'The Dark Knight Rises' tickets to go on sale June 11th?

One of the questions I've been getting a lot lately is "when do The Dark Knight Rises tickets go on sale?". It looks like we finally have an answer! All evidence points to June 11th as the day you'll be able to secure your tickets for the July 20th release of Christopher Nolan's epic Batman finale. Many international movie theaters have been saying tickets will be available on June 11th, and just yesterday Movies.com tweeted the same date. Their tweet was quickly deleted however, which means the news isn't "official"... yet. However I expect Warner Bros. will indeed make the announcement around June 11th, and maybe they'll provide the first official synopsis and runtime too! As always stay tuned to Batman-News.com for all the latest on The Dark Knight Rises, I'll let you know when you can grab your tickets.

I hope there are enough TDRK fans that will go see the film to blow the avengers box office out the water..a movie like this deserves to have the bragging rights versus a movie that wasnt really worthy..hopefully damn near everyone tries to go see it within the first weekend..that would be awesome.

avengers was amazing, and hate to say it as much as i'm looking forward to TDKR it will not surpass the Avengers, Avengers has every right to be up there with the top, and Batman too, but it won't surpass it, sorry. Avengers is a CLASSIC, not some small time comic, they have been around (some have) longer than even batman, so to say they're not that good, is complete rubbish, people take away the true class of comic films when they compare them, people grew up reading all of these comic before the internet, cell phones, color t.v. etc... you can't compare all time memories like this, and with the avengers following up with colo films, and a few more AVENGERS ASSEMBLE COMIC MOVIES, you can definitely kiss that prospect goodbye. unless....Warner Brothers comes with a justice league?

sorry sweet heart..BUT..the only thing your right about is the fact that they were well known and well liked super heroes from the comics....your shortcomings fall in the fact that you really thought the movie was great..mediocrity at best, on the same context as watching cartoons, it was just something to look at.................The movie in no way shape or form can be in the same caliber as the TDK films because the story line is predictable and elementary. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to predict that they will all be alive in the end regardless of how heated the battle gets, having one villain for the entire movie with like 5 super heroes wasn't challenging enough for them, and then the plot they used when the agent died as the reason the super heroes to decided to finally come together could have been better written. I think people were so excited that the movie finally came out after being fans for years, that they over looked its shortcomings and was in love with it because it brought back childhood memories. In terms of film, the plot, storyline, climax, and conclusion could have been and should have been way better. Had it been written and directed better i might agree with you but it wasn't. Of course TDK has its faults where it may be but compared to the avengers forget it. I graduated with a film degree so not to say you won't see things the way i see them, but you have to look past the fact that its just a family fun popcorn film and allow yourself to critique it without bias before you try to defend it the way that you just tried to. Try again...i do think that since it made so much money they will have a way better sequel. And as far as TDKR not being able to have the same box office sales if not better, or surpass the film in its opening weekend #1 never say never, because it could happen, and #2 the avengers has 3D ticket sales, take that away from the gross of their opening weekend and i bet you they would not have made that much in all fairness, even with 3D i think TDKR still has a fighting chance and even if not its opening weekend i think its overall once people find out whether its a good film or not, the avengers doesn't have a shot in hell to have more money..

  I never said the dark knight wasn't a good film, I actually believe in terms of story line the Dark Knight Rises will surpass the Avengers, but in terms of box office maybe fourth or fifth place, but Avengers has advantage that it's more family oriented, Dark night targets more teen/adult range, that makes a big difference, and another thing, your talking to a double major in the medical profession (that means two different degrees) so that whole i "graduated" from film school so i wouldn't understand what? No i may not have gone to film school, but I've read comics since i was a child, the old vintage comics to the new ones and i am a film buff for a long time and when you strip this stupid MARVEL VS DC away I love them all and in the end truthfully it doesn't really matter to me, I'm just glad the stories i read as a child finally came to life and I appreciate that they have been told well. And another thing, to actually tell someone that their opinion is wrong and yours is superior is really immature, when you address someone, you don't try to belittle by calling them sweet heart and all that crap, just make your point and move on. But you didn't offend me, in fact you proved that your like all the others in the petty feud MARVEL VS DC, so whatever, in the end i could care less, i'm just going to enjoy them all sit back and enjoy on the big screen. If The Dark Knight Rises does way better than Avengers then I will very happy, it's about time comic book movie get the attention they deserve period. Just remember, Opinion is opinion, there is no right or wrong remember that. Film major or not, a movies magic is in the eye of the beholder. eagerly awaiting July 20, 2012!!!!
