Sure don't! I don't think he has anything to do with LoS. I don't think he's "dirty" either. But we'll see for ourselves when the movie is released.

Now Batman, Selina, Gordon, Blake, Miranda (if we believe Marion) so many good guys and just one villain!? that's not fair.. Like two face, Blake will definitely turn into a bad guy later in the movie! I'd love to see him 'riddle' batman :)
I smell a huge plot twist U-turn for that character. I've a feeling that Nolan is painting this character as a good guy, just to pull up our carpet and fucking up with our minds after!

Hmm seriously? I saw Prometheus last week here in Canada and they played the 3rd trailer. But trailer #2 is a bit too 'outdated' for a July release, if you know what I mean.
This looks absolutely amazing! Color me excited! I think I'm done playing the guessing games, as to who John Blake really is. What Selina is doing in a male prison. Who Miranda Tate really is. Blah blah... I probably won't ever figure it out and I'd much rather be surprised when I do see it unfold in person. We all think we have the right idea, but who knows for certain? I, myself have some pretty good ideas too, but only the cast and crew of TDKR truly know.

Hi guys. A minutes ago I successfully booked the advanced ticket scheduled at 9:25AM, 19 JULY (Hong Kong time). I'm so excited! I feel so lucky to become the first batch of fans in the world to see TDKR! I will share my feelings here after seeing it. Don't worry. I won't give any spoilers then. It is a movie that belongs to all real movie fans!
Oh cool, but id rather see it at 12:00am in IMAX in AMERICA! This way i can be with fellow batman fans, talk to them, understand them and have a great experience. To me, going to a IMAX in America....there's just no better movie experience. Especially being with fellow fans to enjoy it with.

This is old news.
So this recently reported news that the MTV footage is now ONLINE after being quickly pulled from every website it was in and is just now available in HD is old news? Teach me, time traveller.
Way too much speculation into Blake putting on the Batsuit. Blake must be next in the GCPD chain of command when Gordon's back is broken and put into the hospital! With a Batman in retirement/hiding, Gordon had no choice but to go head to head with Bane, brave but stupid. The teaser from way back shows a Gordon barely able to talk, just gasping and wheezing, begging for Batman to come back.
Nolan knew the fans were anticipating Harvey Dent's face splashed with acid in the courtroom in The Dark Knight, and since this is Nolan's take, free from cannon, Harvey's face was burned from gasoline not acid. Nolan already knows fans will expect Bane to break Batman's back based on the research. C'mon look at that armored suit Batman is wearing! Bane is more likely to break his knee-cap clean than make a scratch on Batman's back if you want to play by Nolan's realistic rules. That suit is carbon fiber plates in real life according to Lindy Hemming- the designer, and in the story it's some exotic shit. Bane and by proxy Nolan is too smart for that, in order to take Batman down, you take him when he's Bruce Wayne and throw him like a ragdoll. Remember how Hugo Strange abducted Bruce at a news conference in Arkham City? Nolan's mind is like the Riddler, elegant puzzles that needs to be appreciated like in the Prestige and Inception, no comic book recycling of plots. I heard him compared The Dark Knight Rises to Braveheart, it's a war movie compared to a crime movie in TDK.
All I can say is, "Son, you're in for a show tonight!"

Looking at the teaser trailer again, I notice Gordon on his side unable to move.
If Bane did break Gordon's back as an homage to Knightfall, then maybe he has to rest on his side and faces a wall. Bane could have killed Gordon, but he wants a badly beaten Gordon to "send a message" just like Joker did to Batman.
Bruce comes into the hospital room, but Gordon doesn't see him enter, and Bruce uses his Batman raspy voice to ask Gordon where did he find Bane's underground base of operations. Gordon unable to move, and in a lot of pain talks to Batman without eye contact. Gordon promotes Blake and tells Batman to trust him in his place. This is how it may play out in the movie.
Ooo. Makes sense. Good call. I think GCPD recruits Blake to help support their police force while Gordon is bed-ridden. Once Selina confides in Blake and tells him all she know about Bane, John Blake rallies up all the less-fortunate and orphan kids of Gotham to help them escape the city just before Bane has the chance to lock them in his "no man's land". Blake's mission will be to protect the Gothamites (namely the orphans) while Gordon's men and Batman and Catwoman battle Bane and his men.
In the hospital scene it´s clear that Gordon is talking to someone next to his bed so unless he got blind or something he´s making eye contact with Bruce Wayne, the question here is: is Bruce wearing a mask or not?
I think Bruce is wearing the cowl when he's talking with Gordon. If you look at trailer #2, it's clear that Bruce jumps out of the window of what appears to be a hospital with some sort of mask on. And looking at the teaser if you notice to the left when Gordon is talking to Bruce, there is a very dark outline to Bruce, and it's not his shadow, so I'm sure he his wearing the cowl.
He would not wear the cowl without the batsuit, i bet it´s some sort of mask like the first time he met Gordon in Begins, think about it, it must be something you can hide in your pocket the cowl is like an helmet so I do not believe in that possiblity. Besides he would look goofy wearing the bat ears while sporting a business suit...
It may not necessarily be the full fledged cowl that he wears but it's something he wears to cover his face. And I don't think he needs to hide the "cowl" in his pocket since it's most likely that Bruce comes through Gordon's hospital window rather than setting up an appointment to see him.
I´m not expecting to see bruce entering through the window, although we do know he will exit through there. That´s what I said earlier, he will use a ski mask but there´s the more remote possibility of Gordon knowing who Batman is by that point. Remember he doesn´t say " You must come back", he says "Batman must come back"...

Take a look closer at the teaser. Notice something? Gordon's glasses are gone. Blind as a bat. An homage to Miller's Year One in graphic novel and DVD movie, lost his glasses and couldn't identify the guy that caught his son falling from a bridge.

I was thinking about this whole breaking-the-bat thing too, but I don't see how that can really work out like it did in the comics at all. If he injured him at the beginning of the movie then there wouldn't be enough time for him to recover and if he injured him before the 8 year jump, I don't see Bruce just sitting arund and letting Bane take over. I think that Bruce's need for the cane will be due to the fall he had at the end of TDK. Think about it...he fell off the side of a building (on his back no less), was shot and then had to ignore his pain and run like hell to the Batpod without getting any medical attention until he he managed to ose the police. I think he might break someone's back (like maybe Gordon's?) and severely hurt Batman, maybe in the knee, like you said.
Well said Amy. Your theory makes the most sense of any I've heard. And it's the one I've subscribed to since I found out there was an eight year gap between TDK and TDKR.
Alot of people seem to think Bruce's limp will come from Batman falling at the end of TDK but everybody seems to forget he leaped off of a skyscraper to recue rachel, landed on a car, and totally walked away fine. So I don't think it'll be the fall from TDK.
What interests me even more though, if he has a limp and needs a cane to walk around in the beginning of the movie, how the hell does he put on the suit to fight Bane? Or how does he recover?
I also doubt that Blake will put on the Batsuit but it may not be all that strange. I mean, he won't take up the mantle but maybe the legacy, somehow. He'll definitely be integral and play a big role. He could be the Robin of the Nolanverse or rather, Azrael. (although no costumes, obviously).

Can I honestly say that this it the best trailer out for the Dark Knight rises that's out? The music in this is just unbelievably epic. This is what I truly think is the best and most epic trailer out. Just amazing.

Some theories...
The Dark Knight Rises was shot in late 2011, during the on location shooting of Pitt, LA, and NYC, the Occupy Wall St. was in full swing, that may be a theme in this movie: social unrest, No Man's Land.
Selina: "Live so large and leave so little for the rest of us..."
There was a shot in India, green pond for VFX in post, that could be the rebirth place known as the Lazarus Pit, in which the dead body of al'Ghul from the train wreck in Batman Begins is recovered, and sent immediately to brink him back. Very sci-fi and not in the theme realistic for Nolan's movie. While L. Neeson denies being in this movie, his younger character is already cast. Could be the well that Bruce climbs out of the prison he is in.

Bruce use of a cane is highly suspicious. He was able to outrun all the police hounds at the end of TDK, and 8 years later is plenty of time to heal from a fall. He uses the cane when he is with Fox's debut of The Bat, a cane in private with a full beard, a cane with the valet who just announced his Lambo is stolen by his "wife" but he is able to somehow dance with Selina..."You're in deep with the wrong people." The use of the cane is just an act (homage to Batman Beyond?)...possibly at the suggestion of his manservant Alfred to defer suspicions.
One last thought: THE LEGEND ENDS.
Nolan's approach to WB for a Batman reboot was grounded in reality. It served the franchise well in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. In reality, a man that puts himself in harm's way nightly is going to end up dead eventually. Every. single. interview. by. Nolan. emphasized. a. conclusion. to. the. story. period. If you studied Greek mythology, there is a formula for a "hero's journey" that is used to this very day. In the end, the hero dies.
Selina: "You don't owe these people anymore. You've given them everything."
Batman: "Not everything- not yet."
If that isn't cold water on your face I don't know what is. Nolan is teasing the audience with such an obvious and provocative clue. This is Batman, a human, not Superman, an immortal. Batman has always been looking for a way out. He thought he saw it in DA Harvey Dent. He doesn't want to do this forever. And in a homage to The Dark Knight Returns, Batman has been looking for a "good death" his retirement has left him a drinker and bitter, cynical shell of his former self. Once he is Batman again, and finds in Bane a truly worthy foe, he makes a grand exit on a scale that leaves no doubt that he is dead. Unlike that Inception ending. Nolan respects the fans intelligence, he has always made intellectual films starting from Memento, so it only boosts credibility that Batman dies as a logical conclusion. Hopefully he takes Bane with him.

WB has an opening ...here's how I would play it. Instead of another reboot after TDKR, use the 8 years of peace time in Gotham City, in which Batman is in the Justice League. In case Bale doesn't return without Nolan, it can be played by a young actor like Jeffery Donovan from Burn Notice. Great actor and has a background in martial arts.
People have suspected the Occupy theme from Selina's comments, the trailer and some rumors, actually...
Same with the No Man's Land connection for a while now. Some things to think about though: The CIA is involved in this so a city-wide quarantine is possible. And also...remember the bridges being blown up? Could it have been Bane...or the government?
Neeson never really denied being in the movie and it already was official that he'd be in it. I'm also sure it will be just flashbacks.
I doubt the Lazarus pit will be used, although the well Bruce climbs out could be called a "Lazarus pit" as a simple reference. That would be great. Nolan wouldn't use the supernatural element of it though...unless he makes it like an illusion, like the immortality of Ra's in Begins. That would be genius!
We don't have a definite answer for the 'cane' theory yet. The movie clearly has a lot of time periods so some scenes may have been jumbled up. Maybe it really is a cover to draw away people from Wayne...I mean, it is suspicious for Batman to return, right? OR he could have sustained injuries. I'm pretty sure he barely escaped the cops at TDK and he was horribly limping and shot, perhaps somewhere important, thus the cane. OR Bane breaks him at some point. Bane breaking him is really likely because that's a huge, essential part of his story. He does use the cane in private which is unlikely if it were a cover. And it's not so convincing if you DANCE without your cane so I'm guessing he healed that time...I agree with the last part, it's likely that Wayne will die (either Bruce or Bats, figuratively or literally). Maybe Batman dies but not Wayne or the other way around. Or maybe "giving them everything" is something else entirely.

New information on John Blake and some confidential Gotham Observer emails, with little tidbits of info about John Daggett, Miranda Tate and some news on penthouse robberies ( I have a feeling the robber is a certain catburglar we all know well (; ) I wonder Daggett's up to...I wonder if he has something to do with Bane or the League of Shadows? Definitely something shady anyway. The more I read about John Blake, the more I like him and become more sure that he will become an important ally to Batman. Oh, why is July 20 so far away?!

Interesting his lowest scores were two 3's. One he scored a 3 on was, "Degree to which the officer is able to work part of a team and is courteous and helpful with dealing with the public, co-workers and members of other organizations." The second lowest score was about, "Effectively communicates with co-workers." In the comments section of the "Performance Review and Evaluation" sheet it says that John Blake, "needs improvement in his relationships with fellow officers. His toughness tends to make him judgmental of colleagues' performances and leads to him to question authority. Officer Blake has made a request to be transferred to Narrows Prison..." Very interesting. Clearly Blake is rough around the edges, tough to work with and goes above the law in certain situations. I bet Blake works with GCPD at first but decides to take things into his own hands when there is no Batman or Jim Gordon to handle Bane.
