Last week we learned that Girls star Adam Driver was the frontrunner for the role of Dick Grayson/Nightwing in Batman vs. Superman. While he was promoting his new movie Inside Llewyn Davis, Collider asked Driver about the Batman vs. Superman rumors.

Driver admitted that he's a fan of Batman and Superman comic books, but when asked point blank if there were any truth to the rumors Driver replied "No. Not that I know of." Driver explained that he's flattered that his name is in the conversation, and he wouldn't pass up the opportunity if it did come his way.

    One of the first of many false rumors that will surround this movie in the early days. This one was rather obvious. Remember the rumors back in the day that TDKR would feature Hugo Strange as the villain?

      Hugo Strange would be neat if he's the guy that's messing with Batman with the scientific experiments he does. That's different than the Batman villains they've been doing.

    Hope he's telling the truth, but it wouldn't be the first time an actor has lied about a role in a Bats film *cough* (Marion Cotillard) *cough*.

      I think Cotillard might have just been ignorant of the fact Talia is a comic book character. She might have assumed Nolan invented her.

      His representative was confirming he wasn't playing Riddler.

      Well I've always seen Nightwing as late 20 s early 30 s ? Hence the reason to ditch the Robin get up for a more mature persona in Nightwing But he always retained that youthful quality even while being a bit more mature , I just think Aaron Paul could nail that balance between Intensisty and comedy that I see in the Nightwing character !

    Lol I was beginning to grow fond of the idea of him being Nightwing. Oh well, maybe we'll get Steven McQueen to reprise the role for the movie. It's pretty much confirmed at this point that he'll play Nightwing in Arrow. Maybe with him playing in both the show and the movie, it'll indicate that Arrow is in fact part of the DC cinematic universe, much like how Agents of Shield is a part of the Marvel cinematic universe. What do you all think?

      I hadn't heard the Arrow/Nightwing rumor so I googled. The site I saw it on asked would you like to see Nightwing appear on Arrow. The comment section was nothing but people saying "YES!!!"

      I find it very odd how people are so happy to see him on Arrow, where the character appearing really doesn't make sense, yet when he's rumored to be in a movie WITH Batman this place goes nuts with negativity.

      I don't really mind people disliking the idea of him becoming Nightwing but people really just butchered the guy with insults. Really sad if you ask me.

    I really hope he's telling the truth. This movie will need to be streamlined and focused. Just focus on Batman and Superman. We don't need Nightwing, Wonder Woman, The Flash or any other superhero. This isn't a Justice League movie. It's going to be convoluted to the point that it turns into Spiderman 3 or Last Stand.
    Wouldn't it have been funny though if at the comic con, after the bat logo appears behind the S symbol, other symbols just started appearing? Like the WW symbol appeared behind the Batman one, and then the Nightwing symbol appeared, and then the Flash symbol. It could just keep going until Mickey Mouse appeared, smiling with his lifeless eyes at the comic geeks.

    I don't have a problem with Nightwing on the BIG screen ! The character has a lot of cinematic potential ! It all depends on how he is written and will there be enough screen time to do him Justice ? One thing I do know is DC realy need to start introducing more ' FUN ' into their cinema verse ! One of the main marks against MOS is it was such a downer ! Nightwing could be a lot of fun if done right ! On the other hand if done wrong ! YIKES ! Over to you Snyder !

    Oh thank god. But still, they may still end up having Nightwing in it, just went with a different casting. I'm not a fan of it cuz it make everything feel to rushed. Batman, Superman, Lex and a Wonder-Woman/Themiscyra cameo, and that's all we need.

      I don't mind them tossing Flash in there to be honest. As long as both Flash and Wonder woman show up as Barry and Diana and it's literally on cameos. Even after the credits would work.

      Nightwing is bringing in a whole other listings of heroes that should be left for awhile. We need the A-listers to be introduced and to fight together. Once we've done that (like the Avengers) they should introduce the B cast.

      Personally I feel like Nightwing is a better TV opportunity than a movie.

        Finally someone agrees with me. Him being Barry before he gets his powers will be fine, but I think Wonder woman should still be on the island and only leaves during her film because of all the conflict Superman causes. Possibly aggravating the God of War?

        To be honest. If Robin has to be a series. I'd call it Jason and be about how Jason Todd returns from near death, with his memory lost and trying to piece together his life. The season finale would bring them to a Red Hood film. The other Robins won't be as interesting for tv and would have to involve batman somehow.

    I'm for a person as long as the camera doesn't need to zoom in to make them look bigger or if they have to be near someone much smaller to be bigger. The actors need to be just as big in real life height, personality, strength, performance, or width wise. They can't fake it. They have to be consistently like that, and it can't be a product of temporary life changing conversations. They have to consistently have that personality and demeanor in many given situations instead of when they're near a much smaller guy. If they're strong with or without their anger physically when it comes to bigger and taller people, not just with people that are 5 feet tall or shorter on all occasions. Cheap antics with anger is only insulting. Most people haven't seen real anger. If your anger can only scare someone that's smaller which Ben Affleck does in his movies then it's the opposite of impressive. It's more about the bulk size of the person than the height, and their knowledge of how to use their strength and the level of strength they've developed. I've seen most people over 6 foot are really weak and they still appear small. If you can scare a much bigger guy that's really good. I mean a big big guy. Not someone that's kinda slightly big based on the defunct social circles. They can't be superimposed because that doesn't work in real life. You can't superimpose the other person either. Anyone with a brain can see right through that.

    Jason Todd needs to have that angry personality (angry all of the time, not faked anger anyone with a decent size can see right through in a zoomed in camera angle that's insulting to their intelligence) like the young Michael Myers in the original Halloween movies when he was in his adolescent or teenage years and there was nothing in his eyes. He looked angry. If the person could have a more natural anger that would be good. Jason Todd was driven by his anger and he grew up worse than Mike Tyson's childhood to adolescence. Jason Todd was a lot angrier when he became the Red Hood. It can't be the weak feminine wannabe angry guy where the guy with decent size would just beat the shit out of him. It can't be ectomorph anger either.
