'The Dark Knight Rises' ending will be done completely in VFX?

Yesterday I was alerted to a tweet from Frederick Roche, a Location Sound Recordist based out of London. Roche explained that the ending to The Dark Knight Rises is such a big secret that only Christopher Nolan and four other people know what it is. However, Roche claims to know some information about it... the entire scene will allegedly be done completely in visual effects.

Does this mean there won't be any actors, or will they be acting against a green screen? It's unclear at this point. I just wanted to pass along this information since a lot of movie websites are starting to pick up on this tweet. The good news is, there aren't any spoilers about the ending of The Dark Knight Rises... hopefully this information never leaks out. This rumor just suggests the style in which the ending will be shot.

Ok, so here's a thought guys. Please note that this is JUST A THEORY! Maybe JGL's roll is not even related to "the present day happenings". Maybe he's part of a series of flash backs to give insight into Batman's effects on Gotham. If you want to know where I'm going with this then have a look at JGL and Heath Ledger side by side. Just a thought.

Your theory got me thinkning. What if most of the trilogy happenened in the past, and at the end we are told that the movies we saw (BB, TDK, and most of TDKR) are not taking place "now" but, actually, it is somebody reflecting/narrating the early days of Batman's career... maybe Bruce is remembering all that, or Gordon or Alfred or somebody who was close to Bats. I dont know if Nolan would do this, but it makes total sense: (1) this movie truly is an ending, becaus if this future is far away then Bats is retired/dead and thus it is an 'ending' (2) it is consistent with the trilogy being "the early days of Batman" and (3) it s consistent with Bale's claims that this movie is about Bruce learning to live, but too late in his lfe...

  Ooooooooooooo!!!! Nice!!! That would also leave Warner Bros to allow the story to carry on with a new director (cause let's face it they will want the money) who will have a GLORIOUS chance tell use one of the most coveted stories in the world of Batman................wait for it.................... The Dark Knight Returns. I think that would be the ONLY way to continue the franchise while keeping the fans happy. It will also allow them to recast rolls without disrespecting past actors (Heath Ledger) while also respecting Chris Nolan's stories. Personally, I would love this!

I hope either one of the three happens:
1. Batman visits his parents grave at night in full costume while its raining and pays tribute.
2. Batman (in full costume) looks down at the alley where his parents were killed.
3. (if there is a low point in the movie) Bruce goes to his parents grave, its raining, and he asks them what to do, like in mask of the phantasm.

    The Giant rolling Hotel Hallway in Inception is considered a "visual effect". As are the high speed slow motion shots, the green screen behind Heather Ledger, and Halle Berry's acting career. CGI is just another tool in Nolan's VFX utility belt ;)

My first thought was that we will get a CGI Bane. For me that is a pretty big secret , and would not like to find out till movie. If it isn't that , I'm okay with that too.

There is a rumor I heard where JGL plays John Blake and helps out Bats. The ending supposedly would be Batman having to fly Bane's Bomb out of the city. He saves Gotham, but is blown up in the process, leaving JGL's character to take over as Batman a la Ras Al Ghul telling Bruce that Batman is a symbol. This could also leave the door open for Warner Bros. to continue with Batman as they plan, while at the same time allowing Bale and Nolan to finish thier trilogy. The scene that is being shot in VFX could be Batman and his ship being blown up. Don't know how true this could be or if I even like the idea. Either way I trust Nolan completely and can't wait for July 20th
