   This isn't really a scoop. At least I don't think so. WB has properties already involved (Batman, Superman and Green Lantern) and they were going to put the biggest characters left into the movie (Wonder Woman  and The Flash)

         Won't be such a big deal because they have Snyder and Nolan working on it and Like Rico said, WB owns Green Latern, Batman and Superman.. so we'll already know the cast will be Christian Bale (I HOPE), Ryan Reynolds and Henry Cavill

      Nolan being involved would be a decent choice, but the likely-hood  of that seems... Well.. Unlikely. Lol. Same with Christian Bale following up his Batman role or Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan.

      Once again, the introduction of such an obscure character is highly unlikely. That'd be like me hoping for Ted Kord (Blue Beetle) or Lee Travis (Crimson Avenger) making an appearance. It'd be the coolest thing in the world, but will prolly never happen.

   The main 5 characters are the logical choice when it comes to the Justice League. They (Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, The Flash, and Wonder Woman) were who were used in the animated Justice League series and the Young Justice series (as the adult team) so it just seem like the right move. I like the fact that Aquaman and J'onn J'onz (Martian Manhunter) may have cameos as well. Hopefully the casting of said characters will be an easy transition and believable. 

   I've been following the comics for a while now and from the collections I've read, they have so many amazing possibilities for the future of DC Films. They REALLY need to stop doing origin stories though, it's been played out and milked for all they're worth. If there IS an origin that needs to be done, I hope they just sum it up within the first 10-15 mins of the film and move on to the main plot.

   They should also consider catching up to Marvel Comics Films. They're seriously falling behind in the amount of films being made/released. DC fans I'm sure can agree with me here. If they're going to do a Justice League film, they should probably consider doing Wonder Woman and The Flash before they release Justice League. Would love to see them, maybe even accept yet another origin story for those two. Maybe. Lol. They could easily sum up any of the Flash's origins within the first 10-15 mins of the film. Wonder Woman maybe not so much because she seems to have a LONG and complex origin (due to all the greek mythos and such).

       The thing is that Flash and Wonder Woman are FAR more deserving of origin stories than somebody like Batman or Superman are at this point.

      Even my parents know the basics of both Superman and Batman's origin. They are iconic, timeless, and have been featured heavily in the films. Most people, myself included, don't know the first thing about Flash's origin and only slightly more about Wonder Woman's. Not to mention the fact that they've haven't really been explored on the big screen.

      For most i wanna see a Wonder Woman and Flash movie, the way opf WB is doing now its the better, for 2 reasons: 1) avoid more the (innevitable) comparisons with 'The Avengers', in special the fact thsi aloow the movie been focus on the heroes, and not a crutch for the big-team-movie-event. 2) Different o the Avengers, what before 2008 no one know they exist, non-comic-book-readers-people have in contact with Justice League for 30 years in several medias, like games, series and cartoons. If they dont know his origins, they have some base of who the characters are.

   I'm slowly getting excited about this.  It all depends on the creative team and casting.  I think WB knows well enough now to consult people like Chris Nolan or hire very talented filmmakers to do this, and there will be a lot riding on this property, and the subsequent properties therein.  If Darkseid is the villain, this can easily blow The Avengers out of the water.  

   That all being said, WB has some crucial decisions to make, specifically with the casting of characters outside of the Man of Steel universe.  Getting Batman right will be significant, and I think they would be nuts not to try to lure Christian Bale back out for another run.  And hell, JGL is already lined up nicely to be Robin.  I'm really not sold though on Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, and wouldn't be upset about a recast.  It's a shame - he would've made a great Flash.  I do think they need to work Aquaman in in a minor role - he is a cool character that would make for a very interesting solo film.  It just has to be unique and huge.  They should put in a call for the guys who did the cinematic storytelling for the DC Universe online game - that had me as excited as about anything else, and a sequel focused on the Death & Return of Superman modified to include larger roles for JL members would be great. Looking forward to it regardless - it just can't be hokey.

    Though with coming of all "superheros" (non human), Nolan's Batman is out of question and so does JGL playing Batman.
    Oh man i cant wait to know more about the movie.
    And more importantly, will be great if we have all the original 7 founding members of JL

       Didn't people say Keaton was too short originally though, and then he ended up being many people's favorite Batman (not mine personally though)?  Not that I want JGL in Justice League or Man of Steel, cause the Nolanverse wouldn't mesh well with either one.

    A lot of people want Nolan to be involved. Why? Yes the Batman Trilogy was great but i personally dont think he'll be the right director for the JLA, it doesnt fit his MO.

    As far as casting goes- Henry Cavill as Superman is a given. I think the look and feel to the JLA film is going to be based on how Man Of Steel is going to be presented to audiences and WB will expand a franchise out of that. Like what Marvel has done with its Avengers Characters.

     It's pretty obvious that the most anticipated casting news is all beaming down on the role of Batman. Christian Bale won't be in it because it will only conflict with the logic of the Nolanverse, but these are still pretty big shoes to fill.

       I think the entire project depends on Mas of Steel. If it doesn't knock it outta the park, forget about the JLA, for now. That said, Batman needs to be recast/reimagined, as does Green Lantern. Use the JLA movie to "reboot" those characters and as a spring-board to launch the others.

    No surprises here, but its nice see some confirmation, The fact the team is smaller make possible a better development of the characters and work to very know DC heroes, but my fanboy side is very angry for Aquaman not been part of the team...

    while a smaller cast makes sense I feel characters like Superman, and batman dont require much screen time and Martian Manhunter and Aquaman could only get exposure with a JLA movie (despite i believe Aquaman being a recognizable character) with proper writing i feel 7 characters can get the proper screen time needed i feel Avengers was able to pull it off 

    I know Bale refuses and wont be in it but i just feel its so easy to place the events of JLA in between the Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises (I hate the he hasnt been batman explanation for 8 year that doesnt even suit the Nolanverse Batman.s character now if something happen to the League during those years like the death of Superman i could see him retire if the proper friendship and bond is created) 

    however i have very little faith in DC/ WB given the movies they've put out Constantine (while okay movie) Jonah Hex (he now has magical powers), Green Lantern (crap story), and Superman returns (making superman a absentee dad was suppose to make him relatable) 

    having these 5 characters i believe fills the main five roles of a super-team leader, brains, wild-card, heart, power-house (as stated on ask chris: ladies night JLA on Comicalliance.com) but why not try to boost the popularity of two other mainstays of the team next movie could be the invasion of Atlantis and or lastly something martian related (like at the very least keep J'onn in the background manipulating the team  even responsible for bringing them together until like say the death of Superman (i really believe it should be a JLA event) and he's forced to become front and center since his original role was to stand in for Superman from time to time)

    two different directions to go with GL RYan gets captured sends the ring to find another we get  John Stewart or JLA doesnt take itself to serious and Flash can poke jokes at GL about how everyone thought he was fighting a giant cloud and no one knew it was serious

    Hope they include Martian Manhunter, Aquaman , and maybe another female member like Zatanna. Justice League needs to be balanced out. As for the 'announcement", who is really surprised by this? You cannot have a Justice League film without the Trinity and Flash/Lantern are damn staples of the League. So hahah, real news please lol.

    I think just focusing on these basic 5 is very smart. The movie already has it's work cut out for it in debuting a new Batman, probably a new Green Lantern and somehow introducing Wonder Woman and Flash. Once you get this basic group set and rolling you can introduce Manhunter, Aquaman, etc in future installments.

    till date martian manhunter was the most under used charter in all dc animated series and animated movies, please give that green guy a chance at least on screen, but yeah i understand the fact that justice league movie is scheduled to release by 2015 or by 2016 max and it would be difficult to introduce characters before justice league releases but on the other hand none of us even know how the script will be, so we can't expect to see some characters as the script wont support it, so just have to wait for official news from warner brothers
