15 on Stargirl 1x05 Review - Just An Hour, Man?Something pop culture often struggles with is calling out a problem and then actually criticizing it. Stargirl is just a teenager and she's making rookie mistakes, but it feels like the writers are making the mistakes at least as often--if not moreso--than Stargirl herself. Spoilers follow for Stargirl Season 1, Episode 5, "Hourman and Dr. Mid-Nite." "Hourman and…
Stargirl is adding characters faster than we can count as Sportsmaster and Tigress arrive. Stargirl episode 106, "The Justice Society," will see Stargirl and her newly formed Justice Society heading out on their first real mission. THE POWERS THAT BE -- Courtney (Brec Bassinger) makes a difficult decision after Pat (Luke Wilson) confronts her about…
So far, all episodes of Stargirl have a few things in common. Themes of family and loss connect the storylines, the visual effects are great, and I hate Courtney's stepbrother in every scene he's in with a wild, burning passion. In that way, the latest episode is no different. Spoilers follow for Stargirl Season 1, episode 4,…
I said in my review of Stargirl episode 2 that family is a huge part of this show, and this week only serves to hammer that home as we're introduced to the families of two villains while our hero's family tries to have family dinner night. Spoilers follow for Stargirl season 1, episode 3, "Icicle." "Icicle" One of my…

Stargirl episode 105, "Hourman and Dr. Mid-Nite," will see Stargirl trying to add more recruits to her new Justice Society. HALLOWEEN IN BLUE VALLEY -- As Courtney (Brec Bassinger) sets her sights on…

When I reviewed the first 3 episodes of Stargirl a few weeks back, I had a lot of issues with what I saw. But then, I have a lot of issues with just about every show on the CW. Flash, Supergirl, Arrow, and even Legends of Tomorrow have all had entire seasons that are tough to get through,…
The CW has released a new series of Stargirl character posters showing off the titular hero and her allies. Despite being a DC Universe series, the sharing of the property with The CW is leading to more traditional publicity materials. In this case, character posters showing off all of the characters in their costumes, plus…

Stargirl is still a few weeks out from its debut, but the CW is going into the full swing of promoting the latest superhero series. Despite the fact that Stargirl will be a shared series between DC Universe and The CW, it definitely appears that the latter is doing the heavy lifting when it comes…
Looking around the live-action DC landscape, you can find something for just about everyone. The Arrowverse is sexy young-adult drama with comic-book flair. The Snyderverse is a dark and gritty place full of buff dudes. Doom Patrol borders on art film at times. Aquaman and Wonder Woman are the very definition of PG-13 superhero flicks. Stargirl, the latest…
As Stargirl draws closer to its debut, we're starting to see a bit more of the numerous costumed characters that will be joining her. Ever since Stargirl was announced the casting of the series has sounded like a hit parade of classic DC characters. With the likes of Wildcat and Hourman in the mix, it's…
We're still quite a ways off from the premiere of Stargirl, but new photos have been released by The CW along with a new promotional poster. With television program production shut down, networks are in an odd spot for promoting the programs they have coming up. Complicate things even further by having a new series…
As the coronavirus pandemic continues to keep movies and television show production shut down, The CW is in the process of shifting some plans. The majority of the Arrowverse shows are now going to go into a rerun cycle to conserve the new episodes that they have finished. The plan, currently, is to have the…
At long last Stargirl season 1 has a premiere date. Well, actually three of them as it turns out. It feels as though Stargirl has been floating out there for ages. From production, to rumors it was changing where it would air, it just seemed to keep bouncing around. It was finally announced in Nov.…
The Crisis on Infinite Earths is over, and it did what a DC Crisis always does: end a lot of worlds. But while it assembled the Arrowverse, it didn't completely flatten the Multiverse. A final montage showed us the worlds that the Spectre created with his dying breaths. Here's what we ended up with: Earth-Prime:…
The first Stargirl trailer made its debut on Tuesday night on The CW as opposed to being shared via DC Universe. Stargirl is having a bit of an identity crisis it seems. While the series was developed and filmed as a series for DC Universe, it is now being shared with the CW. The episodes…
Stargirl will be pulling double duty it seems. It has been announced that the day after episodes premiere on DC Universe, you'll find them airing on The CW network. And the day after that, you'll find them on the CW app as well. There were rumors in Oct. that the series may move to The…
It seems that Stargirl may be on the move if a new rumor is to be believed. According to Collider's Jeff Sneider, there is a possibility that Stargirl may be making a move from DC Universe to The CW. The reason for the potential move is unknown at this time. This would cause some immediate…
