Reminder: Saturday May 5th is Free Comic Book Day

There's no better time to introduce your friends, family, or significant other to the world of comic books than Free Comic Book Day.

Participating comic shops around the world will be giving out a selection of free comic books and, if your shop is extra cool, they'll probably have a big sale on all of their back issues and maybe even give out free food and prizes! It's a great way to spend a Saturday and get your friends as hooked on comics as you are.

Over 3.5 million free comics are expected to fly off shelves tomorrow at over 2,000 shops. There will be comics featuring Superman, Spider-Man, Star Wars, Transformers, Dinosaurs vs. Aliens, Peanuts, Zombies, and more. There's a free book for every taste and every age range.

To find out what the free comics are and if your local store is participating in Free Comic Book Day, go to FreeComicBookDay.com.

Then, when Free Comic Book day is over, come back here and write in the comments about your favorite free book and, of course, all the folks you converted to comic book fanatics.

When are reviews of Earth 2 and World's Finest going to be up?

  I've been pretty busy lately and the books aren't necessarily that Batman-related so I was debating not writing reviews at all. I've only had time to read Earth 2, but it was well-done. Like I said, it doesn't have much to do with Batman, but it is a world that appears to have real consequences to the characters involved and that's pretty refreshing. I recommend picking it up because it has a lot of potential to tell stories that actually have weight. I'll get back to you about World's Finest once I get a chance to sit down and read it. I still haven't read this week's Swamp Thing, Sweet Tooth, or Animal Man, either.

Pretty good haul... Wish New 52 – Batman: The Dark Knight #3 was free because I want it but I don't want to shell out money for it (Because well lets be honest it wasn't that good but White Rabbit was good...)

    Absolutely amazing!! The fact Clive is right there writing it makes it so nice; and its so much better than the old comics. Easily my favorite series in a while!!
