Box office numbers were released yesterday and The Dark Knight Rises has made $537.2 million worldwide. With that kind of momentum it seems like Christopher Nolan's final Batman movie will hit the $1 billion mark, just like The Dark Knight did in 2008.

I tweeted about them, but never wrote a formal review here on the website. I try to keep my opinion out of things and just report the news, but I loved TDKR. I just saw it for the 3rd time over the weekend and I think it gets better every time! That ending is perfect and still has an emotional effect even though I know it's coming!
anyone know what the highest grossing movie is and what it made? it's true that it's really not about the money but i'm just wondering
Avatar...and to be honest i don't think its THAT good but its because the director (i forgot) wanted to release the movie in the 90's but technology wasn't there. So it had a lot of anticipation in the movie world.
I know this is off topic but I see it everywhere and it's pissing me off..spoiler alert*************___at the end where maranda tate is revealed as talia she doesn't say that bane was just a henchmen,.her and bane planned all that shit together an it is safe to say that he is the mastermind and talia is just secretly assisting him in ultimately achieving what her father wanted..

I'm sure the shooting only had a slight effect on people. The majority probably watched. But yeah, I would like to live in a world where that tragedy never happened. :(
Please don't get me wrong, but why is it that a tragedy had to happen in the last 2 films that somehow creates a strong emotional bond to these movies? Am I the only one who has ever thought about it?
Beware of the idiots in the media who are already trying to declare TDKR a flop because of a bigger-than-expected drop off from last week. Never mind that it's already passed Spider-Man and is #3 domestic for the year. Nope, it's a flop. They seem to disagree as to the reasons. One group says moviegoers are scared because of the shooting in Aurora. Others are saying bad word-of-mouth and the lack of The Joker is causing people to stay away. I'm willing to bet none of these people have actually conducted surveys to find if and why people are avoiding the movie. Journalists are lazy across the board. They're also trying to push the narrative that the shooting scared moviegoers because that's more interesting to them than talking about the gun control debate. So don't let these buffoons get away with this. TDKR is a BIG hit.

I'm sure the shooting had a tiny effect on some people though. But the majority, like 99% watched it. The movie was just slow and now it's picking up.
i think theres a conspiracy with the aurora thing in my theory only tho somone knows TDKR will be a great movie of all time so they wanted to stop it, for some reason. eather way some people can be mind controled into doing such its just a matter of money or blackmail life threatening. on my oponion. RIP for those victims for me TDKR is a great movie it has been interpreted so many times it has grew to morthan just a super hero movie.

I want to see it in the big IMAX theater! I've seen it twice in the regular IMAX and regular screen, but it's time I see it the why it was meant to be seen. I can't wait. So glad it's doing good in the box office. This crew deserves big numbers. This trilogy deserves to end at #1 of all time!
