From what I spied, Superman's fight with Zod attracts the attention of Braniac who comes to earth for the Kryptonian and uses modified versions of Zod's robot army to attack Superman who is forced to call upon the help of the other heroes to help "save the day."

Sounds too cartoony for me, so I'll take that with a heap of salt.

"Cartoony". Well put. One of the many reasons I liked the Batman trilogy is that the story lines were grounded in reality. Or as close to reality as possible. Not going to hold my breath on this project. I would much rather see Christian Bale and Chris Nolan come back for another Bat flick, while Bale is still young enough to don the cape and cowl.

  WarBros have to set the theme for the film with Man of Steel. I can't see a grounded JL film, but I can see a gritty one. Either they go BtAS style and blend fantasy with grit or they take the Rises trilogy route and make everything grounded and gritty, but either way, I'm worried. There is too much room for fail here.

What indeed... all I want out of this is a jumping-off point to do more great STANDALONE Batman movies. Equal to Nolan's trilogy in writing, story, character, and heart, but with the unique stamp of the new writer/director.
Yeah, I'm probably asking way too much.

  This isn't The Avengers, and the fact that their team members were introduced to us in their own solo movies is not the only standard to follow when making a team-based film. It's a DC VS. Marvel kinda thing. It's going to be entirely different. Of that you can be guaranteed. They're not going to need to introduce each character beforehand. It'll probably be a one-off and reside in it's own little universe. Stop comparing the two!

    The Avengers reset the Bar set by the Fantastic Four & X-men. JL will have to go above & beyond without duplicating the Earth Invasion Plot. Anther problem is Hollywood thinks the only people who buy comics are the same ones who LOVE Justin Bieber. They think the ONLY time an adult goes to a Superhero movie is to take the kids. I say they are wrong i say an R-Rated & a PG Rated Justice League movie would be a summer blockbuster that sets a new age for the Genre.

#0 - An unnamed sourced said this, so who even knows if it's true?

#1 - It says they want to start filming next year. It doesn't say they want to start filming Jan 1st of next year. "Next year" is a huge window. They may not start filming until next Fall which would be a full year from now. And releasing in 2015? That gives them roughly two years to make the movie which is pretty much par for the course for most comic book movies.

#2 - None of us are inside WB. We don't know how long this plan has actually been in motion and we don't know how the script is. Perhaps they know more about where the process is at than we do? Just because no director has been announced doesn't mean they haven't narrowed it down and haven't already been in talks and know the direction things are going. Nolan was well into developing Batman Begins before any of us even knew he was a possibility. I know WB has been stupid in the past and deserved some beatings, but I don't believe the WB of today is just doing this willy nilly and would jeopardize the future of the one successful franchise they have left.

I am not sure if they should put this out the same year that Avengers 2 is scheduled for release. They should wait until 2016. In between now and than, make other stand alone DC movies setting up Justice League, and take advantage of the comic book movie craze. I am guessing that 2014 is the year that WB is going to release multiple DC character movies. Anybody's thoughts on that?

    If it goes that way you would now be looking at JLA vs Avengers 2 vs Star Wars Episode 7. Way too much muscle for JLA. We have to see more DC stand alone comic book movies first. I know Star Wars is not about comic book heroes like the Avengers and JLA, but with Disney involved in both that's what I mean about too much for JLA. I am confident, however, that JLA could battle these 2 well in the box office, but, I just can't say it enough, they have got to do more than just Batman and Superman on the big screen before 2015.

whats people beef with chris nolan ? , i would still luv a solo catwoman some day with anne hathaway coming back and jgl in his own movie or maybe a start at a new batman series with jgl as robin/nightwing and christian bale coming and the main villian the riddler played by leo dicaprio or johnny depp, i just dont get the hate.........sigh

Nolan would only have a "Realistic" "Plausable" Justice League which is why we did not get many of the Batman villains that were not "realistic".

Will Henry Cavill be playing Clark Kent/Superman? Will Ryan Reynolds be Hal Jordan/Green Lantern? I guess if so, then Man of Steel will be part of the Justice League and DC's own Cinematic Universe.

God i hope not... Ryan Reynolds did NOT make a good GL. At least the actor in Arrow is believable as a superhero. Then again much of the casting for Arrow seems to be done right. The Costuming however is too much Smallville. I am liking SOME of the trick arrows however.

I am very bothered about people complaining about the film even they didnt launch. They are planing the film for a long time, and Will Beall wrote the script several times since he was hired for the job, and probably will be re-write again when the director was choice. But this is not the main reason are bothered me, are 2 reasons. First: Nolan made his work beautifully, and gone. But he change the mach, raise the bar of how CBMs have to be done, and this is great for everyone learn with him, not holding him if he won't do this anymore. This kind of though of "director X or Y is iconic, everyone should do in that way"is the same thought what put Superman films on hold for soo long time. This characters are so long with us because their interpretation changes everytime, and in our position we just can hope for they bring the best what they can, and what we have to think now is not what Nolan could do if they continue to direct batman, but what excited thing the future reserve to us. Nolan's interpretation is in fact about how a fantastic hero deals with his human side and his capacity to change the world iif they are real (forget the dark, gritty talk) will be follow in Man of Steel and probably in others DC films by Warner, and i think is the best legacy what his Batman films can bring to us.

And BTW, Warner has no options: if he want our money and stop the comparisons with Avengers (an overshadow them), they have to approach different and do something really great.

i think it'd be great to see jgl continue on as batman although he needs to bulk up a lot looking at his body frame in looper you can tell he is a small guy.

In my dream world jgl continues as batman for a few movies (justice league or standalone) eventually dies and we get to see an older ~50 year old bruce wayne (christian bale) come out of retirement for a dark knight returns-esque movie featuring riddler. Set in a futuristic setting gotham.

To be fair jgl -john blake was a hybred of all three robins"dick Grayson,jason todd, tim drake" all roled up into one, i thought that was clever and fun and different and he doesnt need to be batman for say, he could be more robin with a dark hint of nightwing, but thats my two cents, and hey guys check these one sheets of quentin tarantino's django Unchained http://www.flickeringmyth.c..., leo like pretty evil in his first villian role, and check out the new trailer as well it looks pretty awesome http://www.youtube.com/watc... and please leave comments , i like to see what u guys think.

  to each there own, im not the biggest robin fan but i like nolans take on him and there really was a cop in the 70s comics named john blake and was very similar to dick grayson and they ran robin into the ground with batman forever and batman & robin , i like a newier version of him my self, it just like when they brought in jean paul valley and had in become batman for awhile and he was allmost like him intell he became crazier and crazier in ever battle he was in, but thats my two cents.

  i was wondering as two fan boys and seeing how well they did scarecrow and ras al ghul and the joker and two-face and bane, how do u think a chris nolan riddler would look like in his world, classic" business suit or skin tight jump suit and walking around with a cain" or scars or tatoos, i just picture him being unhinged a bit like heath's joker and dirty, i think he could have scars and maybe tatoos, but what do u think ?

    wow, i agree with both u and rickylp, i think it depends on hows hes written as well, i just like to see earlier riddler stuff with him robbing people out of there money and getting away with it and leaving clues and then working his way up to kidnapping "jigsaw like ', and causing the death of some people and leave wierd clues at different crime and showing up as some type of inform and screwing people over all awhile doing his own thing and out smarting the police and batman all along the way.

i do think it would be fun for jgl in a solo movie or a start of new batman series and maybe both, john blake as robin/nightwing in a spin off and he goes up against black mask and hugo strange in a cameo at arkham and maybe harley quinn in a cameo working as well and a small cameo of the riddler pulling the strings and pick up in real time, like lets say they did make another one in three to four years after tdkr . in a solo catwoman movie have ann hathaway back in the role and christian bale in a cameo like role and have her and him enjoying there peace intell the run into the penguins goons and she becomes catwoman and take them down solo and angers the penguin and hires killer crock to take her out and crock nearly kills in a huge battle and p'o's bruce and fight crock and nealy gets his butt kicked and takes on the penguin and brakes his legs giving him in the walk that hes know for and the both escape back to gotham city with a huge shippment of guns and in comes batman 4, black mask joins forces with the penguin and is secretly getting paid by the riddler and pays crock to find gordons family and puts them into death traps and black mask and the penguin over power the police and jim gordons on the verge of going crazy when he gets info from the riddler that he kidnapped his ex wife and kids and robin/nightwing just barley stops black mask and sents him to jail and the penguin forces black masks group to join forces with his and penguin hires crock to take down robin/nightwing and he nearly kills him in a huge fight and finally bruce shows up and helps a recovering robin/nightwing and trains together and takes down crock together and catwoman attacks the penguin and takes him down , only to find out the riddler is pulling the strings all along and catches her off guard and kidnaps her and puts her in a death trap and sents a video message to the masses and angers batman something ferce and sents gordon a strange map and with strange clues where is family could be as well as catwoman.......that as far as got, what u guys think ?

that sounds fun, i would luv the riddler done right, just like heaths joker and yeah have im as a hybred of good riddler stories roled up into one and have black mask as well and the penguin. I would luv for him to be the main villian and black mask and the penguin in some sort of gang war.

Dick Grayson has from the silver age been the Next Batman. why are we making movies for people NOT interested in the Genre in the first place? how bout making it a chick Flick or Musical comedy so that we can draw those ticket buyers into it? do you see any Action films tryingto draw non action film audiences? Or horror films being made to draw those NOT interested in horror movies? NO... So why is it we have to water down this genre of film for those who will NEVER EVER come see it?
