DC Collectibles, those professional purveyors of playthings and presentation pieces, have announced some new releases for 2018. Unsurprisingly, there's some great stuff coming. In their press release, DC revealed plans for a Jae Lee-inspired Harley Quinn piece, some pretty cute "Artist Alley" vinyl figures, and a friggin' rad Metal statue. Two battle-axes, guys. Two. The…
Love it or hate it, no one can deny Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice one of its greatest achievements: a cinematic Batman aesthetic that is unashamed of its comic book roots. Prior adaptations almost unanimously favored all-black suits made of armored or rubberized materials, resulting in costumes that may have cut a nice silhouette, but…
Stately Wayne Manor, home to billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne and his young ward Dick Grayson, is a 42,500 square foot dream home: it's a huge mansion, sits on a gorgeous cliff (depending upon who you ask), and is conveniently located on top of a cave for all of your needs as a crimefighting vigilante. Truly,…
Another odd month, another outstanding box from Funko's Legion of Collectors. This month's theme has multiple meanings, featuring sought-after villains and product types that we haven't seen before. And of course, at the center of it all, we have Pop!s, including the best one Funko's ever made: Look at all his majesty. Check out the…

Our good friends at LEGO in particular have announced some new sets featuring DC Comics character that will be due…
I've said it many, many times before, and it bears repeating: the 1960s Batman television show is experiencing a well-deserved renaissance. With books, movies, and other memorabilia coming out to celebrate the landmark show, there's something out there for every fan of the zany adventures of Adam West and Burt Ward's Caped Crusaders to enjoy. …
If you can't tell, we're pretty big fans of LEGO around here at Batman News. The LEGO Batman Movie was a work of sheer genius, for one thing, and the toys themselves are always a blast to construct and play with. With Justice League coming this November, that means we'll be getting a chance to play…
There are a lot of great card games out there. There are also lots of great Batman products out there. Combining the two seems like a no-brainer, right? The good folks at Looney Labs have done just that, taking their in-house game Fluxx and, by partnering with our friends at Cryptozoic Entertainment, fusing it with…
2017 has been a solid year for comic book movies so far, and two of the best examples of the genre have been The LEGO Batman Movie and Wonder Woman. The former is a celebration of everything Batman, and the latter may be the purest superhero movie in years. Truly, they're excellent films in their…
Funko's Legion of Collectors is at it again, with May's Wonder Woman box. It's hard to top March's Superman, but this one gives it a good try. And if Pop!s are your thing, I think you'd be very happy with what you get. If nothing else, this has me more hyped for the film, which—in…
The LEGO Batman Movie has been a huge boon for fans: it's hilarious and heartfelt, poking fun at some of the sillier aspects of Batman while still celebrating the character through and through. There's something in it for every fan of the Caped Crusader to enjoy, with loving nods to the early 1940s serials all…
We can all agree that LEGO is a pretty great idea, right? Multicolored blocks of various shapes and sizes that can be used to build pretty much anything you can think of. There's something therapeutic in putting together everyone's favorite Danish building blocks, and the added bonus of sets featuring your favorite licensed characters makes…
Though it debuted twenty-five years ago, Batman: The Animated Series is still as popular as ever. Due in no small part to the fact that it is at least one generation's "definitive Batman," the show's reputation also lives on because it was a monumental piece of programming. Taking the core ideas of Batman and distilling…
Looking for a sweet, highly detailed Batman figure to put on display in your home or office? The Gotham Knight sixth scale figure by Sideshow Collectibles is great, because it possesses a certain purity. It isn't trying to be Keaton or Bale or Kilmer or Affleck or even the popular design from the Arkham video…
Warner Bros. announced that they have extended their deal with toy maker Mattel, in a multi-year agreement. That means Mattel will once again be producing toys and action figures for The Dark Knight Rises. Mattel has previously worked with Warner Bros. on the toy lines for Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. We'll probably get…
