Well, it’s over.  It’s all over.  This misguided debacle of a series has come to an end, and do you want to know the worst thing?  This issue was really, really good.  I loved it.  Batman was so cool in this issue, Wonder Woman was a stone-cold assassin, and Superman was the most human we’ve…

This is the fourth month in a row that this book has sold out from my local comic shop the day that it arrived in stores.  Do that many people really buy this book?  Why?  Is it selling on name alone, because if so it’s not even spelt the same as one of the most…

Welcome back to what is basically a prologue to a series of events that ended in the first issue of Earth 2 – Worlds’ Finest.  That’s what this book is: it’s a prologue to a prologue to a book which has become defunct since the start of World’s End.  And you wonder why it’s being canceled. …

Let’s all face it, this hasn’t been the most stellar of books since the focus shifted from Huntress and Powergirl to Earth 2’s Batman and Superman.  Hell, this might be one of the most underwhelming titles in all the New 52 that are still around, and the last two issues were proof enough for me…

When I saw the cover and solicitation for this book, I immediately thought of my favorite moment from the most recent iteration of the Batman/Superman line.  Bruce and Clark meet as kids and have that baseball moment while Jonathan and Alfred male-bond over a broken-down car.  It was awesome, because it highlighted the qualities of…

You knew as soon as it was getting good with Huntress and Powergirl that DC would pull the rug out from underneath them and turn this into another Batman and Superman story.  As if Batman/Superman wasn’t enough, or their indirect team-up in books like Justice League.  So if you absolutely needed more Bruce and Clark…

Here’s another Future’s End Month issue, but unlike last time I visited five years into the future, I got a bit more of what I was expecting coming into this whole experience.  Worlds’ Finest has been getting increasingly better as our heroine pair of Helena Wayne and Karen Starr, better known as Huntress and Power…

It took a while to get back to Worlds’ Finest, but at long last, our heroines are back on Earth 2.  After five years gathering resources on Earth Prime, Huntress and Powergirl find themselves back on their home planet.  The only problem is that their world has been torn apart by the war between the…

It would seem that the entire World’s Finest run has built up to this one issue, with Helena and Karen returning to Earth 2 after being displaced on Earth-Prime for nearly five years.  For the full recap of what’s been happening and how I’ve personally felt about this series since the very beginning, there’s the…

So I’ll be honest with everyone, World’s Finest wasn’t exactly what I signed up for when I joined the review team, but I took it on because it involves characters from Earth 2 and that’s more or less my wheelhouse here.  I hadn’t read a word of World’s Finest prior to about a week ago,…

No, you're seeing things right. DC actually released Part 4 of the "First Contact" saga 3 weeks ahead of Part 3's on-sale date. When I brought this up on last Sunday's "Upcoming Comics" article I asked if you all wanted me to review this now or wait until Part 3 came out and to my…

The Batman/Superman & Worlds' Finest 4-part crossover event continues and, in my opinion, takes a nose-dive in quality. It might be a good time to eject, float gently to the ground knowing you saved a few bucks, and fly with Batman/Superman again when the title embarks on a different adventure. NOTE: You will need to…
