Update: Now iTunes is advertising the release date as January 23rd under their "Pre-Order Today" section.

Normally there's at least a 90 day window between when a movie hits theaters and when it's available on home video, but fans of Justice League will be able to take it home much sooner.

According to iTunes, Justice League will be available on Digital HD on Tuesday, January 30th. That's just over two months after Justice League hit theaters last November. The movie struggled at the box office and was pushed out of most theaters last month, which is probably why it's coming to home video much sooner than typical blockbusters.

I should note that the Justice League Blu-ray and Digital HD release haven't been officially announced by Warner Bros. yet, so that January 30th date is subject to change. However, with iTunes being one of the top stores for digital content, I think it gives us a good idea of when we can expect to watch Justice League in the comfort of our own homes.

    This makes sense. I do hope for an extended cut sometime in the future. Not that it's gonna fix the film in any way, but I just want to see the action that was cut plus maybe Vulko and anything regarding Aquaman, Cyborg, and Steppenwolf.

      The extended cut of BvS did a great job smoothing out some of the most glaring rough edges and gave the film a much better flow, so It will be very interesting to see if WB is able to pull the trick a second time with JL (plus a much needed rework of the infamous Cavill moustache removal job).

      I would buy a Director's Cut of Justice League the very second WB offered it for sale. The regular theatrical cut... I guess it's a pass for now.

        I respectfully disagree with you on the BvS UE. Yes it did clear a large handful of plot holes and make the flow, pacing, and coherency slightly better, however considering the film still had far more problems than just those things, it did not save the film. It made it more competent, but that's about it. Plus the BvS UE is SO DAMN LONG. IMO the studio was right to cut 30 minutes from the UE for Theaters, as IMAX theaters will not play 3 hour movies. They just cut the wrong 30 minutes (though the stuff that was R-Rating material I wholeheartedly agree should have stayed cut).

        I seriously doubt a director's cut for JL will happen (they would have to add an entire budget to finish any scenes with Snyder), an extended cut hopefully will, given that Whedon had nothing to do with the mandate of the 2 hour runtime, so he probably had plenty of finished footage that was cut for time.

        Also I 100% agree with you on the Cavill mustache thing.

          I still believe that it was meant to be two movies in the beginning and they decided to make it into one. you could have made 2 decent films with that extended footage and whatever else was cut out that wasn't included. Didn't they say the first cut was right at 4 hours? They could have shown Bats infiltrating Lexcorp for instance.

        I'm with ya, I wish I could complete the Zack Snyder trilogy with purchasing JL, but unless there's a Snyder director's cut (which I don't anticipate unfortunately) I just can't get the theatrical cut right now, maybe I'll change my mind later

        There's a strange comfort in resigning to this fact: the film will be the same quality. I'm sick of the false hopes. I will not be buying till WB starts making good on their promise to deliver enjoyable super stuffs (I thought my investment in BvS would pay of in JL . . . )

      I 100% understand that the likeliness of a Zack Snyder cut being released is basically at 0, but that is the only way I would be purchasing this movie or it's related products in any capacity.

    Who cares. WB needs to announce the new head of DC film production and tell us what the hell is going to happen moving forward. It's January now so we should finally hear an official statement about Affleck leaving.

    Tell us who's in charge now and what their vision is for the future. Reboot? Soft Reboot? Ignoring the movies that didn't work and moving forward as if they never happened? What are they going to choose

      Do studios actually announce those sorts of things (via press releases), or are they just reported in the trades? I can't see them confirming that Affleck is gone, with no additional information. If/when they cast a new Batman, that announcement will cover it.

        Yes they do. They announced Jon Berg and Geoff Johns as the head of DC Films a few weeks after BvS imploded. I think the Hollywood Reporter broke it and they had an article and statements from the studio etc etc.

        Variety was given a prepared statement from Ben Affleck and WB when it was announced that he wouldn't be directing The Batman. They didn't announce a replacement until a few weeks later. So yeah expect an announcement about that and statements from Reeves, WB, Affleck and co.

        We probably won't get an announcement about Affleck until we get some information on what WB is going to do with the DCEU as presently constructed

    Did anyone actually expect this to be successful? They butcher BvS and then they let that exact same creative team do Justice League.

    Then there's the fact that it was a half ass team with two key members, one not being there at all and the second only showing up to make the rest of the team useless. Three of them were introduced through emails and only one actually got a proper build up. It was a complete joke.

      Yeah, I saw it once in 2D. Told myself I'd go back to see it in 3D the next week, and the 3D version suddenly disappeared from my theaters. And then it disappeared altogether.

      I'd like to see a home version with all the stuff I saw in the trailers. I felt so rushed sitting in the theater, like I was watching a highlights reel or something.

          You're right. I would have gone a second time with some friends (I went solo to a matinee the first time) but my panicky theater chain pulled it.

          I've worked around business types (suits) my whole life, and they're so focused on immediate profit they often lose profit. In other words, morons.

    Not surprising. They are pushing this out as fast as possible and I'm sure WB is ready to turn the page on this chapter of the DC universe. Pretty much disregard anything but WW and kick start a new phase of the DC universe. I really have high hopes moving forward, now that ZS won't be ruining anything else.

    Unless there’s an extended cut or some good deleted scenes in there, I probably won’t be buying this on Blu-ray. Justice League, to me, was a fun movie to have a good time with at the theater, but it’s not worth actually buying on home media. Such a shame what this movie went through.

    It was destined to not being able to live up to its hype. How do you expect a great return from the product when you don't honor the people who worked on it? Zack already had a vision for it. All they had to do was to carry on with it. But WB execs, being greedy a***s, called for reshoots to add forced humor. For an ensemble movie, introducing new characters, one would definitely expect it to be nearly 2:30 long. They butchered it under 2 hours.
    Now, we better get Snyder cut or some deleted scenes that didn't make it to the final product but I don't see that happening when Digital's coming just after 2 months.

    WB just wants to get it over with.

    That Korean HD leak pretty much forced their hand to get this out ASAP or else they'd lose even more money than they've lost already.

    This pretty much also seals the deal that we'll never get a Zack Snyder Cut in this or any foreseeable future.

    At least the fan edits will likely be good.

    Not that the film wouldn’t be any different but I think that Hans or Junkies theme with Larry Fong behind the lens would’ve made this movie iconic in soundtrack and imagery

    Truly a shame what they did with this movie. I still have hope that they hear people out and give us an extended cut (less hopeful about the Snyder's one right now, unfortunately). At the very least they could give us the cut scenes everybody knows are complete!

    Damn! How could they butch this movie so much? If only the hadn't alienated the fandom they already had...

    The trident the ancient king is holding was talked about in the original cut and it was explained why Momoa's Aquaman couldn't take it at that moment, hence why he is seen with another type of weapon

      For some of thoses images maybe, but if you look closely, you see'll the mustache hider on Henry's upper lip in the first photo (it's a reshoot scene).

    JL was rushed & no cut can save it. I think everyone should forget it & DC better makes a lot of great solo movies & develop their characters & make their universe grow based on a road-map that ends to a great & different team up movies.
