too much.

    Well, I actually like the voice better in The Dark Knight and Rises, because it sounded less like Bruce. His voice wavered a bit in BB.

    I just want a deep low toned voice like Conroy has when Affleck acts. That is the most perfect voice for Batman. Nothing else but that.

      I definitely think we'll get something different going just by the suit and Batmobile plus the fact I think every actor wants to put his or her own stamp on superheroes when they play them.

      I personally like angry and intimidating to low and husky, I guess it's in the eye of the beholder.
      When I read Batman comics, particularly when he's interrogating someone I hear Bale's angry snarl/intimidating growl come through before I hear Conroy's voice. As I said this is only my opinion and I think I'm in the minority in that one anyway mate. :-)

      I hear more of a piccolo (from dragonball) when he is interrogating. Bale sounds like a bad death metal growler. That is just my problem with it. So amateuristic haha

Dear EBo, this sounds like a funny joke but I'm having trouble understanding it. Can you please explain it ? Are you trying to say the Transformers trilogy is a classic trilogy and Age of Extinciton is the sh*tty money grabbing spinoff? If so, does this mean you're comparing the greatest trilogy of all time to Transformers!!!!!?!?!?!   No, I recall there was a rumour that Warner brother offered him 50 million to be Batman in the DC Cinematic Universe. The Rumour was he respected the Trilogy he made and the Character too much to do it. I think the rumour was false but it marked him as a 'hero' again. But its clear the OP is comparing Bale to Bay who is known for following the money whilst destroying franchises fans love. The Transformers films become worst and west Transformers movies. Unlike The Dar Knight Trilogy with portrayed Batman well, although not exactly, but well.

  Yes it did. Warner Bros. offered Bale $50 million to return as Batman for a Justice League movie which was going to be made after Man of Steel but Bale turned the offer down and Warner Bros. changed their minds about the project and decided to make Batman v Superman instead (which originally was Man of Steel 2).

I'm sure the kids will be laughing non-stop at the theatres during this scene. I always enjoy a good Batman reference in a movie/cartoon. it just shows how iconic Batman is to the mass audience. Some of my personal favorites are from the Fairly Oddparents. The Quizzler destroyed Birdman's birdcage like The Riddler destroyed the batcave. There is also a power pals episode that parodies the Justice League which is HILARIOUS!!!! Adam west also voices Catman which is a tribute to Batman.

Bro TMNT was the obsession of my childhood ! I had every bit of merchandise going ! I even owned a Turtles poncho ( I wore it with pride ) LOL !
I'm going to give this movie a chance ! The bits I've seen look decent they seem to of nailed Mikeys humour ! And the action looks fun .

The Batman voice reference is just a small part of a GREAT TRAILER! TMNT looks freakin' awesome. People are going to want to hate this film. But I gotta feeling, it will be amazing. Plus, Megan Fox!

I don't think it was a "Christian Bale Batman voice" reference per se. Raphael used a very deep, resonating voice more like Kevin Conroy or to a lesser extent Michael Keaton. So I think it was a reference to the Batman voice as a whole not just Christian Bale's.

Ehhh... I disagree. Christian Bale made the Batman voice popular. The mainstream audience wasn't talking about it before him. Most people don't have a clue who Kevin Conroy is.

I thought the first trailer for this looked terrible, but this one actually makes me want to see it. I felt the same way about the first Guardians of the Galaxy trailer. Maybe I need to actually check their new trailers instead of ignoring them. haha

I can agree on the TMNT trailers. The first one had me letting out a HUGE sigh but this trailer actually got me excited to go watch it. I may watch it in threaders now, assuming the rest of their marketing continues to win me over.

Funnily enough, I become a fan of Batman BECAUSE of Bale's voice. Heard him from Howl's Moving Castle and I thought his voice was carefree and boyish (there's even a scene where he screams like a girl and that's funny). So I thought of looking up who the voice actor is. Saw Christian Bale, search wiki for his work, saw Batman Begins and I got hooked.

He's an awesome Batman.
