Yesterday Warner Bros. released 4 character banners from The Dark Knight Rises, and early this morning they released two more on Twitter!
We also get a great look at Batman, the Bat, and the new Batcave from a small preview article in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly. That issue is on sale today, so check it out!

The bat really looks awesome. The best part? it is in no way a CGI product. On the Bane-Batman banner; Bane's injury is directly to the back of his head; the very first image we got of him was with his bare back looking injury-free.
Your point stands, but the engines are cg.
Pretty sure it wasCGI in that missle chase.
Obviously that scene couldn´t be done any other way, but the fact is that in most scenes it is a real prop and there nothing like a real prop "flying around" (remeber that not only The Bat was on a dolly kart but also hanging by wires from an helicopter for some scenes)
Damn WB is on a roll. But I need more of Catwoman!
Can anyone point me to any good wallpapers of Catwoman? (Except for the batpod banner one, I already am using that one :P )
now if WB could just remove that god-awful 3rd poster...with all the awesome (and consistent look and theme, if i may add) of banners, it's still beyond me what the point of releasing that garbage is in the first place. Whatever it is, they sure made up for it.
well, except for this weird batman one. the composition is cool, but his face makes the whole thing look like one of those pieces of art used for toys..
No. I'm not referring to "that" awesome banner: I'm referring to the 3rd, teaser-poster-recycled, Batman-Photoshop-overlayed poster...the poster that started the majority on this website's week on a dreaded note.
Then you must have hated TDK's poster with Batman in front of a building with the batsign on fire.
on the contrary, i absolutely loved that particular TDK poster...here's an idea: set/ view those 2 posters side-by-side, and you'll get the point. Hell, check out the numerous GIFs on how (accurately, mind you) the 3rd poster was made...
Anyway, for those who have moved on from that, sorry for bringing up that topic again...i know it has been discussed/ scrutinized like an income tax return the day that came out...should have just let it go and instead savor all this awesome banners and TV spots so far.

The Batman banner is probably one of best posters ever made with the character, together with the Cave poster from Begins and "World Without Rules" from TDK.

For the first time I will criticize part of the viral marketing...that Batman banner looks pretty bad. He just looks awkward and out of place, unfortunately. I wish they did a better job on it.
I can't think of why Bane would hate Batman enough to cripple him. Judging by all these shots he's got a huge support group. Therefore, we can easily assume he's good with words and great at promoting people to his cause. He's a very smart dude. We know this from the comics. So with that said I can't see how Ra's or anyone could manipulate him to the point where he despises Batman.
He must have some justification beyond "Batman is good" for wanting to destroy him so badly.
Absolutely! Deeper purpose is what comes to my mind... it cant be just comic-book hatred... Well.... we'll see!
You have to remember Bane was a prison man, and the world is of prison rules ( and I am pretty sure this version too ). Meaning that in prison you want dethrone the Big Dawg, and if achieved you now run the show. So who is the big dawg in Gotham ... the Bat-man.
That explains why there's a big hole above the Batcave.

I've been saving up for one of those.
For all you people speculating if Miranda Tate is actually Talia al Ghul I believe you are wrong. I STRONGLY BELIEVE SHE IS JUST MIRANDA TATE. This doesn't mean she won't help Bane, just hear me out, this my purely speculation:
THIS INCLUDES SPOILERS THAT HAVE LEAKED ONTO THE INTERNET. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!She works for Bruce Wayne and she falls in love with him (kissing scene in trailer #3) She finds out that he is Batman, either by Coleman Reese (from the Dark Knight) or she finds out the sketches like he did because maybe she took over his job after Reese was fired from Wayne Enterprise. In one leaked scene her and Gordon being brought to a courtroom and either having to choose death or exile. They choose exile.
Being exiled means that you have to walk across a frozen river (leaked footage was shown while they were filming in LA) but only Gordon is seen walking across the river. What happened to Miranda? My thought is that she told Bane of Bruce Wayne's dirty little secret in exchange for her freedom and then that is when Bane kidnaps Bruce. (seen in multiple trailers)
She is also seen being escorted by Bane's Mercenaries because maybe she is playing Bane into thinking that she has more information that she is telling. She tells him about Bruce and about the Batcave but Bane believes there is more that she knows. She helps Bane so Bane would keep her alive and that is why you see her getting out of the tumbler (in leaked footage shot in City Hall in Pittsburg)
That is my speculation on what she is in the movie. Please like this or comment with any questions you have for me and I will respond :)
Good job, I remember those leaked scenes too, I also think john Blake goes by the codename Azreal but never dons the cowl.
I do not think she is that selfish in the story. Its a good theory but I believe Miranda Tate is more integrated into the story than one might think. I think Bane will use her to get into Wayne Enterprise and perhaps her knowledge of developing clean energy will be useful for Bane's devices that he is planning on using. Maybe she and Dr. Pavlov will have a connection?
They've cast a young girl with striking similarities to Marion Cottilard as "young Talia al Ghul." It's going to be the big twist in the movie. She is Talia al Ghul.
Batman is going to be completely broken. By Bane, by his new love interest who turns out to be Talia al Ghul and by Catwoman who then becomes an ally.
Chris Nolan's Bane strikes me as having been influenced partly by Hannibal Lecter and Darth Vader - appearance and voice. While remaining true to the character's comic book origins, of course. I really think Chris Nolan's Bane just may gain iconic villain status. Probably not as revered as Hannibal or Vader but he is going to make an impact, alright. Probably more so than Heath Ledger's performance as Joker. Remember - that is Tom Hardy. Watching the trailers though, I just don't see Tom Hardy at all. The mannerisms - everything.
I agree. I would not be surprised if comic book writers and artist use the costume and motives of Nolans Bane. Not that I hate the original lucha-dore mask an all, I am just really liking this rendition of the character. We will see soon enough.
