Agreed. Hardy made him intimidating and interesting.

I'm probably most curious about Bane right now. Just because this look is such a drastic change from the AA/AC bane. Also since this is B-man's second year if they will have "history" with Bane (and if so, how) or what the deal is. In AA it was strongly hinted that Knightfall happened ("...this time I break YOU.") I don't know. Just too many questions still at this point,

Well, we know this is Batman's second year, but do we know how many years in the future from this game AA is? A lot could happen in that time frame I'm sure.
Arkham is it's own universe. Otherwise it wouldn't have it own's comic book line. It doesn't really follow the DC continuity. Hell, DC doesn't follow DC's continuity anymore.

Yes a lot could happen in the time between Origins and AA but in the comics Knightfall was the first time Batman encountered Bane.
Like you said, I guess it is just a different universe.

It's completely possible of course, that this could be their first meeting, and Bane could even break Batman in this game. Dependant on where he is placed in the game, there is plenty of chances for the game to feature the moment, or allude to it happening at the end.

Is this a pre-venom Bane? He doesn't have all the crazy tubes like in the last 2 games, but remember at the beginning of the Asylum when we found Bane he was all shriveled up. What gives?

Yeah, I think he wasn't that addicted to venom yet and he didn't have to depend on it all the time. Also, looks like he'll be the smart one, seeing as his IQ in his file is 187

Excellent. For some reason? Every representation plays up the dumb brute bit. We already know that while in Santa Prisca? Bane studied and read just about everything he could get his hands on. He was a very intelligent person in Knight Fall.

If you look at the Arkham Origins toyline, Bane does have venom tubes, they're just smaller and hidden underneath his jacket in these screenshots.

So it finally took a video game version of Bane to try and attempt to hide his achilles heel instead of having them jutting straight out the back of his neck.

Well, if you watch at the gameplay trailer and pause at 0:35 you'll see that Bane has some tubes on his neck [sorry for the english]

he was shrivelled up because the venom was taken out of his blood and in this one he props is on venom like those tubes must be venom needles or something

Anarchy looks like a possible dlc character, IMO.

I don't think so. The way they talked about during their presentation today it seems like he's going to be similar to Azrael in the last game. There is a series of missions you get from him about some evil corporation or evil government types.

I'd actually always hoped Azrael would be a playable character in 'city', but that obviously never happened.
Still very interested to see who will be added as dlc characters. Since batman is solo it seems like all the dlc could be all villain characters. Of course Joker is very possible, as he has been playable before. Maybe deadshot? I'd love to play as the Commish. Maybe a little splitscreen team up with Batman, clearing out a drug dealers warehouse?
Hey. I can dream!0 likes
With the game having multiplayer there's no telling who all you'll get to play as.

So I guess they have completely abandoned Bane's origin story from the comics considering how this is only supposed to be Batman's second year.

To those who aren't sure, it's 100% without a doubt Bane. Not only is the file that Warner Bros. released named "BAO_E3_BaneBatman.jpg" but we got a look at Bane from the gameplay reveal trailer too: http://batman-news.com/2013...

Where's the mask?

I like the more subtle look I hope it is bane but I am not sure it is too!

He has the feeling of Nolan's Bane.

Yeah his attire has definitely been influenced by Nolan's interpretation, while keeping the mask from the comics. I'm just glad they didn't go the Arkham Asylum/Arkham City route:

Are you sure that's supposed to be Bane? All the Black Mask thugs wear masks and it looks like one of those to me. But I have the brightness on my monitor all the way down so what do I know.
Nevermind I see him in the video now. Nothing to see here. haha

Yeah that's definitely Bane. Plus the file name is "BAO_E3_BaneBatman.jpg" :)

The fact that they didn't go woth this Bane gives me a whole lot more hope in the new developer.
