Warner Bros. to show 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' clip at Comic-Con?

We're still two years away from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but next month's San Diego Comic-Con has the potential to be very interesting for Batman fans. We've already heard that Warner Bros. is planning to announce their DC movie roadmap and perhaps even the cast of the Justice League movie. According to a new rumor from Latino Review's Umberto "El Mayimbe" Gonzalez, Warner Bros. may even be ready to show off the first footage from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Batman News will be on the scene at Comic-Con and will keep you updated with everything that goes down at Warner Bros.' panel.

Earlier this year Warner Bros. teased the possibility of the new Batmobile making an appearance at Comic-Con, and El Mayimbe hears that it will indeed be at the convention.

  I am sure WB/DC want to steal this comic con too after last year. there is dozens of material any one material have the potential too steal whole comic con. Batmobile,batplane or batwing,batpod,wonder woman realated or superman related materials etc. or casting news. future schedule. i mean DC characters are more iconic,interesting comapared to marvel so people are more excited for DC. i hear WB going to release a teaser of bvs. if this happen then WB need no material to steal cc. teaser will enough.

Unless you're going to SDCC I don't get the excitement. It's not like we're gonna see it unless somebody manages to sneak a crappy cell phone video of it.
I don't know why pretty much everything at E3 is broadcast either on TV or the internet and SDCC still acts like they're protecting national secrets.

  I have trouble imagining the Batmobile going to SDCC, just because I'd be surprised if they'd be done with it in Michigan by then... and why risk having it damaged in shipment if they're still trying to make a movie?
  Similarly, it's doubtful that any of the SFX will be done, so if there's a clip to be shown it's likely to be Bruce Wayne meeting either Clark Kent or Luthor... all in plainclothes. Who wants to see a clip of Cavill hanging from wires in front of a greenscreen?
  Roadmap, OTOH... I'm really looking forward to it!

    They will make one or two for advertisement on cc,premiere etc etc. for campaign. and one will be on set. and there can be two-three batmobiles. also two-three batsuits. actually the film is so big. and special too.

I'm on the East Coast and I'm legitimately looking forward to page stalking Twitter for live updates the day of WB's showcase. On that note, HELL YEAH FOR WB/DC getting people pumped just as much as the Disney Marvel fanboys

  I really wish they'd get with the times. I'd gladly pay for the opportunity to stream the panels on-demand from the comfort of my own home. You almost have to get in line the night before if you want to get into a panel like WB's.

  Although he's been wrong a lot, that doesn't mean you should forget the times he's been right. He's gets a lot of respect within hollywood, so i wouldn't be so quick to discredit him. He's usually right when it comes to casting, but everything else is hit or miss. I believed this is just a RUMOR, and i'll believe it when it happens.

        its simple Guardians at this point probably has a chance to exceed everyones expectations , you had mentioned why wouldnt WB have anything ready at comic con given guardians had footage on hand within a 15 day shooting period.well as it stands when it comes to this project wb has all been apprehensive with this project,the blackout with the media,weird and convoluted plot points and this has me feeling that this film on a whole will fail immensely.

        youve missed the point entirely Mos had incredible ideals that were not fully realized ,The ultimate sin of mos is it fails to redefine the character for a new generation and had a proper sequel had been established to rectify those issues i wouldnt be complaining but because i know WB/DC is trying to capitalize off a lucrative genre right now and quality at the end the day wont be emphasized.

        I actually didn't reference the 1978 movie.
        This was the first time, I recall, we saw a Superman movie where you felt the burden of being Kent, initial contact with humans & not being welcomed with open arms, a simpler Pa Kent, & an expansive view of Krypton.
        Is it stuff that hasn't been seen in the comics & Smallville? No. Its stuff your typical non-comic book reading moviegoer hasn't seen. To be honest, THATS the audience for these comic book movies.
        And no need to shout. I'm getting older & gray haired, but my hearing is still very good.

        Sequel's coming after. And this is not JL, it's BVS, which I take to mean Batman facing Superman for the role he played in Powerpuff-Girling all of Metropolis.
        As to the question of where was batman, (I'm aware you haven't raised it but others have in this context so I'll address it), batman was probably fighting off laser guided penguins and plant zombies and what have you.

        I'm not even sure Avengers was a great superhero movie, it was just a hyped big event film. Story wise there are better and that's including Winter Soldier. And then there's Days of Future Past that I think blew them both away.

        Fine with me. As far as I'm concerned, they're comparable but they're not. If TDK is the Godfather, then Avengers is the Goonies. And WS is 3 Days of the Condor. DOFP... Was probably the most comic booky comic book movie I've seen in a while, and really was spectacular. Yet my barber liked Godzilla more lol. I don't argue with taste, man, it's pointless.

        The Marvel model is also held up as the best shared universe formula possible, which I disagree with. I'm looking forward to BvS's approach. The events of Man of Steel make sense to me as the ground zero of the DCCU that triggers the emergence of powered figures on Earth.
        The Avengers pulled off an ensemble cast built over multiple films. That is its claim to fame. The X-Men films were the first modern movies to pull off an ensemble hero roster, though without the same build-up.

        It's (WB) shaping up to possibly be better than marvel, but I'll leave it at possibly til I see it. GL and Flash is a concept not seen yet in marvel: a duo. Matter fact, BVS is a duel. Plus the JL team ups. Yep, they're gonna do things marvel hasn't. But I reserve judgment. Best way to be.

        I love the GL-Flash team-up idea. Hopefully it's a more light-hearted turn for the DCCU. Hopefully it's real! I love the idea of fewer heroes bouncing off each other. There's so much potential there that you wouldn't get with a solo outing or a larger team-up.
        Better will always be an unnecessary point of contention. I have my preferences, sure, but I just want them to make something different and great, like MOS.
        Aye. I'm not worried by what I've seen and heart, but hype can kill.

        Yeah, that angry guy up there has a point re: MoS was spos to start a trilogy, but let's face it: expectations were too high after Nolan's films. And MoS made plenty, though less than a bill. BVS is a great way to save this iteration from going the way of Routh's.

        Regardless of my overall opinion of any discussed films, nothing in the genre made me cringe as much as the future mutant slaughter in DOFP. Absolutely brutal, and surprisingly affecting given most were minor characters.

        Brilliant, stunning even. In fact, I was genuinely scared, and the music didn't (or did) help. And Quicksilver! No comic book character had ever been judged so negatively beforehand like him, and then seen as the best character in the movie, which is why I won't judge Ben, Gal, or any if the others til I see em in action.

        I didn't like his look either, but it made no sense to poop on a still of him. I stood by my early stance: wait to see him in bloody motion. He's a speedster, for crying out loud. It was like decrying the indignity of a beached whale.
        Honestly, the deaths in DOFP left me truly shaken. I don't care if they were wiped away by the timeline-fixing trope. No powered film has ever captured the indifferent horror of mortality the way DOFP did. MOS did to a surprising (and appropriate) degree, but there is now a new king of cruelty.

        I appreciated that people actually died in Metropolis. The Avengers is great fun, but the whitewashing of the invasion of Manhattan was quit glaring looking back.

        I didn't mind that scene. Just the flat delivery when he was relaying the lesson he learned that day to Lois in his baseball cap disguise. That sort of deflated the proceedings.
        I used to feel that way, but somehow his obedience in that moment is heartbreaking to me now. By listening to Pa Kent in that moment, he acknowledged him as a father, and yet in doing so, he lost him.

        And Clark's recognition of that, in contrast with the friction exhibited just minutes before, made that scene work for me. I'm a bit dismayed people point to that as some stupid moment. It's emotionally complex, as was their relationship. There were some dishwater moments in the film, but I hardly consider that one of them.

        The other one is when people misinterpret Pa talking about saving the kids on the bus. Apparently, not saying "no Clark, you should've saved them" means Pa was telling Clark he should've let them die.
        The flashbacks with Pa were actually teaching Clark to think about how & when to use his powers. Rather then tell Clark, Pa wanted him to question what the possible results would be.
        I parent the same way. Its how I promote thinking decisions through and not BEING A SHEEP!

        Pa valued Clark's quality of life and development more than the lives of those kids. It's easy to paint him as a monster for that, but I think anyone would want the best for their family in such a situation, especially when it was entirely possible for Clark's existence to be one of exploitation and suffering at the hands of the greater powers that be should his secret reach the proper authorities.
        He even clarifies that he doesn't have all the answers, as any honest parent might in such a moment. Clark directly asks him if he means those kids should have died, and he supplies such a human response.
        I really appreciated the film for not treating viewers like brainless popcorn-horkers. I mean, there are times and places for those films too, but I feel like the fast fun of the MCU films released before MOS really skewed expectations. There's a lot of gray in the movie, and it's very well done. A superhero fan does not live by live-action cartoons alone.

        The reason it was good because it was the first time a "Team" of superheroes got to together and they build it up ... I have to give it to Marvel for building it up ... But there time is up ... The DC Universe is going to take the thrown next... Everybody will shit bricks once they see The big Three up there in 2016

        I don't see how a media blackout equates movie failure or "colossal doom." And has any of the convoluted plot points been more then rumors & fanboy hopes?

        Regardless of Chris Terrio Academy Award winning writing he has no true understanding of the mythology of these characters,a matter of fact he was strictly brought in to touch up the obvious dialogue issues the script had and word is its was a major favor for Ben who at this point is motivated only because warner bros promised to back his future projects.He didn't even auditioned for this role and you support this impending debacle laughable.

        The common denominator is quite low.
        MOS is uncommonly great about providing subtext. It just requires that understanding, that participation and comprehension, which most viewers are unlikely to attempt to exercise. As far as plotholes and gaps in logic go, MOS is actually well above average in precluding them with its own rules and lore compared to its peers.

        WB openly said many times that Man of Steel was the kicking off point for the DC Universe. At no point was it meant to be standalone.         I can't fault folks for not seeing it this way, but MOS really does drop a proto-Superman on us. He just got the suit and reinforced his respect for life by killing Zod. We've only seen a glimpse of Superman. The film was mostly about Clark/a lost soul and his growing pains.
        I'm looking forward to a fully formed Superman by the end of BvS, or even sooner.

I loved this film but I can see it had problems and those problems were all in the script. When no dialogue was said..the scenes were amazing (Example: The "learning to fly" scene). Also...everything after The Avengers with the exception of Winter Soldier has been mediocre with IM3 being garbage in my opinion. I hate bashing Marvel so I apologize to any Marvel fans who read this but it's people like this guy ^ who make you all look bad.

        It was a daring venture, and generally successful. One more step forward in the genre, which is great for everyone. What I'm hoping for from DC is a cinematic universe where I'd actually like to watch every film in a franchise over and over again. Iron Man was an incredibly strong start, and The Winter Soldier was a stunning maturation of the brand, but there are quite a few stinkers mixed into the continuity.

        Iron Man 3 was actually well-made as well. I don't have ties to the Mandarin, so I felt it was a great post-9/11 twist. Surprisingly smart commentary on the nature of terror, in fact. The notion of manufactured terror was a lot more intriguing than a traditional villain, if you ask me.
        Iron Man 2 was a mess composed of some enviable parts. Namely Sam Rockwell. He has got to come back.

        Only that bringing different comic book franchises in a single movie through continuity established over other movies could not only work, but be very profitable.
        Those movies definitely changed things (I'd add the 1989 Batman & Iron a Man to that list), but Avengers showed what the next level could be. That's the only reason I threw that one out there. Without a highly successful Avengers movie, we probably still wouldn't be getting a JLA movie.

  Honestly, WB/DC might actually show some minimal footage because technically, next year's SDCC will be the last one for WB to showcase this movie. During next year's, they'll probably have a full fledge three minutes of action. But nonetheless, we might see some costumes or even voice over of something...anything. I mean last year's SDCC they had that mockup trailer announcing this very movie so i don't think they're going to leave us dry.
