'Batman vs. Superman' script is done, Amy Adams has read it (video)

Last month we learned that Ben Affleck's Oscar winning Argo writer had been brought in tighten the Batman vs. Superman script and now it's done.

Amy Adams was on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to promote her new movie Her. At the end of the interview she revealed that she has read the Batman vs. Superman script and that she starts working on it very soon. Jimmy Kimmel joked that his good friend Ben Affleck has asked him to play Robin. The Batman vs. Superman part of the interview starts at the 3:24 mark, but clicking "play" on the video player above should automatically take you there.

Adams will reprise her role of Lois Lane in Zack Snyder's Man of Steel sequel. It officially goes into production next month, when the cast and crew arrives in Detroit, Michigan. Batman News will have the best coverage online. Stay tuned!

The most disappointing aspect of man of steel was the script. Very happy to hear the script is complete and that there weren't any humongous problems with getting it done. Usually when its announced that the script is complete, some big BIG news stories about the film start to roll out! So excited.

The script for Man of Steel was FINE! It made since, it was coherent, and low on humor because the WORLD was at stake. Maybe a teeny bit more humor will satisfy everyone in the sequel.

And yet to this day they are still calling it Batman vs Superman. It is just weird to me that they are just less than a month away to start filming , and no casting announcements or "official Title". I'm pretty sure that they know what they're going to call the film and that they have made their casting decision , but hasn't been officially announced yet.

    I'd really love to know when Warner Bros. told Zack Snyder that Batman was going to be in his Man of Steel sequel. I bet it was sometime last summer, shortly before the announcement was made.

      I agree it's unusual for a tent-pole film like this to still be going by a working-title this late in the game, but it's not that unusual in the grand scheme of things. For instance, That's My Boy (terrible movie, I know) was titled I Hate You Dad all throughout principal photography. Working titles are called working titles for a reason. The Internet has changed things in this regard for sure, but I'll defend the filmmakers by saying they really don't need to tell us the title until they start releasing official promotional materials, like production stills or teasers. I personally am rooting for MOS: Knight Falls to win out.

      I think they knew they were going to do a Man of Steel sequel, but I'm not convinced they knew they were going to put Batman in it that early.

      I'll assume Batman appearing in the next movie was decided well before the Man of Steel was released last year. All Snyder got was Justice League questions while promoting the movie. Putting Batman in the sequel was a NO BRAINER.

I think it's going to end up like Cloverfield. Cloverfield was it's code title. It had NOTHING to do with anything in the movie. But the name was so reported and repeated for months that it became stupid to change the name after so much buzz had been built up under that title.
Everybody in the world knows this movie as Batman vs Superman. Why change it now? Besides, there's not a single title in that list we've seen that is any better than BvS.

  Very true... Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if they left it at that. I remember last summer , Goyer said that they didn't even know what they were going to call the film. Besides, I agree with you on the previous titles that was thrown around. I was starting to cringe when I heard of names like "Man of Steel" , Blackest Hour, Night Falls, The Battle Of The Knight so forth... BvS Doesn't Sound Bad After all

Adams was an average Lois @ best to be honest ( the script didn't help her sheeeesh some of that dialogue )

I might take some heat for this but Teri Hatcher is my favourite Lois : )

I didn't really like Amy Adams as Lois either. She definitely wasn't what I imagined her to be. Whenever I imagine Lois I always picture her from the cartoon series.

    I agree. It also bugs me that she doesn't own the conversation. Whenever I see Adams in an interview she's so mild mannered and passive. I'd like to see her "spunky" attitude both in and out of the role.

      I disagree. Her taste for exploring uncharted areas was simply demanded by the plot. Kal shouldn't have been introduced to Jor-El the exact moment Lois was wandering the ship. It just seemed too forced. As far as her personality goes, I was hoping to see her witty banter with Clark as always. I enjoyed Man of Steel but I suppose an origin is all it was trying to be.

      *grins* Okay, I'll bite. Superman has multiple weaknesses to exploit. Obviously one being Kryptonite. For a less painful route I could also harvest red sun radiation thus destabilizing the nature of his molecular structure. I could also manipulate concentrated amounts of energy, otherwise known as magic. And...I can steal Ms. Lane.

Too much too soon? It's a shared universe. Just think about what happened in the FIRST movie! Aliens try to invade earth and there's still one living on the planet (you know, Superman). If Wonder Woman and Batman already exist, why wouldn't they investigate and confront this alien with god-like powers. Any good sequel is supposed to up the anti.

I hope that i will see a scene where WW fights Ares in another dimension and where Ares opens a portal to come in our world. WW could jump in the portal to follow Ares. And at their arrival on earth they could battle briefly before the police arrives. I would like to see a scene like this in the film.

Not quite sure how they will introduce WW. But Ares won't show up. I'm pretty sure had Zod succeeded, her hidden Amazonian island would have been affected. That's enough reason for her to come out and investigate Superman.

      Exactly. It makes more sense because what if the Zod fight and the presence of Superman and other Kryptonians brings the rest of the JL out of hiding? some to maybe stop superman, some to maybe join up and defeat a bigger foe..we'll see.

    I find it very hard to put any stock in this guy. He's just some random low level producer who barely has any credits to his name. Absolutely nobody had ever heard this guy's name before his BvS tweets. Why would the guy who made HITMAN have all this info? If this info is so carelessly passed around to the point that the guy who made HITMAN has it, then we should all have a copy of the script by now.
    I'm supposed to think that this random guy, who has NOTHING to do with this movie whatsoever, not only HAS all this info, but is willing to spill it to the world, burning all his bridges with WB in the process, just to get a few twitter followers? I don't.

      Dont get me wrong...I have my whole plot synopsis for this movie and everything. I've made articles predicting what the MOS sequel is going to be about (yeah im that obsessed lol) in my mind its a Superman sequel, ive defended my argument to others who swear its an overcrowded justice league mess. Its either a true man of steel sequel or a Batman/Superman teamup movie like the Public enemy movie with Luthor & Joker. either one im fine with.

      I think there are two possibilities..
      1 - His original tweet was just pure speculation, his own ideas. When he saw the reaction he got, he decided to not let on. So now he gets a lot of attention and when this stuff doesn't end up in the movie he'll say "I never actually said it was" or something.
      2 - He really does know the stuff and he's the dumbest person alive, tweeting top secret info on a major project from a studio he's trying to get to green light his Johnny Quest movie.

      Mixture of the 2...If he does know a lot of stuff about the movie then he needs to STFU. I want to go into the movie next year and be SURPRISED not saying "already knew this was going to happen, some guy tweeted it" i might stop going on these websites for news because i dont want to hear anymore news on the film. Rather watch it and not know wtf is going to happen or who's going to be in it
