Update 5/20/11: Ok...who really cares what Anne Hathaway's hair looks like? The first official image of Tom Hardy as Bane has been revealed!

Selina Kyle/Catwoman has had many different looks throughout the years. She's been portrayed with long hair, short hair, black hair, brown hair, blonde hair... you name it. Every Batman fan has their own personal favorite "look" for Catwoman. When Anne Hathaway was announced as Selina Kyle back in January, fans immediately began talking about how she'd look in the "wardrobe" (as Wally Pfister put it) and what look Nolan might give her in his last Batman movie. Several great pieces of fan art turned up online as well, which you can view in the Batman-News.com gallery.

After months of debating what Catwoman will look like, it seems like London's paparazzi have given us the answer. Warner Bros. officially announced that production has begun on The Dark Knight Rises, and several set photos from London have already appeared online. Hathaway was spotted today leaving a friends house, and unless she gets a last minute haircut, I think the photo above gives a clear picture of what Selina Kyle will look like in The Dark Knight Rises. However, those wanting a short-haired Catwoman...fear not. We won't really know what Catwoman looks like until Warner Bros. releases an official photo (which is hopefully soon!).

Look at the ends of the hair. Looks freshly cut to me.
Also, they've used Long Halloween as a reference in both BB and TDK, and Selina had long hair in that, so it doesn't surprise me that her hair is long here.

We can´t say much according to this can we? For the time being I can only see Anne Hathaway as herself, not Selina or Catwoman...

  Right, but filming has already begun in London and she was spotted there. So it's likely that Selina Kyle & Catwoman will have long brown-ish hair. Some fans were hoping to see her with short hair like the comics.

    To be honest with you not for a second I imagined Hathaway to have to use short hair for TDKR.

      I always thought it was a possibility, but I'm glad to see she'll *probably* have dark, long hair.

Forget the hair. I'd rather she her arms and see if she's lifted a weight or two in preparation. I'm pretty sure Catwoman would have to be in shape. Hathaway still looks like a twig though.

  Although her arms look too skinny that has little to do with physical preparation for the role. MIchelle Pfeiffer worked hard for Batman Returns and yet she didn´t sport visible strong arms...

I don't really see why this is being considered the first look at Selina Kyle. They could still style her hair and apply make-up and wardrobe etc. Her off visiting a friend looking casual is not necessarily indicative of how the character will look in the film.

So, Catwoman will have a bionic right arm replacement in the form of a bunch of bluish flowers. The fantastic will definitely be a part of the last Nolan's Batman.

    I do have faith in Nolan, and all the talent involved in this film and expect them to do the best they can with what they got, but do I have faith in the Catwoman character. No!

    I was expecting that kind of response. I think the question would be, do you find Batman's look ridiculous? The only Batman costume I never liked was the one from the 60's TV series (better than Robin though), but most other version of the Batman costume has made him look menacing in some way, and especially in current Batman movies.
    Catwoman has never looked menacing (not supposed to), but is used for "Sex-appeal".
    Batman has his reasons for dressing like a bat, but I'm really interested how Nolan is going to fit in some kind of explanation to explain why she dresses like a cat, because the "Sex-appeal" angle is just not going to work this film, and it would make a mockery of it.

      I disagree. I think all of the Batman costumes have looked a bit silly. What made Batman Begins so effective is that they didn't just have Bruce appear one day as Batman, but showed the progression. First the survival suit, then the helmet, and then a cape for gliding so that by time you saw him as Batman, all the elements made sense. As for Catwoman, I doubt Nolan will go the sex appeal route. Instead, I think it'll be similar to what we saw with Bruce except that Catwoman isn't aiming to instill fear in anyone. Much like Bruce's costume, I suspect it'll be more for function than anything else.

        Wow. Let me get this straight. You don't like the Bat suit. I've heard countless arguments of how Bale's voice was annoying (disagree), and how his latest version of the Bat suit was just eye candy (I don't know where those "jokers" were coming fromf), but this is the first I've heard of someone thinking it's silly.
        Of course, you're entitled to your opinion but I think it and most versions look really cool, and I think all versions of Catwoman's costumes have been made with "sex-appeal" in mind or an all attempts to lessen this have looked really "stupid", so what your saying is to make her look more like Batman.
        I know it's all just speculation here, and that I should trust Nolan's judgement (I hope the production company didn't have a say), but this character has always looked silly to me (definitly not the modern Batman), and I can't see it working.

Who cares whether her hair is long or short? I'm more concerned with how the character is written. Hopefully this won't be like Batman Returns where she was depicted as being insane. I don't follow the comics, but I know enough about the character to know that that's not how she's supposed to be.

I don't know how will she appears, long hair, short hair, bald, brazillian waxed, whatever! But one thing I know: will be a totally different look, as the Joker was. Nolan will not pee against the wind in the trilogy ending!!

Michelle Pfeiffer will alwys be MY Catwoman, no matter what. But I´ll give Anne Hathaway a chance :-))) Tho I don´t think she is such a good actress as Michelle. Well, we´ll see about that.

Can't wait to see Anne Hathaway in her catsuit. I'm sure it'll look good enough or maybe even more than good enough on her. She is a fairly beautiful woman, and she can be pretty alluring when she really wants to be I think. P :)

How she looks might be important, but c'mon...Michelle Phiffer actually trained with the whip before hitting the set...if Hathaway makes it that far, fantastic, but it may take a little extra acting to pull off Catwoman without such effects

Did we really needed to be reminded, even visually, of that God-awful Catwoman movie from 2004? No matter how appealing Ms. Berry is in real life, that movie was a complete turkey and the costume she was called to wear in it was terrible. Am I the only one who thought the design made her look more like a Doberman Pinscher than a cat?
