The Dark Knight Rises keeps on dominating the box office. With a $488.6 million international total as of yesterday, it has surpassed the entire $469.7 million overseas gross of 2008's The Dark Knight. Factor in the domestic box office numbers, and The Dark Knight Rises is expected to pass the $900 million mark today or tomorrow. With The Dark Knight Rises scheduled to be released in China and Italy later this month, I'll be reporting that it broke $1 billion in no time!

I am gong to miss the best director we ever had for a dc comic movie made us see the best batman movies we had we laugh cryed cheered loud for our hero batman in the movies i am going to miss that for sure
What is your take on the ending? I watched the Jimmy Kennel interview with Joseph Gordon Levitt after watching TDKR this weekend, and he asks the perfect question... Why set up Robin and not do another or a spin off or something? I guess I am just wishing for the impossible but it doesn't seem like an ending to me, but rather, a setting up for more to come despite Nolan saying he will not direct anymore Batman movies. He had to have known fans would interpretate the ending as a new begining, or a setting up for a fourth movie. That's my take anyways.

Actually no. Christian Bale has even gone on record saying he would consider doing another Batman movie. I know he said that Christopher Nolan would have to direct it, so this is the difficult part since Nolan has repeatedly said that this would be it. Nolan also said that Robin would never exist in his interpretation of Batman, so I just think it is confusing to the fans to hear one thing, but have something like the name Robin even mentioned in a Nolan Batman movie.
as for robin,maybe, nolan wanted to give tribute to the superhero......but being a batman fan i also want a sequel to the TDKR, no reboot
i said tribute 'cuz they didn't use the word robin in the whole movie........they mention it only in the end
I hear you. I really can't stand reboots. I know Batman needed one really bad, after the Batman and Robin movie, but Spiderman did not, and I know that many fans of that comic book hero think it needed a reboot, I just don't believe Spiderman 3 was as terrible as Batman and Robin. Now that we have one, I just wish they would not do another for Batman, and instead, make a 4th movie like you said.
His name was Robin it was just a tease they never indicated he would become Robin lol just becuase his name is Robin dosen't mean he is gonna be a Robin he goes in a batcave he'll be the new dark knight or he won't its a 50 50 I think there is no blowing up the balloon they just left it upto a viewer how they wanna interpret the ending Bruce Wayne is dead to Gotham and everyone knows batman is bruce lol its the end deal with it quit trying convince yourself they are making a fourth one because they are not they are going for a reboot to set up a new univerise and have a Justice League movie i accidently clicked reply to your boyinblue

The way I see it is like this...If Nolan and company can play around and just give Blake the name Robin and not mean anything by it, than he is very capable of changing his mind on not doing another Batman movie. I am not convinced that he will do another one I am just saying to look at the facts. He said no Robin, he at least puts his name in the movie. At one time Bale said he would not do a movie with Robin in it yet he did. Somehow in their minds they justified the idea of having Robin in the movie, even if it was just to give Blake the name Robin and mean anything more by it. I would hope that as fans of Batman we are not stupid and, in fact, know what the name Robin means in the Batman stories. I would expect Nolan to know the same and not just give Blake that name for the heck of it, otherwise, I think it takes away from Nolan himself. I like to think he has something up his sleeve for the future of this Batman Universe that he has created even if he is not going to be the director anymore. We should let our imaginations run with that idea right there.
but we also can't ignore that nolan has now jumped from batman to superman

See there you go. One of many reasons they need to do a 4th movie. Are we sure Robin is going to be the new Batman, or will he be Nightwing, with Bruce Wayne at least being there to consult with him, train him and so forth. If they did something like that than Bruce Wayne does not have to were the Batman uniform anymore he could just be behind the senes when needed. I wish Nolan would be interviewed and answer the question as to why set up Robin if he is not going to direct or overlook a 4th movie with a new director.
I dont mind if nolan coproduce a new batman or produce it i think he would see which director would fit the bill

The only problem with it opening in China is it's opening the same day as The Amazing Spider-Man and Prometheus comes out a week later.
AFTER THE TRAGIC INCIDENTS IN AURORA THE U.S. WAS MEANT TO REACT IN A RESPECTFUL WAY AGAINST THE MOVIE (THAT MEANS NOT SEEING IT NOR CONSIDERING IT FOR THE OSCAR AWARDS AT LEAST NOT IN THE RECENT TIME OR IN THEIR COMMENTS), HOWEVER OVERSEAS AND INTERNATIONALLY THE FILM HAS RISEN FROM THE TRAGEDY JUST AS BATMAN DID IN THE FILM, DESHI DESHI BASARA BASARA DESHI DESHI BASARA BASARA, CLIMBING OUT OF THE WELL ONCE AGAIN THE DARK KNIGHT RISES IN EVERY ASPECT.
I really enjoyed tdkr and tom was a awesome bane and anne's catwoman was awesome and jgl was great, if the do spin-off film with anne as catwoman again could be fun with chris nolan producing and on script would be fun and not 100% sure on villains for her maybe a cameo from the riddler lowering bruce and selina to come back to gotham, and in a fourth batman movie, have the riddler as the main enemy with him using killer crock as muscle "since there was nod to him in tdkr" and harley guinn cameo and hugo strange cameo and scarecrow cameo in his cell with a door feather door the hall with the name plate "unknown" on it and maybe a nod to the penguin, i would luv arkham more explored and my tech looking and have a new flavor with jgl as either robin or nightwing or batman like hybred, one could wish. :)
