Warner Bros. brought The Dark Knight Rises marketing to the TT Circuit Assen, a motorsport race which takes place in Assen, Netherlands. Special effects supervisor Chris Corbould was there with the camouflage Tumbler and Batpod from The Dark Knight Rises. Corbould has been working with Christopher Nolan on Batman movies since Batman Begins. In an interview Corbould explained that The Dark Knight Rises will probably be the last Batman movie he works on. Check out the video to hear Corbould talk about the design of the Tumbler, including what's under the hood.

I remember when the Tumbler first debuted in Batman Begins. Everyone just fell in love with it. Jumping from rooftops in jet-black. So nice. Then in Dark Knight they introduced the Bot Pod. Everyone loved that thing too. The only way they could possible upstage that the previous 2 was to tackle the air (with the Bat) and throw in 2 more Tumblers. :) Haha. Awesome! Sometimes thinking like a child playing a video game pays off!

There are 3 different tumplers in movie. One query. Why the are not black. Ok the vehicle looks stronger that last one.

off topic, I think this confirms at least a subtle homage to robin

I still don't think he's Robin, but that is an interesting tid-bit. Where'd you find it?

I really expect that "homage" stops right there! Robin would ruin the film for me...

i think it will stop there, there's not enough time to portray a deeper, larger, comic version of robin or whatever mix of robin/nightwing/ azrael he could be

this guy is amazing

Hahaha. Hilarious. Makes you think though - I've seen shit like that before. On the subway or downtown city, some crazy person will be running around with a Spice Girls poster or some crazy thing, and I'll just classify them as "a crazy bum" but they could in fact be perfectly normal people just acting out a funny skit like this guy.

The summer Olympics in London starts on July 27th, that leaves TDKR just a week to get most momentum of sales before people get distracted by other events. Since the Olympics is a global event with people supporting their respective nations it may have an impact on the film's worldwide gross unlike the Avengers or Spider-man.
However, this isn't the first time Batman went up against the Olympics, because The Dark Knight in 2008 also had the Olympics and did very well. And in 2008, the economy was nose diving hundreds of points a day, people were pulling money out of banks, banks stop lending money, and it was one bad thing after another as corporations demanded bailouts and their CEO's walked away with golden parachutes while their investors held worthless stock. How will Nolan's last Batman film do in today's economy?
Spoilers:
Early press reviews have confirmed an old face returning...C. Murphy as Scarecrow. And it's looking like M.C. was lying about not playing a certain major character...her LS outfit is a giveaway not to mention getting into a tumbler and providing the fusion reactor for Bane. A mole within Wayne Enterprises with board member clearance.
Keep in mind that JGL could also be lying and his reinforcement of his character in the trailers and tv spots hint at a much more bigger role deserving of his talents.

Dude, i think this is a tremendous bullshit! People are seeing too much... my guess is: JGL may use the batsuit in some part of the movie, just to confuse the enemies and maintain the "legend" of Batman as a symbol. Which is great thing already!!! Maybe Bruce passes the mantle for him at the end... everything is better than Robin or Nightwing IMO!
And i'll tell you this: what if JGL is just John blake after all? It will be a huge backfire for some part of the audience. Not for me, of course!

OOoo! I Like the way you're thinking! JGL could don a Batsuit to throw off the cops or whoever is in pursuit of Batman. Maybe JGL is the one who sacrifices himself at the end, while pretending he's Batman. That way Bruce Wayne is still alive but Batman is dead. Hence, ending the legend.

Since when does anyone care about the Olympics? Once everyone is finished ogling the hot female gymnast jail-bait, they'll go see TDKR.
I'm pretty sure that JGL is just a cop. The film needs new strong police characters other than Gordon to push this story. Just Gordon and a ton of nameless police officers is not interesting, the audience needs more three-dimensional and engaging characters like Blake and Foley to aid Gordon and deliver a complex story.
BTW I checked out that site and it give no actual proof, just more speculation and really bad logic.

Billions of people watch the Summer Olympics. You must be watching the special olympics.
Nolan and Bale made a pact. No Robin. Obviously Blake is the next in the food chain when Gordon is in the hospital.1 like
Wait.. What's wrong with the special olympics?

Good article, but that's it: "legend ends" doesn't necessarily means Bruce's dying, no way! I mean, the "symbol" will continue. I think TDKR will follow the TDKReturns comic path: Bruce Wayne can't continue as Batman forever, so he'll, in some way, pass the mantle to somebody and maintain the symbol alive, just like Ras did in Begins.
Another point of view is: the LEGEND ends, which means: the Batman will no longer be a urban legend, a folklore, and will become a Gotham's REALITY - ultimately accepted as a hero.
That's it: Bruce Wayne won't die, folks! Otherwise, Chris Bale wouldn't tell the press that if Nolan has a great story for a fourth, he'll come back!

A lot of people, who wants to save some cash are hosting parties to see Batman Begins and The Dark Knight in their homes before seeing The Dark Knight Rises in Imax by itself. Then there are some who wouldn't mind spending the extra cash and 6 hours to see it all again (without pause button) at the midnight trilogy.
I just re-watched Nolan's Inception for the second time, and it is an appetizer for what's to come. Hans Zimmer does some really amazing new stuff. The acting by Josephy Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy, and Michael Caine shows they're prowess and are at the peak of their careers. MC can definitely play an intimidating character...it is rumor she plays a character she has denied about. Tom Hardy is able to portray an intelligent leader and very creative. JGL can play a serious character and has come a long way since his sitcom days on "3 rock from the sun". CM was just revealed and has been rumored for a long time, to reprise his character from the previous entries as Dr. Crane (not the one from Frasier) aka Scarecrow. MC always Nolans' good luck charm.
The Dark Knight Rises is like a reunion party for most of the cast from Inception. Do yourself a treat, re-watch Inception.

And OEW pushed the 'like' button for ya! XD

Not the best looking Tumbler but... still an awesome piece of machinery.

Did you noticed that all bat-vehicles and bat-props in the trilogy aren't pretty or fancy? They're just functional... amazing machinery indeed!

Too bad i couldn't be there! It's an hour drive for me. :-( Was really looking forward to see it.
Is it possible that Nolan has "ended the legend" of Batman, but has allowed the story of Gotham's Protector to continue? I was just reading John Blake's official character bio and the signs do in fact point to him being Gotham's Protector. Now, I don't know if that necessarily means Robin or Nightwing, or Red Hood, or Jean Paul, or Azrael (I doubt it does) is meant to take role as the new protector. Maybe he just replaces Jim Gordon as a more legitimate protector of Gotham.

I just had a thought! Some people have been analyzing Batman's mouth and facial features and say they don't think it's Christian Bale behind the mask. I don't know about that, myself. But, John Blake could don the batsuit to throw off the cops or Bane or whoever is in pursuit of Batman. Maybe John Blake is the one who sacrifices himself at the end, while pretending he's Batman. That way Bruce Wayne is still alive but Batman is dead. Hence, ending the legend.

Oh boy... if that was true [the secret JGL character], i pray to the whole panteon of gods, that he becomes Azrael... it's the coolest character and the more Nolan-esque of all. But Red Hood isn't that bad too...
I've a feeling that Nolan is painting this character as a good guy, just to pull up our carpet and to fuck up our minds after. I smell a huge plot twist U-turn for that character.
