May 3, 2013

Game Informer continues to be an excellent source of new information regarding Batman: Arkham Origins. This week they got a chance to talk to the game's creative director Eric Holmes and senior producer Ben Mattes. They compiled a list of questions for their readers and the guys at WB Games Montreal answered as many as they could. Here are some highlights:

The Batwing is in the game, but the Batmobile isn't
Jim Gordon has a big role, his relationship with Batman is inspired by the Batman: Year One comic
The game takes place during Batman's 2nd year of crime fighting
The game world is more than twice the size of Batman: Arkham City

Check out the full podcast below for even more info.

Batman: Arkham Origins will be released on October 25th for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U and PC. Keep it locked to Batman News for all the latest.

I'm disappointed about that, but at least Jim Gordon has an actual big role in it.

The best thing about these games are that they have very controlled environments, allowing you enough room to experiment and explore but finding that the best approach...is the Batman approach, and as a result you feel like batman! I was never completely for incorporating the batmoblie in these Arkham games cause i thought people would feel less like Bats and end up playing it like some sorta GTA car game.
But seriously... thats the only real thing missing now to get the full batman experience, and if your ganna have it as a fast travel...you might as well make it so you can drive it. From the map they posted of Gotham it looked like they were ganna make some sorta long main road that you could drive on, and then have blocks and blocks of alleys and buildings that you can only get too on foot. Like if you think like Batman, that seems like a logical way of getting around that they could have incorporated.

Except for Helena Wayne. She can go to hell.

Yea Robin is cool, but his appearance doesn't make or break the game for me.
