July 20th is getting closer by the day, and marketing for The Dark Knight Rises is ramping up. Earlier this week Mountain Dew and Warner Bros. announced a marketing campaign that's set for June, and now television ads are starting to run. This week, ESPN aired an ad for the NBA playoffs which featured footage from The Dark Knight Rises trailer #3. We started seeing TV spots for The Dark Knight around this time back in 2008, so it's very likely Warner Bros. will air the first "real" TV spot for The Dark Knight Rises sometime within the next couple weeks during the NBA playoffs. Not a basketball fan? No problem! As always, Batman-News.com will have you covered. I'll have all of The Dark Knight Rises TV spots posted here as they make their way online.
First 'The Dark Knight Rises' TV spot to air during NBA playoffs on ESPN? (video)

If not then we proceed to Plan B which has something to do with kidnapping the loved ones of certain people and probably never letting certain people hear from them again. Tv spot now!!!!

Plan "B" was just the tip of the iceberg. I bet those fa**ots don't want to hear what Plan "C" codenamed "Inititive Cat" is...so they better think about it long and hard. We're accepting scenarios for Plan "D" codename " Death Becomes Warner" aka DBW...interested tv spot can't wait no morers insert master plan here_____________________

You are being racist, and this highlights your inability to comprehend that all human beings are born equal; this means that either your IQ is not high enough to sustain this knowledge, or you never got an education. Furthermore, you are being judgemental towards basketball by calling it an "untalented" sport, which is also wrong since every sport requires some skill. Finally, by your tone I come to the conclusion that you are just jealous you don't have the body structure of an Afro-american and you can't play basketball. However, this isn't an excuse for the hate you spread here. I suggest you visit a therapist first, to figure out how to deal with your own insecurities and then come back here express your opinion in a more proper way.

During the Stanley Cup Finals please! (GO KINGS GO!) :-D
Even better, they should have some TV spots during the 2012 Euro in June. Very large audience.

Watched ESPN today and they aired the 30 second TV spot 3 times! Not only that but during various parts of Sportscenter they would acknowledge that this particular part of the program "is brought to you by The Dark Knight Rises...releasing in theaters July 20th"
I'm excited for the promo to finally take flight!

I'm not into basketball, so this thing didn't said much to me. I think the "mixing" was a bit awkward to my guts!

This is great for getting the word out and finally promoting TDKR to the general public .
BUT, I for one, am not watching any more new trailers. I want to be surprised when I walk into the theater on opening night :)

Really? I'm trying to find out as much as possible. ( Oh yeah by the way, reading stuff on this site is not helping you with being "suprised".)

The TV spots won't be revealing much if anything at all. It's all going to be clips we've already seen rehashed and trimmed down to fit a 30 second clip

Brilliant. We’re now getting a TV spot but still no theatrical poster.
