Batman vs. Superman filming is almost set to begin! The rumored start date is May 19th and this past weekend at the Garden Bowl in downtown Detroit, a Batman vs. Superman cast party was held for the crew.

Comicbook.com contributor Thomas Williams was at the Garden Bowl and was able to snap a few photos. He spotted Henry Cavill and girlfriend Gina Carano, director Zack Snyder, and production designer Patrick Tatopoulos. He thought he saw Gal Gadot as well, but wasn't able to get a photo.

With Batman vs. Superman production rumored to begin next week, it won't be long until we see that Ben Affleck Batman photo we've all been waiting for!

  You people and your suit posts are nauseating at this point. Seriously? You've given up all hope? You think you're never going to see the suit? Can the friggin production of the movie actually start before you people start shitting bricks over this pointless picture?

        So does every other network and movie studio. Only directors/stars with a lot of power can get away with on screen smoking these days. And even then it's mainly only villains or morally bad characters who are allowed to do it. Just more of that good old fashioned American hypocrisy.
        A mean show like Person of Interest can show a guy getting a brick of cocaine poured on his chest, but don't throw tobacco on him.

So Jason Momoa WON'T be in Batman Vs. Superman. I'm sure the video of him laughing it off and denying the Aquaman rumor, will be posted soon enough. I wonder (pun intended) if Gina Carano is like, "But the internet wanted ME to be Wonder Woman." I want white lenses over the eyes and under the cowl. The key to the Batman look is to make it cool, yet terrifying.

    The cast is set. Even though he happens to look like Vandal Savage or Lobo, straight out of the comic books, Momoa's not in the movie. Neither is Nightwing.
