Joseph Gordon-Levitt was on the "Late Show with David Letterman" last night to talk about his new movie Looper. Letterman kicked off the interview with some The Dark Knight Rises talk and got Gordon-Levitt to speak about the ending in great detail. While I'd love to see them continue with Gordon-Levitt as Batman, I think it's clear that Warner Bros. is going to leave Christopher Nolan's trilogy alone and move onto a Justice League project. Have soo much talk about Batman and JLA movie future, in the end everthing to me its a possibility, even Robin Blake back as Batman. And i think Joe Gordo made the best interpretation of Robin in other media than comics and its one of the highlights of TDKR.

Of course Bruce survives, i dont know why people invent these conspiracies. People ussualy be over-the-top-cerebral with Nolan. Same thing with the end of Inception, the top-with-never-ending-spin are something more symbolical than a fact.

Something in JGL's face expresses that he knows more than what he is saying, but can't afford to reveal anything for now. He has no control, but something maybe assembling at the WBros. factory.
I am not sure about all that, but I will say that this is the first of about 4 interviews with JGL that he finally is not as secretive or reserved about TDKR as he was in previous interviews (MTV, Jimmy Kimmel, and IGN I think it was), and I am not just talking about being secretive with the ending so much as just answering questions about what the whole Blake discovering the Batcave really means and does it mean a spin off project for Nightwing, Batman Beyond, or something along those lines. The one that I think might be an IGN interview is the one where he and Gary Oldman are being interviewed together, and Oldman actually talks more openly, in my opinion, about TDKR. JGL always says what a great ending TDKR had when asked if his character discovering the Batcave is setting up something more instead of giving a clearer answer. Even "I don't know" would be a better answer than no real clear answer that just dodges the question. To me a perfect ending would stop Batman at this movie and not even hint at a possible new beginning or continuation, so I am with you that there might be something going on at WB, but I can't say I see anything in his face that is telling me that he knows something that he is not telling us. All I know is that I would love to see JGL continue Nolan's Batman World and not start all over again. And if they really are, than please tell us sooner than later. Wait 7 years before making a new movie with JGL in it, heck I don't care, just tell us something if that is the route they are heading towards. I guess I am one that is not sure yet that they won't.
What I'm assuming is that WB might have a "Nightwing/Robin" idea that they're thinking about "green-lighting", but want to see how JGL can hold on his own as a leading actor (like with Looper coming up). It would be too soon for JGL to say something now so... but yeah, with the right script and production, I'd love to see that.
Looper looks so freaking good. Can't wait for it. Also there is just one ending to the Dark Knight Rises. Bruce is alive and Blake is going to take up the mantle. It's not like the end of Inception.

If you noticed with the editing of the film, it shows him in
the cockpit THEN it shows the nuke with 5 sec. to go. It never shows him in the
cockpit again after that. In editing
there are no rules for how much time needs to take place between cuts. During
that cut from the first shot to the next, we don't know how much time passed.
It could have been just enough time for him to escape the cockpit. There is no
doubt in my mind that the order of those two specific shots was very
intentional to the way it was. He is most definitely alive.Yes, there's no rules or time restriction in cutting. BUT, the bip sound of each seconds counting down to bomb going off, is the proof that he was indeed in the cockpit with five seconds to go.
If WB greenlights a Nightwing flick, it should have a different look and feel from the TDK Triology so that it shows that it's its own franchise. I think it should be not as "grounded in reality" and visually- stylized. Something along the lines of "Sin City" or "Watchmen". A "Ninja/Film-Noir" so-to-speak.
JGL can do some serious physical training for Nightwing.
Have a backstory where after John Blake quits the GPD's, he joins a "Cirque du Soleil"-type circus and uses his new Acrobat abilities and costumes to become Nightwing. Lucius Fox becomes aware of John Blake and creates the signature "Escrima sticks" for him, Jim Gordon uses the Bat-Signal, etc. etc....just a thought.I'm glad WB is going to leave Nolan's trilogy alone. As far as I'm concerned Christian Bale is, and always will be Batman. No disrespect to JGL, but making another Batman movie so soon after the trilogy, with any one other than Bale, is just plain foolish. If WB wants to make money, and I'm pretty sure they do, they would concentrate on bringing Nolan back to continue the Batman franchise. It's not like Nolan set out to do a trilogy anyway. And even if he had, nothing is set in stone. Besides Christian Bale already said he'd be willing to come back for a fourth go round, if Nolan was on board.
For the record I don't think a Batman reboot will come any where near the heights of the Nolan trilogy, and in fact will probably fail miserably. I'm thinking $125 million at the box office miserable. It's too hard to match the standards set by Nolan and Bale. I don't think there will ever be a Batman flick again that rivals the trilogy. And I'm not saying that WB shouldn't attempt another Batman movie, but let some notable time pass so that the hype and popularity of the trilogy have time to cool.
