'Batgirl' not a priority as Warner Bros. focuses on heroes like Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, etc.

According to a new report from The Wrap, Warner Bros. is not in any hurry to find a replacement for Batgirl after writer/director Joss Whedon exited the project last week.

Instead, The Wrap says Warner Bros. will focus on the main members of the Justice League like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash and "possibly" Green Lantern (there was no mention of Cyborg), before making any of the spinoff movies we've heard about starring characters like Batgirl, Nightwing, Deathstroke, and Lobo.

Do you think this is the correct approach, or would you like to see movies about Batgirl, Nightwing, Deathstroke, and Lobo sooner rather than later? Let me know in the comments below.

Much smarter this way.
Play it safe, DC isn’t in a position to be taking risks with less popular characters.
And personally, so prefer this approach to Marvels approach where they just fire together a film for every character they have.
I’d rather there be a bigger focus on the better of the characters from the roster.

  Marvel has been building to Thanos for a decade now.... I love DC but gotta give marvel props for building a shared universes like no other. They put years of ground work to get the MCU to where it is today. I mean a Thor movie beat the first ever JL movie

    I’m personally not a big fan of the MCU. To me, there is such a thing as “too much” and that’s what drives me up the wall about Marvel. They make movies about characters I don’t care about in the least.

    Doctor Strange?
    Like stop wasting so much time on these lame characters. If there’s one thing I’d like DC to do going forward, is to not get carried away mixing talking raccoons and super soldiers in the same universe. Kills the immersion and makes it seem silly.

    that there isn’t really much the MCU does for me.

        Winter Soldier was a great film and Cap is one their stronger characters so i was actually looking forward to Civil War but it wasn’t as good as WS and then after that it’s just like bleh i don’t care about any of these filler characters they keep giving us. Can’t stand the cheesiness of Thor so that’s a write off.

      What has DC done that Marvel has not already?
      Ant-Man is a phenomenal piece of art that can be enjoyed with a loved one, a family, or even alone. Guardians of the Galaxy is the 'Honey, I Shrunk the Kids!' of today -- Families all over the world enjoys that film with which smiles are brought upon. Doctor Strange is amazement in all its essences, expanding the MCU into the mystic realm of possibilities.

        I can get all those types of family oriented films elsewhere... that’s not typically what I want when I go to see a cbm. That’s what I look for when I go to see an animated Disney or Pixar film.

        That's nice an all...But some of aren't fond of the overly comedic tones of these films. I prefer more serious takes on these character. It's weird when you long for the days of Thor 1. The phase 1 films were so much better than what we're getting now. And WS. This is why BP is so special to me. It doesn't rely on ridiculous humor to get through it's story.

        Daredevii and The Punisher are incredible. Jessica Jones was good. The Defenders was meh. Haven't seen yet Luke Cage but heard it's mediocre at best, and everyone says Iron Fist is total crap.

        What DC has done that Marvel has not already: A female led superhero movie. A movie focused all on reforming villains (it was a shit film, but the concept has never been used by Marvel). An underwater adventure film. That's off the top of my head. DC takes giant risks (although, it would be fair to say they don't pull them off often) where Marvel stays committed to risk-adverse movies driven by strict adherence to general audience appeal/your family friendly bit.
        There are many things Marvel has done, or has done first, that DC has not, but there are so many places to take superhero movies yet. I think it's hilarious and completely foolish to say that Marvel has done it all.
        This isn't a sports match between DC & Marvel, but I can see the primal appeal of that black & white thinking. Still, it's mistaken and erroneous logic that limits the art you will allow yourself to consume and allow yourself to potentially enjoy. I do LOVE the Marvel films too. Especially the last two releases (some of the best comic book films yet).
        Wouldn't Ant-Man be the Honey I Shrunk the Kids of today? Guardians being declared that makes no sense.

        The sad part is that Honey I shrunk the kids was a better story than Ant Man. Ant Man covered no new ground. I felt so bad for Corey Stoll having to play such a silly villain. Far too good of an actor to be wasted like that.

        I think "taking giant risks" can be defined as: 1) making the first CBM team-up movie, 2) making a movie with a talking tree and racoon; also connecting it to the movie universe you spent the prior 4+ years building, 3) making a movie about a hero named after an ant, 4) making a movie about a sorcerer hero; also connecting it to the movie universe you spent the prior 7+ years building, and when you previously went out of your way to explain that a flying hammer was a type of science, not magic.
        THAT'S what you call risk-taking. Not ramming the world's (previously) best-known heroes into a couple of pretentiously grim movies, thinking that's all you have to do to sell tickets .

    “Thor movie best the first ever JL movie”
    For me, that’s more of an indication that mainstream audiences have piss poor taste. I don’t always look at things in black and white ie: more money/popularity = better.
    I think it says a lot about people’s taste more than it says something about the quality of these films.
    Just the way I see it.

        I couldn’t believe how quick the 3rd act was... it was totally unexpected when it wrapped up I definitely had thoughts of “that’s it??”
        I’m not used to tiny 3rd acts like that in a DC movie lol. MoS and BvS both had super satisfying 3rd acts. Even Wonder Woman’s was solid enough.
        I wasn’t not enjoying the 3rd act either like i could’ve taken another 15 minutes of action and been happy.

    If they can just deliver a stand out solo Superman flick, and a stand out solo Batman flick, people will get back on board. They rushed this universe and should’ve taken more time to flesh Batman out rather than having his first two films being shared with other massive characters like Superman Wonder Woman and the JL. Because the first few films, were films that were crammed.. the quality wasn’t as high as it could’ve been. BvS and JL were too stuffed.

      I guess Man of Steel doesn't count? And JL was always going to be "stuffed", but to me, it suffered the most from a too trim runtime. Another half hour to further flesh out Aquaman, Cyborg, and Flash would've been nice...and another month to flesh out effects and not have to resort to CG trickery on Cavill's upper lip...which I may be blind to bad CGI, cause I couldn't tell as much as everyone else could lol

      You have to consider that this all happened during a time that people were whining about being bored of too much Batman, and they were criticizing WB for only using Batman and Superman in films.
      The only way to appease those vocal people and simultaneously still keep their current audience was to push for crossovers and team-ups that led into solo spin-offs for the new characters.
      It's not what I wanted either, but they're just listening to what the angry mob is yelling because they want to succeed.

        On the animation front, I tend to agree. Especially since they’ve been taken the last couple Batman films in really weird directions. Maybe they’ve exhausted themselves on the Batman front and need to give us a new Superman film or JL film. Just give animated Batman a bit of a break.       I’d rather one reaaaaally good solo Batfleck film and possibly for Ben to do JL 2 and Id be happy.
      A Matt Reeves trilogy with anyone other than Affleck makes me
      very nervous as I’ll most likely see it as a downgrade since I love Afflecks Batman.
      I’m very picky with how Batman is portrayed and Affleck is the only one i’ve never had issues with out of all the actors that have played him.
      As a longtime fan of Batman comics, this depiction of Batman on the big screen has been an absolute treat for me.

        Yeah that’d be the best thing. One epic solo Batman film to really send Affleck out on a high note. I’m almost wondering if WB aren’t the ones pushing Affleck out.
        Both of his films he starred in as Batman fell below box offic expectations. WB sees Batman as one of their money makers and they’re probably thinking if they reboot there’s a chance the reboot will do better... and they’re probably thinking of the future realizing that Affleck is getting older he won’t be able to keep doing more and more for them. Matt Reeves is willing to give them their new Batman and atleast 3 Batman films.
        WB sees that as the better choice financially there’s no doubt in my mind since Affleck couldn’t give them what a new actor can give them in a reboot they probably scrapped his solo Batman film in favour of what Matt Reeves had to offer which is shady.
        Everybody assuming it’s
        all Affleck that wants out... if he really wants out it’s probably because WB asked him to sign on for a trilogy and he knew he wouldn’t be able to, so they said fine we’ll find somebody else.
        That or it was all Matt Reeves. He came in, gave his pitch for a trilogy to WB but said he wanted to start from scratch with a younger Batman and he’s the one that’s not interested in using Affleck in his films. Which would explain why at comic con Affleck said he’d be more than willing to work with Reeves. It might not even be Afflecks fault that his solo Batman film isn’t happening.

Even though I dont believe a single word of any scoop from anyone who isn't The Hollywood Reporter, I do believe this is a huge mistake. They need to make some of the so called "side-characters" a part of this universe, especially the female and non-white characters.

      Batman was introduced a film where he had to share 50% of the screentime with DC’s other biggest hero. The concept was flawed right from the outset and people even called WB out on it.
      Giving Batman a solo outing is the way to do it.

    The universe exists regardless of whether everyone likes the Batman or Superman; this isn't a prerequisite. The world is established, the parameters in which they exist has been established, the way forward has been set-out, that is all that matters.
    I dont need to like Batman to like Barbara or Dick; he informs on their characters, definitely, but their existence is not dependent on how much praise Ben Affleck got in BvS. The same applies to Supergirl, Deathstroke, Batwoman, Joker and Harley.
    I dont know why there's this hang-up, to be honest. We've had the main characters introduced and the rest of them are getting theirs too, so why in the name of all that's good do we need more of the main characters at the cost of the "side characters"?
    Making one movie, of the two or three they make a year, a side-character is not asking for much.

        Then my argument is, why wait? For me, it's not necessarily about how long it takes, it's the "not a priority" part. I agree with you as far as wanting to see more of Ben Affleck's Batman, that's why I'd prioritize a Batgirl movie to come out in the same year as the next Batman movie.

        Iron Man is the face of MARVEL. People loves his performance because they realize the character of Tony Stark is superior than that of a grumpy man who can't get over himself. Iron Man's legacy will overshadow Batman in time. We are witnessing this in the cinematic industry already. It is only a matter of time before it's everywhere else; comics, animations, video games, toys, etc.

        In comics, he is picking up. Slowly, but surely, especially when in 2017's best selling comic was Marvel Legacy and Iron Man himself set to return to form. Games, they take a very very long time to create. After the amazing Spider-Man releases, the next solo-Marvel hero will be Iron Man. It will be a true revolutionary game. Also, Avengers Project game will be showcasing greatness this year's E3 in 3-months time.
        Hmhmhm. Tony a dick? But not Bruce? You cannot fight crime while dressed as a bat and still be able to truthfully claim that you’re fine in the head... Something any sane human would not do is force themselves to close off from everything and everyone because a bat crashed through a window... By comparison, Stark became who he became because he saw the damage he was doing and he needed redemption. He had a company that produced WMD and decided to put his skill, resources and expertise to good use using an armored suit so he would have more control over it. If you ask me, that is sane, it is a lot more understandable and logically better than dressing up like a bat with massive trust issues. Speaking of which, Stark does not have unresolved trust issues. Tony Stark is host to a plethora of personality issues and shades of mental anguish, which makes him a far better character than Bruce, but trust is not one of them. There is a fine line between having a thought out contingency plan and just being a paranoid a-hole. Guess who is on each of the line?

        But Batman is just so much more theatrical and exciting. It’s much more fun watching him pummel his enemies with his fists and maybe a couple gadgets rather than watching Iron Man use nothing but his tech and weapons that’s why he’s generic. Or even worse in Iron Man 3 when they have him controlling suits from
        a computer like that’s just lame.
        I donno man, i’m not saying Tony Stark doesn’t have depth but for me to enjoy a superhero I have to actually enjoy them in action when they’re the superhero and Batman being human and just taking out his enemies in very physical ways because he’s just a well trained badass is so much cooler than a guy that puts on an armored suit and uses weapons.
        And even though his popularity is rising he’s still not on Batman’s level in comics, plus he’ll never have the classic comics history that Batman has. Mark my words he’ll never be as popular or classic. His fans just aren’t as passionate as Batman fans. He’s only popular with general audiences that aren’t typically comic fans.
        And again, I think they like him more for RDJ’s performance.

        Not entirely true. If DC gets it together and start producing quality Batman films while increasing exposure of his universe, Batman is still hard to beat. Not saying it is impossible, but it wouldn't be as simple as you're making to be.

        Bruce is ten times the man Tony is. Bruce would sacrifice all he has, including his life, if it meant saving one stranger halfway across the world he's never met.
        I doubt, in fact I'm sure that Tony is nowhere near as selfless as Bruce.
        Bruce also has extreme discipline and dedication where Tony has none. Bruce has not only trained his mind to perfection, but his body as well. Tony is a fantastic engineer. But he's no polymath the same way that Bruce is. The amount of degrees, both scientific and psychological, that Bruce possesses and the knowledge that comes with it is actually unrivaled in the DC Universe. Not even Luthor beats him in that regard (though Luthor is still scientifically superior). Heck, he's stated to know more than Ra's al Ghul, for reference.
        Bruce is a much more focused hero and his level of dedication is damn near superhuman. His will is immense.
        Tony really isn't all that amazing, except for his engineering talent, which he didn't really have to work all that hard for, as he was born with it.
        Tony is also not "better put together" than Bruce. Tony's an alcoholic... Bruce has issues, but he's not that low as to drink his life away. He's mentally stronger than that. He's just a (much) stronger man in every way (mental and physical) than Tony could ever hope to be.

        It does not really matter if Bruce "trained" (Heh heh heh) his mind. Stark is and will always be smarter than Wayne. Think about it; Tony is a renowned scientific genius in mathematics, physics, engineering and computer science who has amazing inventions to his name. An aspiring man with the ambitious hope of using his research and inventions to make the world (not just a city) a better, safer place. In the fields of robotics, he practically created the Laws of Robotics. Who knows what Bruce was doing at 17, but Tony, at 17, graduated from MIT. He then went on to accomplish wonders for humanity and constructed his first Iron Man suit while captive inside a cave which is extraordinary. This is something Batman can NEVER achieve. N-E-V-E-R... Lastly, Tony does not need the assistance of others to design or really even construct his technologically advanced suits, he does it all on his own.
        I beg the differ, Tony is mentally superior and a better man overall than Bruce. As successful businessmen, Tony is superior, he knows the importance of money, business, and keeping his business going in order for Iron Man to be effective. Unlike Bruce, Tony is not short-sighted. Not only has Tony always had his hands firmly on the reigns of his company, but he uses his company to push the world forward, helping humanity in technology and energy. Tony Stark would make his father proud, huh? Can't say the same for Bruce Wayne... He is pretty much a failure. And please, do not get me started on how Tony is better at parenting/or rather teaching than Bruce (who has managed to lead almost all his underlings into traumatic situations that destroyed them), making and keeping friendships healthy, as well as relationships with the loves of their lives.

        Bruce is way smarter than Tony. Tony's a great engineer. That's where it stops. Bruce is not only a great engineer as well (obviously not to the same extent as Tony), but he's a polymath and has degrees in every scientific field (chemistry, maths, physics), computer sciences, technology and on top of that, psychology, criminology, etc. Bruce is literally said to be the 2nd smartest man on Earth, after Luthor, according to none other than Mr Terrific. Tony is smart. He ranks in the top 10 perhaps. But he's not the 2nd smartest man on Earth, like Bruce is quite literally stated to be. You've clearly never piked up a comic book.
        Bruce's intellectual feats range from unbelievable, to damn near superhuman. Tony's feats end with his armor and its applications. In fact, the Iron Man technology really isn't all that special, considering it's real world tech. The only thing that's impressive about his armor is the power source. That's the one thing we haven't yet been able to make irl. But other than that, his intelligence ends with his armor. Bruce's intelligence is so vast, it's almost laughable. He's stated to have mustered more knowledge than Ra's al Ghul himself, who's hundreds of years old. This is what I mean, Bruce's intellect is, to be quite honest, extremely exaggerated.

Has also learned Advanced New Development in Forensic and Medical Sciences.
        Meanwhile... Tony's nearing 50 and has only really mastered engineering and a handful of sciences. There's no comparison. Bruce is a literal intellectual god.
        Furthermore, Bruce is also a multilingual. He is able to speak English, Spanish, Japanese, German, Russian, French, Latin, Cantonese, Mandarin, and possibly many more. Meanwhile, Tony can speak English.. and oh yeah, that's it.
        Batman is regarded as the world's single greatest detective. Superman describes Batman as "the most dangerous man on Earth".
        In short, Bruce is a brilliant, virtually peerless, detective, strategist, scientist, tactician, and commander; he is widely regarded as one of the keenest analytical minds on the planet. On the other hand, Tony's great with tech and machines. He's the best at what he does, but his knowledge is stupidly limited compared to Bruce's and that's a fact. Tony simply is NOT a polymath the same way that Bruce factually is.

The only thing Batman has going for him is his theories (what help him determine strengths and weaknesses) and his martial arts training. Those alone does not make him more intelligent than Tony. Tony is a literal super genius who builds a supercomputer AI advising him, which is much more logical than Bruce can be. And yes, that alone makes Tony more intelligent than Bruce. You keep bringing up martial arts. Hmhmhmhm. Hand-to-hand combat but Iron Man just needs a push or one punch to put most of his foes down. Tactician? Obviously, Tony. He uses his mind for everything. He doesn't flow on hand-to-hand combat instincts. He constantly thinks of how to put down his targets as fast and efficient as possible. Besides, Tony does not need martial arts. His strength comes from his superpower armor, which houses the world's best weapons systems. In addition, the suit grants him preternatural strength, speed, and endurance and enables him to fly. The armor is so powerful it is now being compared to Superman's everyday prowess. It is as if you learned martial arts for 5 years. Then, you come to face me. However, I pull out an AK-47. You think your martial arts will overcome my firepower? No. The firepower I carry is too much to handle. When you have this amount of power, there really is no need to learn useless martial arts that do not work or you will never use. Tony is adept in a few proven-to-work self-defense fighting systems. That is all he needs. The rest of his combat will come from experience on the field which he gains plenty from.
        On their personal lives, it is clear Tony is the better man. He does not push people away and most want to be around him looking for his advise. Humans feel comfort and joy in his presence. Being more charismatic, he has better relationships with his loved ones than Bruce and better friends with those around them. This is evident with their sidekicks. And as I have said, Tony Stark is a true hero, he selflessly and altruistically decides to better mankind through his technology. Bruce does not do this. He tries to better Gotham City and fails miserably. Only his Batman persona is having an effect and even then, there are those that argue it is making Gotham worst because "Batman's" very existed is attracting the crazies to challenge themselves against him. Iron Man represents the ultimate in human ingenuity and creative spirit to the world at large.

        That's simply not true. You're pulling stuff out of thin air. You're also clearly not a comic book reader, which is completely fine, but don't pretend otherwise. All of your arguments are based on the RDJ Iron Man, not the comic book Iron Man.
        Iron Man is a better tech inventor and engineer than Bruce. This much is true. It's also his entire shtick, because Tony doesn't know or do anything else. His tech is all he has. He's NOTHING without the suit. Take away his suit, and any common thug can easily best him. This is true for both the comic and movie version.
        It's not true for Bruce. Take away his suit and all of his gadgets, and he'll still beat the shit out of any non-powered human on Earth with ease.
        Again, except for engineering applications, Bruce is a MUCH smarter man. And Bruce's suits are technologically superior to Tony's. The Insider Suit, which is Bruce's suit, is a technological wonder. Its applications and features are unparalleled. And his Justice Buster easily matches Tony's Hulkbuster, which is arguably his strongest suit.
        The thing is, Bruce doesn't "need" to invent fancy suits, because that's not what he does, nor does it interest him anyways. It's not how he chooses to fight crime. He doesn't use lethal force, so a powered suit is completely unnecessary and too dangerous. That's why you only see him use it when he's fighting high powered beings.
        So arguing that Tony is superior because he constantly invents new suits is really fallacious. That's like saying Bruce is superior because he constantly solves mysteries and riddler's mind games. Except, Tony simply doesn't care about solving murder cases. It's not his job. Doesn't mean he doesn't have the potential. It means he chooses to spend his time elsewhere.
        Similarly, Bruce doesn't care about inventing lethal armors. It's not his game. Doesn't mean he's not capable. In fact, again, he has shown that he does indeed have armors. And those armors are actually superior to the Iron Man armor anyways. So your whole argument is refuted.
        And lastly, Bruce's variety of knowledge is a billion times more impressive than Tony's.

      You may be right that comics wise Batman > Iron Man. However, cinema carries a lot of weight in shaping public perception of those superheroes, and since most of the world doesn't read the comics but does go to the theatres, Iron Man pretty much equals Batman's popularity nowadays. Just remember that no one had ever even heard of him prior to 2008. But now, even 50 years from now, he will still be recognizable by almost everyone.

        Honestly, I'm over RDJ... I don't even like his Iron Man anymore. He's become sort of an insufferable, self-righteous and arrogant douchebag. See: Civil War, AoU, etc. I honestly hope they kill him off in Avengers 4. It would best serve the character.
        As for Evans, not gonna lie, I really like his Captain America. And he's said that he wants to be Cap for as long as Marvel wants him and he means it (he's said this several times and it wasn't forced like Ben's Batman comments at comic con last year). Assuming he doesn't die, I'm sure Evans will be back in some capacity.

He’s much more of that classic selfless “always do the right thing” type of hero. And watching Captain America in action is much more exciting than watching Iron Man in action.

        Yeah Cap was fine in it. Much more likeable character. Sadly the film itself was a letdown for me overall compared to WS. Would’ve rather it not been Avengers lite and had just kept the focus on Cap/Bucky
        The mixing of light and serious tones was pretty jarring too.

        Yep, in the end I have liked Captain America more than Iron Man, both as a character and movies. Iron Man hasn't had an actual development since the first movie, he is just what the plot needs, and that was clearer in Civil War when out of the blue he started to behave like he is in the comics, but was totally the opposite of how he has been seen in the movies

        Doesn't mean I'm against having diverse casting... but when it's diverse for the sake of being diverse, how can people not see the bigotry in that?
        I love how Black Panther is a movie about an all black country and that's considered "power" and "a good message". But a Western film with an all white cast, that's racist. So sick of this double standard.
        Just let the free market decide, and the audience should just look past these stupid things. Especially American audiences.

        We're already at that point. Not just movies, but in the actual world. Affirmative action is quite literally, institutional racism and sexism. But it only disadvantages white men so no one cares. It's frightening to think about. Even US Universities segregate their classes into races and genders, with white men being put in the back of the room, and black women in front. When there are questions, women and blacks always get priorities over male and/or white students. I'm not joking, this actually happens. It's fucking sick and disgusting.
        To be clear, I don't mind Black Panther being all black and having a white villain... I just know that the opposite would never get the same praise.

        Yep, I'm a teacher and I encounter people with many different ranges of opinion, but once this topic is mentioned, oh my, I have to cut quickly because things escalate quite a lot. But last week I couldn't help but to intervine in one of the debates, because one girl was just talking crap about "men's world" and I had to give her some of her own medicine (feminazis have done a lot of harm, and there are many women who haven't realised that).
        Anyway, it's ironic (and sad) that for being a white man I'm automatically considered the "enemy", when I swear to Batman I never did anything that could be considered sexist or something like that. SMH...

        It's word because I'm in STEM, which is male dominated, and we constantly hear that "we need to have more women".
        First day of engineering class at my Uni, the (male) teachers: "We need and want more women". At my Uni, women made up around 5% of all students.
        Then, during my 2nd tech degree, all I heard was "we need more women". The chief leader of my division was a (lesbian feminist) woman. She wasn't too bad in terms of her political agenda, but she always asked for more women, and all the male teachers kind of said nothing or agreed.
        During my internships, I remember going to several companies, obviously engineering and tech related (so again, 95% male), and all they said was: we need and want more women. In fact, I think they had quota's in place.
        What I'm saying is... At every stage of my educational and professional life, I was constantly told by men that we need more women. Yet, because STEM is male dominated, I'm constantly told by feminists how oppressive we are. How sexist our work is. How patriarchal we are towards women. That we actively disadvantage them.
        Nothing couldn't be further from the truth. Most men in STEM are tripping over themselves to have more women. They are desperate for it.
        Then there's me and guys like me, who just don't give a shit and think gender is irrelevant when it comes to doing your job.
        The worst part is, so many women still live in this delusional world of female oppression. My brother studied human sciences, which was 95% female, and you guessed it, they all whined about "men being advantaged" and all of that shit. Ironically, my brother was NEVER given a platform because he was a guy and the teachers said nothing.

        I totally relate to that. I'm a language teacher, that means that in my profession, I'm the frigging minority, but no one bats an eye for that. In my workplace there are usually more female teachers AND more female students. But no one sees a problem there...
        The funny thing is that people are forgetting that biology still plays a big part in our mindset, and there works and studies that are going to appeal more to males or females because of how our brains work differently. There are more male pilots than female because the male brain is predisposed to make things like navigate, whereas there are more female teachers because their brain makes them more skillful to anything related to words and communication. We are inclined to do things as our body is set for those things, not because women or men are unwelcomed in one place.
        If only people realised that...

        Many feminists and women see your biological argument (which is scientifically true) as "sexist" (as if facts can be discriminating, lol), but just because men and women are more predisposed to certain roles and interests, doesn't mean they are "forced" to do those things. Free will is still a thing. Heck, you're proof that people, in this case men, don't "need" to conform to stereotypical male roles.
        I may have studied a "male" profession, but I never did it "because" it was male-dominated. I did it because it interests me. Nothing more to it.
        Doesn't mean women can't thrive in STEM. Heck, there was this girl back in my engineering class, and she was easily one of the smartest and most competent students of the entire class (300+ students). More power to her, as far as I'm concerned. But that doesn't negate the fact that male brains are more predisposed to higher spatial and mathematical abilities. That's the reason why STEM is male dominated, not the other way around. Evidence clearly proves this.

        I can see why you'd look at the idea of a wider representation of characters as being arbitrary or trivial. The thing is, I dont care to argue.
        Accept it or dont, I'm just tired of arguing it. I just hope they prioritize Cyborg; Jon Stewart, Jessica Cruz and Hal in Green Lantern Corp; Harley, Batwoman, Supergirl and Batgirl.
        If the DCEU is going to do a three-a-year schedule in the near future, like they said they wanted to, I'm hoping the other characters who aren't male or white get a prioritized look in.
        I guess I'm lucky that these characters, for the most part, had been announced in the past by WB themselves or are natural progressions from Justice League. Them being not male or white is just a bonus, I guess.

        After Cyborg, WW was my favorite, because she's a genuinely good person. Now according to your regressive rules of identity politics, a satanic white man like myself couldn't possibly admire or relate to non-white and non-male characters.

Lobo can wait a bit. Nightwing, Sirens, Deathstroke, and Batgirl need to be in prep mode to sprinkle in-between the bigger characters. Flash, GL, Cyborg/Titans, WW2, MoS2, and Batman need to be on the front burner.
Shazam and Aquaman rolling so smoothly is perfect right now. I think it's the right time for them audience-wise.

I will say, you do get a lot more longevity out of your movies if you do it that way. You get (assuming things go well or get better or whatever) maybe 2 or 3 movies out of each of the big heroes and main properties. Then you get multiple other movies later on out of characters like Batgirl and Nightwing and such. Theres such a rich selection of characters to pull from later on that way.

Ok, here is what I say. If WB/DC is really going to make a Joker movie that is separate from Jared's Joker (Suicide Squad) then go ahead and re-ignite Nolan's Bat-man World, and introduce Batgirl there. Honestly that would at least make more sense than having 2 Jokers in separate universes. I honestly think the average fan/movie goer would catch on, faster, that this batgirl has nothing to do with the Justice League DC Heroes, and is only a continuation of the Nolan World.

Great to hear! Now please get rid of the “possibly” in front of Green Lantern, and I’ll be a happy camper. Also, I think Deathstroke should be more of a priority in order to establish his character for the upcoming appearance of the Society/Injustice League/Legion of Doom/whatever, since it seems like we’re not getting him in a Batman movie, as was originally planned.

The Wrap ranks the 32 DC films from worst to best:
29. "Suicide Squad" (2016) Less a movie than it is a fever dream of unrelated sequences and montages that somehow end up using more than two hours of your time. Totally incomprehensible experience. And, no, the extended cut doesn't do anything that warrants improving its standing.
27. "Justice League" Warner Bros has continued to innovate in how to make bad DCEU movies, with "Justice League" managing to be terrible in a totally different way from "Batman v Superman" and "Suicide Squad."
26. "Man of Steel" (2013) Could have been worse, I guess. But it's still morally gross and has a plot that doesn't make sense. That it's very pretty to look at doesn't override those things nearly enough to make it watchable..
20. "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" (2016) A total mess that hates Superman and turns Batman into a total maniac. None of those things are good. Ben Affleck can't save the thing, but he's excellent nonetheless and gives it a huge bump it probably doesn't deserve.
15. "Batman v Superman Ultimate Edition" (2016) Giving this its own slot because it fundamentally changes the narrative of the movie and the character of Superman in the DC Extended Universe. This version is still not great (especially at three freaking hours), but it's a monumental improvement over the theatrical version.
6. "Wonder Woman" (2017) Has the standard origin movie problem of "too much story, not enough time." And the standard DC Extended Universe problem of "We gotta have a nonsensical CGI battle at the end." But despite those caveats it's an enormous delight, and a big step forward for the DCEU.

I would love at least one epic solo movie a year for a one of the main Justice League members. I would also love at least one smaller budget film with characters like Deathstroke, Batgirl, Nightwing etc. Them films would help introduce the general audience to the characters, while keeping the financial risk reasonable and also help flesh out the DCEU with world building. Then i would like at least one big budget crossover movie with multiple characters from the DCEU appearing in it to top off the year. That whats i think would be the best way to pump out 3 DC movies a year.

if i like a character, I more or less view it the same way. I am past caring what order some of these movies come in. I just want great DC movies. And they need variety so I have literally zero issue with them moving forward on projects like Lobo or Justice League Dark. It has nothing to do with "side characters" or "cor characters". They are all just characters to me and I want to seem them on the big screen one way or another because I like all of them. That being said, MoS2 DOES need to happen like yesterday

It's like I said, the DCEU needs to be in order first and there's no need for them to rush things; once the upcoming films from DC films lay the groundwork for other future DCEU films, everything will flow very smoothly just as long as there's no interference from WB.

Enough of Superman, There was three movies about him as i see BvS and JL his sequel movies because all of them are about how he is human symbol of hope and JL is so useless without him and blah bah blah....... that's one of the reason that those movies sucked so bad, I like to see movies about WW, GL, Aqu, Flash, Bat-verse, LOBO.
