It's a good thing Christopher Nolan has a $250 million dollar budget to play with for The Dark Knight Rises, because he's going to need a new IMAX camera! Last weekend while performing a stunt at the Mellon Institute, Anne Hathaway's stunt double drove the Batpod right into an expensive IMAX camera rig. TMZ acquired video footage from the accident, check it out. Luckily it appears that no one was hurt.

All i'm saying is that if it was catman that camera would have been fine.

To be fair, only very few kitchens provide enough space to ride a bike in, so where would she get the practice from?
I'm lucky to have enough room in mine to use skates that let me move faster between the kitchen and the living room to serve my husband whenever he calls on me.12 likes

and a batpod is very hard to control so that can happen to anyone

Probably wasn't the brightest idea to place the camera so close to the bike's path. Maybe they thought the shot was worth the risk.
I hope they can use that shot though! Imagine the bat-pod running into the screen!

bahahahahahahahaha!! looks like its a 251 million dollar budget now!

The stuntwoman's response? You can fire me, but good luck finding another stuntwoman who not only looks like Anne Hathaway, but can also ride that bike.

Exactly, you people can make all the jokes about female drivers you like, if it was one of you on top of that bike you would probably kill yourselfs in those stairs...
The Batpod is very hard to control, they took the chance for a greater shot. Bad luck, buy another one...

They also busted one during the filming of "The Dark Knight". One more IMAX cam to bust to make this a better movie than the previous one!

That Imax camera seems abit small tbh and there's no way it would be hand held ever.

I read that they did one hand held shot with an IMAX camera on TDK just to see if they could. In this set up, it looks like the camera was on an arm attached to a dolly.

ahh fair play, Thanks

With all the money Harry Potter made this summer WB can buy another camera :D....but it was a little funny though haha but thankfully no one got hurt

Ah, well by the actresses reaction, doesn't look like anything uncommon in the business.

Oh wow! Well, I'm sure she sorry about that!

Guys this is a sign of Good Luck , the same thing happened on TDK in the Joker chase sequence , an IMAX camera was trashed !

That is out of order , Chris could you please remove that comment .

you're the idiot that provoked the comment

What the F*CK are you talking about , FACT , During filming on TDK , an IMAX Camera was destroyed in Chicargo , that incodent was completley seperate from the tragic death of the stunt man , My point was refering to the IMAX incident , not the tradgedy , you IDIOT !

that is so wrong to say; Chris should remove it

A lot of the criticisms we're hearing remind me of the stuff that was said about Casino Royale. Daniel Craig couldn't drive a stick and a bunch of other stories that didn't matter when people saw the finished product. I suspect it'll be the same with TDKR.

They meant to do this look at it closely she turned into it in the end and Nolan likes to mind fuck with everyone

no. when she came out of the jump. the batpod wanted to go left and she couldnt control it because she just came out of a jump. plus there was a guy behind that camera so i am pretty sure chris nolan doesnt want her to almost run over a person.

check out my post. I recently visited TDKR set in Pittsburgh. Check out my pics!

catwoman has secret cat ears; if u notice, the googles look like cat ears and she can wear it as a headband and thats wat makes the catears and i guess she uses the mask under the googles wen she uses the goggles as a headband to protect her identity!

Let's cool it with the female driver stereotypes. There are a lot of female Batman-News.com readers and I'm sure they're all great drivers! :)

It would be funny to find out how many of the men who have made sexist comments here have caused car accidents...

Uh, shut up bro. You and i know female drivers suck, women can't drive for shit man. :) So let's cool it with the 'females being great drivers'.

so sexist

I regret posting earlier... statistically speaking, men are worse drivers than women. Never thought that I'd spark a huge chain of 'women driver' jokes. sorry :(

Being a guy myself. Most guys cause car accidents than women and i can except that so u cool it with the sexist comments just like chris said

This just shows that catwoman/Selina Kyle should never be on the bat-pod in the first place. Not only is it stupid to have her ride it/steal it from Batman (which looks really cheesy), but not just anyone can ride it...certainly not Catwoman who isn't a stunt driver. It's just too unrealistic for the Nolan world. Also, why did they put that black cover over the stunt actress at the end?
they put it over her at the end so no one could c her costume of course and i like the idea of stealing the batpod. maybe she is working for batman. we hav 1 year to judge and this footage shouldnt hav been out in the first place
1 like
i mean we shouldnt judge until its out

Haha that's a bit silly covering her. We can already see the silly costume whilst she's on the bike, not gonna be THAT much different standing up as evident from the couple of seconds we did see.

ahhh that would of been awesome for 3d

I enjoy the site, but I have noticed that other news outlets always have these things posted and more times than not, more info as well. I know the site was down a bit yesterday, but when I found this Catwoman story the site was up and there was no mention of it until much later than the media. Thanks for the job you do though :)

sooo it looks like they reduced the amount of prisoners and cops fighting outside city hall, that stinks it looked cooler with a crowd of people

From a bystander's POV from outside of the set, yeah it looks like less. But not from the actual film camera's POV.

I bet you anything that shot stays in the movie. Batpod crashing into the camera. What a great action shot that would make.

Actually, that really looks like the camera man's fault. He kink of sticks it right out in front of her.
