    here is my response to him:
    Dear Mr. Hurt,this is a response to your article about the massacre in colorado:It was interesting first and also annoying to read.With all your respect Sir, I understand your point about the Batman movies being very dark and real.But seriously: Is this the first movie where people are killed? Look at 300, Immortals, Watchmen etc. where violence without real reasons is proclaimed. The splashing of blood is for one purpuse: entertainment.In Chris Nolans movies, violence is portrayed very real no doubt but the fact that it's also denounced as bad is also a fact.If you start complaining about violence and gore in movies, you better start with the real issues. Just because it happened in a Nolan movie doesn't mean, it wouldn't have happened in another movie. It is questionable wethever to blame the movie partly or not but honestly the way you address Nolan and Warner makes you look like a jealous school prick and is ,I have to say, most disgusting . You may be right about Sean Penn (for the most part) but please before you start making statements about filmmakers being murderers perhaps look around you and start with the real terrorists like the Hisbollah or Hamas or what is going on in the government (which is a huge deal in the Dark Knight Rises).. But you certainly wouldn't do that because you're afraid to do so aren't you? While you speak about filmmakers being to put in hell (I presume your last words were addressing that) you sit hidden behind a computer..I think it's brave of you to tell your opinion but please think about it a little more before publishing it to the world..God bless youbest regardsfrom Switzerland

    The more I think about this, the more my respect for Christian Bale grows. He is a great actor, and it seems also a very honourable person.

    One of my favourite movies features both him and another classy actor who is also a kind, genuine person off the screen, Hugh Jackman. That movie being The Prestige. Jackman has been a favourite of mine for a few years now, with his portrayals of Wolverine as well as other great performances, and just the fact that he is a nice guy.

    Christian Bale has now elevated to this level in my mind as well, and I'll gladly follow all his future work.

    Very nice to see Christian Bale visit the surviving victims, shows that he understands the human condition and how precious moments in our lives are. Thank you Christian Bale, thank you very much.

    i like how that photo's out of focus and under exposed. makes it all the more real, not like a press shot. Bale's dignified and low key visit keeps on making me smile and at the same time makes me well up a bit :)

    This guy was not my favorite Batman and think his acting was that great.But now I am a fan of Mr.Bale as a person.This was more than any picture could do.First class act.Hollywood needs  to learn from this guy.
