8 on Batman Incorporated #12 reviewBatman Incorporated began with Batman's faith in Ghost-Maker to lead in his stead. Unfortunately, the challenge of keeping his promise to Batman pushes him to his limits. After unsuccessfully handling "Vengeance Inc." and now "Joker Incorporated," Ghost-Maker faces the reality that he may not be able to live up to Batman's expectations after all. Some…
Ghost-Maker has lost control of Batman Incorporated! In spite of his rededication to Batman's values, Ghost-Maker doesn't have what it takes lead them against the Joker. As the Joker's plan comes together, Batman Inc. must determine once and for all who lives or dies! Over My Dead Body During the hostage crisis in China, Bat-Man…
Batman Incorporated must race against time to stop Joker's new team before they hurt themselves and others. Even so, can the team accept that the only way to stop them is to kill them? Let's find out. The Only Option Batman's refusal to kill criminals is his most repetitive criticism. For personal reasons, Batman doesn't…
Batman Incorporated are now the unlikely targets of the Joker! Envious of Batman's international crusade, Joker deploys his counter squad to threaten, kill, and torture people all across the globe. As a result, Batman Inc splits up to desperately combat Joker's homicidal new allies. 9-1-1 First and foremost, Ed Brisson clarifies a few new details…
Batman Inc. eerily begins its Joker Era, as The Joker recruits his own team of international clowns. Following an unexpected attack on Man-Of-Bats, consecutive threats around the world further prove that Joker may be one step ahead. Secret Identity Crisis One of the main themes in play in this arc is the concept of life…
The Professor Pyg two-parter has finally come to a conclusion! As Batman Inc. closes in on their quarry, Ghost-Maker faces an unexpected temptation. Ghost-Maker uses the hunt for Lazlo "Professor Pyg" Valentin as an exercise for Batman Inc. In the previous issue, Pyg somehow manages to capture major Gotham villains in search of his stolen…
After an encounter with Ghost-Maker's ex-sidekick leaves them shaken, Batman Inc. flies to Gotham to do Batman a solid. However, Professor Pyg's rampage could be a more complex nightmare waiting to happen! Clownhunter may not have killed Ghost-Maker for Phantom-One, but he hasn't forgotten the events of the previous issue. While he hasn't left…
Alas, the evil prodigal son has Ghost-Maker and Batman Inc. where he wants them. However, the team are no closer to giving Phantom-One and his band of Batman-rejects the reckoning they deserve. Last issue I coined "Vengeance Incorporated" to describe Phantom-One's gang of failed Luthor's Batmen. In truth, while nameless, the group of murderers see…
"No More Teachers" part 4 does little to refute the ongoing indictment of Ghost-Maker. Easily divided by Phantom-One and his vigilantes, Batman Incorporated suffers an embarrassing defeat while Khoa disappointingly remains one step behind. I am a huge fan of Robin, the Boy Wonder. My brother would often play Batman, while I took the fun…
Ghost-Maker's Batman Inc. is a disaster spiraling out of control. The simple mission of tracking down a murderer has turned into an international mess. While readers get a reveal of the killer's origin and motives, Ghost-Maker and his team fruitlessly scramble to keep up. Firstly, this issue focuses on who Phantom-One is and why he…
Ever since Batman Inc. returned, someone has been hunting down each one of Batman and Ghost-Maker's former teachers! While the evidence points a finger at Ghost-Maker, several other suspicious players begin to make their moves. The Man He Used To Be Ed Brisson makes use of Ghost-Maker's newly fleshed out backstory in Chip Zdarsky's Batman:…
At long last, Grant Morrison's Batman Incorporated finally returns! This time the team is no longer under Bruce Wayne's benevolent oversight, and is now led by Batman's infamous rival Ghost-Maker. However, the new regime hasn't made any believers out of its members nor the readers yet. To make matter's worse, a highly-skilled killer targets Batman's…
DC's Gotham City panel began at 10.45am: the latest update for fans about what's going on in the world of Batman. People began their Sunday morning a little drowsy, but that energy quickly resurfaced once the panel truly began. Ben Abernathy, an executive editor at DC, introduced the panelists: Frank Tieri, Meghan Fitzmartin, Ram V,…
Several new Bat-books will be joining the already thick roster of Batman titles, and that's without including Harley Quinn. There seems to be as many ways to approach Batman as there are ways to skin a cat. Somehow, much like asking for someone to expound actual cat skinning, the more we ask the less okay with…
DC Comics have announced that Batman, Inc. will return, which is cool. I'm all about Batman, Inc. However, rather than Batman or one of his long-established allies heading up the team, Ghost-Maker will be their leader. Ghost-Maker, who was introduced not two years ago, is the trusted head of Batman, Inc., as personally chosen by…
Not only do I approve of the Batman Incorporated Special but I wouldn't mind seeing this turn into an annual or semiannual thing. Much like Batman: Black & White or Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight, Batman Incorporated Special is an anthology that features the works of multiple different writers and artists only instead of…
This is one of those reviews where I know that what I write definitely isn't going to affect anyone's decision. If you've been following this story from as far back as the Batman & Son days or as recently as the death of that son then you're definitely going to buy this comic no matter…
Not long after the interview with Kyle Higgins and Christos Gage it was time for me to speak with Batman Incorporated artist Chris Burnham. The problem was that I had tried to listen to the audio from my previous sit-down and heard absolutely nothing after the press handler introduced me to Higgins so at this…
The time for preparation is over. Batman is done globetrotting and recruiting new agents for the war with Leviathan. The war is here in The New 52 Batman Incorporated and with a story that takes place primarily in Gotham City and focuses mostly on the relationship between Bruce and his son, this volume has more…
Batman, Inc. #12 delivers the big awesome fight scene we all wanted to see last month but didn't get. However, with only one issue left, you've got to wonder how the heck Morrison is going to wrap all of this up in a satisfying manor. There really aren't any big surprises in this issue nor…
