Batwing confirmed? I think so. Yesterday we saw pictures of a strange looking new vehicle, and today we have video of it in action! subaruwrxfan is back with 1080p HD video of Batman's new ride in The Dark Knight Rises. He got up close and personal, you can really get a good look at it. I've added a few more videos of the Batwing in action, you can even see Batman in the cockpit. Check those out after the break.

Now all we need is a cameo from Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Right, because this really steps into the absurdity of a Schumacher movie. *rolls eyes*

Sorry for replying on the first page but I can't tell if it's really flying or being held up by that truck. I suspect its the latter, as I doubt the films budget could cover a machine like that.

you can buy a plane like that with a few million ...

Which could be a significant portion of the budget, after paying the actors and all the other junk they have to do.
But is it real or not?

the film is being budgeted at 250 million!!!! are you crazy?

Holy Crap! That is amazing, guess this confirms it.
Also, anyone else feeling a Blade Runnder/Spinner type influence in the design?

awesome shots right there. after seeing some bad guys standing on the batmobile and stealing the batpod, it's good to see the bat with a new toy. but it seems more like a hover craft than a plane. i wonder if it go up to high altitudes.

I pretty much know how --- he is probably one of the guys who works on the set dude, and I most likely have seen him myself... I was downtown watching - someone is basically putting on a show - and getting away with some good acting - I could only hope they catch this person - he is ruining the entire movie..bit by bit

earlier we saw a brunette stunt girl in a black tank top driving that big truck. Maybe it's Selina who is gonna be in there.

Honestly, what is this is the BATMOBILE! Think about it, in a practical sense, a hover vehicle would make more sense than a wheeled vehicle. I would make sense, with all the limitations the Tumbler presented to Batman in the first two movies.

There's also the fact that there's snow. Maybe the Tumbler doesn't handle that very well!

Looks fucking class, Nolan's managed to make Batwing acceptable and brilliant.

Just a thought but I don't think it's an airplane or jet but more just a hover craft that flys low to the ground. Thoughts?

I should start writing on this website, i've been following this website since the it first started but i've never written on it. All i'm going to say is that this is going to be awesome, it looks like Nolan really is going all out in this film.

All I am seeing is IMAX cameras in Pitt! I really hope there are still 70mm projectors by July. So many are converting to the crappy digital and it just doesn't compare to 70mm.

holy f***ing sh*t!! it looks great! by the way, subarufan must officially be the unofficial TDKR production publicist. Does anyone have seen any other video of this kind circulating the web that isn't from him? exactly, who cares? there's a saying "he who strikes first strikes twice".

This thing looks interesting, but not something that seems like it could take off. The way the vehicle is proportioned looks clunkier it should, and hardly looks like a stealth-based plane. Of course the sfx unit could be able to make it work, or it might actually fall under this kind of trope.

this thing is the beyond words type of badass. I was already more than pumped about this film but now I just want to hibernate for the next 342 days so that I don't have to wait.
