The way Christian is talking makes me feel like Batman may hang up his persona for good at the end of this movie. And I think that may not be a bad idea.

Point 1 . Yeah i like it , one of my all time favourite Batman fights is when Batman kills The Joker in The Dark Knight Returns , and that fight ended in a sewer , so yeah something like that with Batman And Bane would be Brutal !
2. You know if someone forced me to pick a weak spot of TDK i would have to say Coleman Reese , i just think that plot point did not need to be there and just distracted the 3rd Act , so i would not welcome a return for Reese , I hope Reese took early retierment on his 10 million dollars a year ! O Wait LOL !
If Reese were in this film and if what Sammy says happened,then I'd rather Bane killed Reese after he tells him who the Batman is and that weak spot will be gone.That'll be better than to have him disappear without a mention.
That's an awesome idea, I think. And just to input my opinion...I thought the only real weak spot in TDK was the complete lack of mention of Bruce's parents.
Agree! And i would add another possible flaw: i was dying to know what's happened to Zsasz in TDK, but Nolan had mentioned only Scarecrow. As far as i remember, Batman nor the police captured him... I would really love to see some mr Zsasz cameo in TDKR!

Christian Bale is the best. Not just Batman, but one of the best all around commited actors. He always bring his A game and have the upmost confidence in him and everyone involved, It's great to hear that even despite all the set leaks that everyone involved has stay grounded and is focused on making The Dark Knight Rises an extraordinary film.

I don't know whether to like it or not,but Nolan's certainly doing so.We've known that since The Dark Knight.He made Batman look less stronger/muscular(but agile)than Batman Begins.Now,it's time he got a little older.

I really think this movie is going to change cinema forever. The leap chris Nolan and crew took from BB to TDK was amazing, no doubt Heath ledgers breath taking performance helped but the story was also thrilling. Christopher Nolan is not stupid (just watch inception) he wouldn't risk making a 3rd movie if it didn't surpass TDK. In these interviews with the cast you can feel they are trying not to burst out in excitement, they know the movie will be awesome and so do I. !!!!
Mr Caine said that maybe this will be the best one. Mr Oldman said the same, now Mr Bale says that TDKR might be the best movie... who am i to disagree these fellas!

One thing both Christian and Nolan should NOT do is to go to the Oscars.They get much less than they deserve there.Even giving Christian's Oscar was long overdue.
He seems to be hitting that Batman will retire, letting Bruce Wayne live again. That maybe rules out the idea of Batman being killed, bit of a shame, would have been an epic way to bow out. Whatever happens I wanna see Batman and Bane in a brutal fight, really slogging it out, getting close to death. There has to be in this film an even greater threat on Batman's life than there was in TDK, the suspence and possibility of it all ending badly has to be a reality. Bane has to be more dangerous than the Joker!

The interview is still up on Screerush. It almost seems like Bale and Hathaway are indirectly revealing that Nolan does it his way, or no way, and rightfully so. Maybe WB doesn't want Nolan to look arrogant. Bale's interview also reveals some plot elements if you really digest them. As for Nolan's "arrogance", I could care less. He has a sense of direction and animation that only he can capture. The guy always delivers and is a flat out genius.
God, I can't wait for this movie. I hope Catwoman isn't as big a role as I think she will be. It needs to focus on Batman and Bane (LoS). All of the other elements, like John Blake and Talia are pefect, but Catwoman should appear as a side show/filler. I'm a bit bias though. I always thought the character was weak and Hathaway is an over-acting annoyance lol.

wow... i am pretty sure nolan will make all of the villains seem like the main villain and i love catwoman and anne hathaway so i want selina kyle and catwoman as much as possible
I find it hard to believe that Nolan will make every villain seem like the main protagonist... Bane is obviously going to be the focal point. The Scarecrow role was exceptionally small compared to Ra's al Ghul in Batman Begins. The Joker was practically the only true villain in TDK, despite Dent's eventual turn to insanity. The mob and Scarecrow were small additives.
If you are considering Catwoman as a villain in this movie you better think again...
They should have had the interviews done next year instead of taunting us with the this year.
If they want to play that way then they can take their "next year" interviews and
1) Dust them off
2) Turn them sum-bitches sideways
3) And stick' em streight up (dramatic pause) their CANDY ASSES!

Saw this and the Anne Hathaway interview at Comic Book Movie, a site that has a history of making stuff up. Wouldn't surprise if both of these interviews are fake.
The fact that Warner Bros. asked this to be removed really supports what I thought about how this trilogy will end: Mr Wayne is going to live his own life, leaving Batman and the burrowing memory of his parents' death behind. I'm all for it. A great way to end. =)
What? I really couldn't interpret all that stuff only by reading this interview...
Think of what Bale was saying, about how Bruce has to relearn how to live so late in life. He's been leading a double life for along time now. And even before that, he was always driven by his need to avenge his parents. If he can get over that, does he need the Batman anymore??
That's what I got from it. And I honestly think it would be a good way to end the trilogy.Nice Theory but i have to disagree ,To me ,Once Bruce Wayne chooses to become Batman he can never go back to having a normal life , this is a truth Bruce is yet to learn, and why the notions he has in BB and TDK that one day it will be over and he can forget being the Batman is beutifuly thought out by Nolan ,but realy he can never have a normal life because for that to be true his parents would have to still be alive , and i believe by the end of TDKR he will come to terms with this truth , The truth that if he can not have a normal life because it was taken from him by crime and evil , he will dedicate his life to the people of Gotham so they may try and have the life that was stolen from him !

So, the only excuse for a normal life would be his parents being alive? What about raising a family of his own, perpetuating the Wayne family name? That would make his parent´s proud don´t you think? To see his son overcoming the loss and finding some closure...
Remember that in The Dark Knight Bruce told Rachel that there will come a day that Gotham will no longer need Batman and he wanted to stay with her? What about if Bruce finds true love in Talia or even Selina and decides to simply quit? Who knows? There´s even a possibility of Batman becoming someone else!
We will have to wait and see...

You should'nt put opening scene on that post he clearly state's "well just have to wait and see" sound's like he's guess'n and has no idea of what the opening scene is going to be.

Anne Hathaway said that they have been doing dialogue scenes with IMAX!!! (but her interview is also removed...)
But that is SO awesome!!! It would be terrific if they shot the entire film with IMAX. I would definitely pay for that.
I LOVED these interviews, and the fact WB took em down speaks volumes. I thought Bale was uncharacteristically candid when talking about the film. Specifically all the stuff about Bruce having to relearn how to live like an adult. I dig that the film will focus more on Bruce and his personal life than 'The Dark Knight' did.
Did anyone save these interviews? I'd love to re-read em'
Bale's interview is fantastic, Anne's not so much... she keeps repeating herself and that "Princess Diary" story about being catwoman in her childhood...

I'd rather have it at the end that Batman is meeting with Gordon and Gordon tells him that during whatever chaos that ensued a "female clown" broke the Joker out and the scarecrow escaped, making it seem that it will never end for Batman. Which makes sense, because it doesn't end, but he stays and fights nonetheless.
And besides, him retiring? In the teaser it kinda gives the idea that he retired already, but Gordon says he has to come back. So I think he'll stay.
