Zack Snyder fans are faking petition signatures for a 'Justice League' cut that probably won't happen

Zack Snyder fans are a passionate bunch. Unhappy with the cut of Justice League that was released in theaters, a petition was started asking that Warner Bros. release Zack Snyder's original cut, before Joss Whedon's scenes were added to the movie. The petition is closing in on 150,000 signatures, but there's just one problem: some of them have been faked.

Movie critic John Campea sent out a tweet tonight of an email he received from Change.org, thanking him for signing the Zack Snyder Justice League petition. But Campea says he never signed it. He said he spoke to several people who had this happen to them as well. It sounds like Snyder fans are using any email address they can think of to boost the number of signatures for the petition.

As someone who really liked Batman v Superman, I think I would've loved Zack Snyder's cut of Justice League (I liked the theatrical release, but it's my least favorite DC Films movie so far). However, it's very unlikely that Warner Bros. is going to release a brand new cut of the movie on Blu-ray. Here's why:

Warner Bros. didn't like Zack Snyder's cut. According to the Wall Street Journal, WB wasn't satisfied with Snyder's cut and that's why they brought in Joss Whedon to rewrite the script.
Zack Snyder's cut wasn't anywhere near a finished product. Snyder screened his cut for WB around January, 10 months before the November release date. Things like special effects are worked on up until a few weeks before a movie's release for big blockbusters like Justice League.
Warner Bros. is going to lose a lot of money on Justice League. It was the most expensive movie in the DC Films Universe, and it's looking like it's going to be one of the lowest grossing at the box office. WB isn't going to spend millions of dollars on a movie that's already losing them millions of dollars.

There's no way of knowing just how many of the near 150,000 signatures have been faked, but I will admit, I was shocked to see this petition hit numbers that high. I'm not surprised to learn that they're not all genuine.

Update: 11/30: Change.org has removed about 2,500 fake signatures from the petition.

This is all crazy.... I really hoped this movie was up there with the critics and made at least 160 + million but I guess that will never be the case. I really think this was Snyder’s last film. I love this movie it’s literallt up there with MOS and WW and even BvS In my opinion. I guess now we wait for Aquaman and Shazam now ... still waiting on that Superman solo sequel and by the time JL 2 roles around or if it does I’ll proably be 25 years old or even older... I’m 21 now

The main thing I feel bad for is the actors. They're great in their roles, it's just that they're put into shitty films like BVS and SS, which taints their reputation. But I'd argue that WW shows us that the ship can be turned around. She was in BVS, which most moviegoers disliked (just look at the cinema score).       I disagree, both Wonder Woman and Man of Steel is Beyond Awesome. Justice League was OK (It could do better with an extended 3-4 hour cut), BVS UE was a masterpiece (BVS Standard was OK). I agree with you on the last one though, Suicide Squad was pure garbage...That being said I can't wait for My Man Aquaman...

This is the first DC movie that I genuinely didn't want to watch because WB messed up again for the 3rd time (a 2hr Justice League movie, ugh).
I will always have fond memories of Zack Snyders work on the DCEU. His visuals were breathtaking and in my opinion he was an awesome director. Man of Steel was the movie that got me interested in Superman as a character and BVS was the first superhero movie where I genuinely cried.
I hope he works on Star Wars. Imagine, Star Wars with Zack Snyder Visuals and choreography.

  People have been floating the Snyder Star Wars idea around since he left Justice League, and honestly I think that would kick so much ass.
  He's clearly a fan, has meme'd back and forth with J.J. Abrams, etc.
  The "Seven Samurai" Jedi movie (which was an April Fools announcement a little while back) would be amazing for him, and I also think he would deliver a powerful, memorable Boba Fett movie. :)

Not really man. If only those 150000 people (Campea included, because that fucker just wants to undermine this) bought a copy for a mere 40$ it would be 600000 just like that. And there's many many more fans which would buy such a great version of the movie. The box office number are talking by themselves, nobody wants to see his shitty movie and everybody heard that the will probably be a good version on home release so everybody's just waiting for that (In addition to that, some people aren't rich so they have to decide if they wanna see the movie in theater or just save the $ and buy a DVD) - I barely buy any movies but I own all DCEU movies on Blu-Rays, but would never ever buy this stupid justice League film that we got in the cinemas. The worst. Horseshit. Ever. I'll gladly spend a $100 on a Zack's cut though.

      It was about 7 months and the principal photography was finished. By then WB was already meddling with Zack's vision, that's why Johns called in Whedon because they needed some comedic scenes inserted. So yeah, I'd rather watch Zack's version with unfinished VFX then ever having to see that trash we got in theaters again.

      The theatrical version wasn't almost finished...that's the point, we want to see the movie before they started editing it, reshooting it. People who've worked on the film such as the cinematographer have supported releasing a directors cut, I don't think he would come out and say that if one he didn't think it'd be a better film, and two it wasn't a possibility.

In this case there’s less than 1% chance WB would move forward with Zacks version. Only the desperate dreams of those who enjoyed MOS and BvS UE will continue to hope. I would have paid to see it and that’s the only thing that I can know with 100% certainty. Oh well, we’re on to Aquaman and hoping for a Dawn that will actually deliver the caliber worthy of these great characters.

The only way the cut could be made if the crew accepts a huge pay cut. This would have to be like how most of the cast and crew of The Walking Dead were willing to work for less money in season 1 only because they love working with Frank Darabont. I don't see that happening with a blockbuster film.

Honestly, as much as I wanna see the DCEU continue and fix its' missteps - WB is most likely going to trash everything and go back to the drawing board. Artistic merit and faithfulness to tone or original concepts mean nothing to these executives. Two words: Money Talks; and if it aint talkin, the current DCEU is walkin... That sucks...

I really feel WB need to just take a step back and now concentrate on solo films. get the batman done, cyborg, flashpoint, aquaman, wonderwoman 2, get flash point done as the last one and reset the timeline to where they all meet first time again, I think thats the only way back.

  I was so close to liking your comment, they should definitely focus on solo movies for the next five years (with some cross overs and cameos) but I definitely don't want them to undo the previous movies in the DCEU so that I can never go back and watch them because now the timeline is reset and none of it ever actually happened. Lots and lots of people have complained about them abandoning Hans Zimmer's/Junkie XL's score, it's one of the selling points of the petition this article is about, and there's entire YouTube videos devoted to showing the difference between Snyder's and Whedons color and contrast styles, look at Supermans suit for God's sake, all of that red sky stuff, everybody was talking about how Whedon "brightened the film up" whether they believe it to be for the better or the worse. I thought JL was ok in a vacuum, but I don't think it looked sounded or felt anything like the previous movies in the DCEU, it didn't even look like WW.

Cavill smiling like crazy just doesn't look appealing and without Zack, they obviously couldn't even figure out how to compose a shot so that we wouldn't see those highlights on Superman's costume.   The difference is that the movies you name aren't "tentpole films", they don't cost the same to make and they aren't expected to bring in the same amount of money. Different kinds of movies are made for different reasons, movies that are made with awards season in mind are going to be given a lot more artistic liberties. The DCEU was created for Disney/Marvel money and anything less is considered a failure no matter what. So sure they let some directors make their movies, it just depends. Also directors can get all kinds of things put directly in their contract, for instance Matt Reeves has 100% creative control stipulated in his contract for the upcoming batman film, so they won't be interfering with that project either. As for WW I don't believe what you're saying, sorry I've read numerous articles saying that there was studio interference as well as interviews quoting Patty Jenkins herself were she said that the studio didn't want the scene and she had to negotiate to keep it. There were also all of the reports were WB's was freaking out ahead of release calling it a "disjointed mess". They screwed SS up big time as well nobody debates that and David Ayer is a pretty good film maker as well, so why didn't they let him make his movie? They are interfering with these movies and I'm sure others, but I would never say they interfere with 100% of movies, there's whole different departments and studios within the WB umbrella, so they all aren't going to be the same, I mean I'm pretty sure Afflecks experience directing Argo would have been just a tad bit different then if he had stayed on to direct the Batman.

    I already read that bit about Jenkins saying it was her people that didn't like no man's land...and I don't believe it, it sounds like revisionist history to me, she gives interviews saying WB interfered, credible sources quote her, then the studio she works for makes a complaint and her story changes, it happens all of the time. I would agree that they meddled with WW less than other movies in the DCEU....which is what this is about so I'm not going to argue how much studio interference there is in every WB's movie although you list fury road and I know that movie was in development hell for a very long time, and beside that you list gravity (which I think is garbage) and three more Nolan movies, so it's very obvious that you're a huge Nolan fan (so am I) as to make your point you bring up 8 movies, 6 of which are Nolan films, so yes WB's trusts Nolan. Also I love the fact that people point to superman killing Zod as proof that this version of superman is "dark", Christopher Reeves killed a depowered Zod in Superman II and nobody cared, at least in MoS he has little choice, in Superman II he could have taken him to jail or anything else he chose to do but he decided he'd rather throw him into an abyss, after crushing every bone in his hand first (there's popping and crunching sound effects and everything). Anyway your Nolan argument is pointless because the biggest problem with WB's (in the DCEU ONCE AGAIN) is that they have been completely reactionary, Iron man comes along so they try to Get their universe off the ground by making Green Lantern, only problem is they tried to make it about a brash cocky earthbound hero just luck Tony Stark, and you can see that was their effort at making a Marvel movie, it failed so then they said ok well people liked Nolans dark realistic gritty interpretation how about we do that with Superman, so they get Nolan to produce he hires Snyder and they make MoS, MoS was actually pretty good and has some of the best scores for a DCEU film, problem is by this point Avengers is hitting the theaters so WB sees that money and says oh snap we need to get in on that team up big money, so they react, scrap MoS II (which Snyder was already working on) and decide we're going to put Batman and Wonder Woman in the next film...and you know what the trinity isn't enough let's through in cameos and the abbreviated back stories of the rest of the league while we're at it, so they make BvS, and you know what? The suits loved it, they famously gave it a standing ovation and thought it was sure to make more than a billion dollars. Problem is (even though it turned a profit) it didn't make Avengers money and critics didn't like it and people said that it was too dark, so what do they do? They panic and go to SS (which should be dark because after all "we're the bad guys") and try to make it as much like GoTG as they can by doing reshoots, adding jokes, bad effects, and a "cool rock soundtrack", that didn't work so then WW comes along. WW is mostly unaffected I believe probably because the suits didn't know what to do at that point so they let it ride, people liked that so between WW's success and BvS's thrashing they decide to cut JL to pieces and make a new way to expensive to succeed movie that fans of the Zack Snyder movies don't love and isn't going to really bring anyone new to the table either. It's been one over reaction after the next. At least Snyder had a plan, he had a vision, that is better than just reacting with no sound plan any day.

      Well I disagree, but now I feel as though we're just repeating ourselves. I still feel that the DCEU is unprecedented in its scope and studio desire to make not millions but billions off of it, putting on a different level of what's successful, if Nolan made Batman begins today the profits may not be enough in the studios eyes to warrant a sequel, since the MCU got into full swing the bar has raised. That's why I still feel the other films you mention are apples to oranges, they came before a cinematic universe was a thing, and they weren't expected to make billions. MoS and BvS definitely feel more Snyder, but that doesn't change the fact that he was dictated to a lot, suicide squad being changed a lot is a fact. Just go back and look at the tone of the 1st trailer. Anyway you can have the last word on this if you want because as I said I feel that we're just going around and around at this point not really covering new ground, you believe WB let's directors make their films (not sure how you could know that without interviewing countless directors, and even then they may say what's PC instead of spreaking their mind) and I don't think WB always does, especially on their tentpole films. Even Tim Burton and Michael Keaton dropped out back in the day because they didn't like were the studio was taking it (trying to sell more toys) Donner's superman was the definitive superhero movie for a decade before anything else came along to challenge it, but that didn't stop them from taking control away from Donner in Superman II, how long did it take until we got to see his cut patched back together? And you know what it was so much better, but obviously some studio guy didn't think so. I don't care what you say, you aren't going to convince me WB's has a history of this, that being said they've also made many of my favorite movies. And other studios do this as well just ask the three directors of the two Star Wars Story movies, or Josh Trank on Fantastic 4. My closing statement, once again I just feel WB's has been entirely too reactionary instead of having the fortitude to make and stick with a plan, with slight coarse corrections when necessary.   Yeah there’s a lot I liked about both MOS and BVS. I think Zack has had a great vision for the universe, but he falls short in certain areas. He has great ideas for stories, but tends to struggle with the plot. I think the LDN_Film guy said there was a problem in Zack’s JL cut with Flash stood around not doing much in fight sequences which I can well believe because BVS has that problem cutting between characters like they’ve been stood around doing nothing.

      Its an entertaining film for a watch here and there but it was no where near what it should have been. But I dont feel that thats down the any ones fault but warner. Its not Whedons fault, he came into the middle of a project because the current director had to leave due to understandable family reasons. But even If Zack didnt leave I dont think it would have been great.
      For me Warner have ruined it by rushing as quick as they can do the JL film and not take time to build up to it and go for solo films first.

I don’t give a fuck if WB is losing money , they have billions , the least they can do is give the fans the movie they have wanted for the last 2 fucking years. And WB losing money and getting shit reviews again is squarely on them for butchering and micro managing a movie that could of been the best DCEU movie ever.   That's were you're wrong, I feel that they marketed and sold me a different movie than what I got, to me that's the definition of false advertising. And tell me this if they thought all of those scenes weren't good enough for the movie then why did the marketing team decide to comprise the trailers (the commercial designed to get people excited to see the film) solely from deleted material? I mean it seems strange that these scenes will get people most excited to see the movie, but let's change all of them in the actual movie. Half of them aren't in the movie at all and some of them are but they say different (less cool "I didn't bring a sword" things). I bought a ticket based on scenes and dialogue that wasn't in the movie, I'd say that constitutes false advertisement and they do owe me more.

      Man having read through these comments you really like to argue with anybody and everybody don't you? Badly too might I add. Well ok I'll give you what you want. Just going off the most recent trailer which came out a month before the movie you have the beginning starts with the MoS theme (one of my favorites) no where in the film, Clark then says I'll take that as a yes (talking about the ring and presumed proposal), not in the film. Then the windows exploding from whatever that building was in the WW scene (still not exactly sure what it is..museum? Bank? Government building? I have no idea) and its not in the film, Bruce talking about his dream where it's the end of the world...I don't think it's in the film, but not 100% on that one. He says I think it's something more something darker.. I thought hinting at Darkseid, Bruce says divided we are not enough, not in the film (he does say we're not enough but an an aggressive different tone) Then it shows Bruce looking at the superman hologram, not in the film, then there's the scene of the flash running cutting from side to side back and forth, not in the film, and that's from the last trailer before the movie going further back it's worse. And yes scenes like he said more more or more less...he said no, did make me more interested, the part where Batman jumps in the Knightcrawler and says "my turn" was bad ass, instead we get "I didn't bring a sword", Steppenwolf's there are no protectors here speech cool, not in the movie, Diana "don't do this alone we do this together" not in the movie, Cyborg to Batman "I thought you didn't exist" "I exist when I have to", the Flash dodging Parademon fire then throwing him through a door, not in the movie, Barry breaking the glass looked cool didn't get it, Cyborgs battle mode armor looked cool, Cyborg bursting through the clouds and going in front of the moon looked cool, but it wasn't in the movie, Cyborg cutting a thrown tank in half saving a cop and saying "you should probably move" not there, Victor Stone in his football gear as well as his letterman jacket, not included, WW drops in with Aquaman and Cyborg behind her and says "shall we", in the movie she drops in by herself and then says "is this what conquering is hiding from a fight" not as cool, Aquaman spiking 3 parademons turned into one, less cool, people anxiously debated who Alfred was talking to, could it be a Lantern? Could it be Shazam? could it be Supergirl? Martian Manhunter? Gaining excitement for the movie, but it turns out it didn't matter because it wasn't in the movie. And then there's the stuff they added like the stupid red sky and dumb little purple things growing in the ground.There is so much that was in the trailers that wasn't in the movie, sooooooo much, if those are the scenes that are supposed to get people excited to see the movie how can they not be good enough to be in the film? All of those things?!? And that's just the trailers forget the other marketing material and WB's repeated statements that this was going to be Zack Snyder's movie and that Joss Whedon was only coming in to "complete Zacks vision" my ass!!! He was brought in to overhaul and change the movie completely which they completely lied about. So yeah I'd say that there was some false advertising and I feel that WB does owe us the fans the movie they promoted and told us we were buying.

      Totally agree. One of the scenes from the trailer i got hyped for was alfred standing over the car saying "he said youd come" and surprise surprise it wasnt in the film! We had this in suicide squad too, its very annoying selling me a trailer and getting me interested in certain scenes that are not even in the film. There should be some sort of law to say whatever you have in a trailer must stay in the film. Its the same with any other product you buy right? Movie studios are so against anyone in the public bending the rules to watch a film for free but then they are happy to bend the rules their selves to make you pay to watch.
      I dont blame anyone but the studio for this. Im sure the directors intended to have the trailer footage but it got cut because the studio wanted to cut the run time. As I'm writing this I am starting to realise DCU will never be as good as it could be while Warner are involved. :(

      Yeah after the fact I actually edited my original comment and put even more things in from the other trailers and I put a big part about the who is Alfred talking to conversation got people pumped but wasn't in the film. The thing I really don't get is a lot of the stuff doesn't change anything or shorten the runtime at all, it's just inferior. Like Bat man saying I didn't bring a sword is actually longer than my turn, but doesn't sound as cool, Aquaman throwing his pentadent through 1 Parademon isn't as cool as throwing it through 3. It just doesn't make sense!!!

At this point WB have turned a lot people off to the DCEU including myself. I don’t have the same level of excitement that I had Justice League was the last straw for me. They fucked Suicide Squad and now Justice League. At least BvS had the directors cut. I don’t even care anymore, if Justice League is what I can expect out of future DC movies then WB can fuck off and I hope they lose even more money. Marvel has a formula that works for them and they planned it out carefully, can’t blame them for being successful and I don’t I actully enjoy their movies. But Marvel movies are all style and no substance. DC movies gave me something more then just mindless entertainment, it gave me things to really think about and appreciate. I don’t know where WB thought that disregarding every aspect of MoS and BvS that we’re great was a good idea. JL is too little too late and as CBM in 2017 is a step backwards. Avengers did it already and better. This shit just pisses me off man ughhhhhh

Hey buddy, very nicely said. I had the same feeling after seeing that disaster in the cinema (I actually shed a couple tears during the first three scenes, seeing how my characters and Zack's art got destroyed). I felt totally betrayed and hurt and if all the movies were gonna be like this is never see another again, because I'd isn't waste my money on Marvel movies anymore. There is no takeaway from their movies and that's exactly how I felt about Justice League. Zero takeaway. I thought at least I won't have to come to this page anymore and deal with all these trolls and haters. But then I found out about the petition and I saw a beacon of hope. So I chimed in as much as I could. But you see even that they want to take from us. I believe we will get the true cut, just because of how much love Snyder has for his movies AND for his fans. He will do it for us. Anyways, at this point I'm just very appreciative that we have MoS, BvS and to some extent SS (SS, in my opinion, is like a picture your kid draws for you, it may be ugly but you're still gonna love and post it on your fridge). If you'd be interested in som more in-depth analyses of these movies is really like to share one podcast with you that I think you might be very interested in. Many people said Lex had no motivations, so I started with the episode called 'Understanding Lex Luthor' http://www.manofsteelanswers.c...- aaand I was hooked. From that I went to the episode 'A Beautiful Truth' because I wasn't clear on the meaning of Bruce's narration in the beginning about a beautiful lie. Beautiful explanation, like honey to my ears, I'm sure you'll be as excited as I was. http://www.manofsteelanswers.c...Then I listened to the episode about the spear (Kryptonite Spear). You wouldn't believe how much can be concluded from the scene of Lex explaining why he wants to bring the "mineral" in the States and how many reasons there are for Batman creating a spear specifically and not Kryptonite bullets, arrows etc. http://www.manofsteelanswers.c.... And then you just find what you're interested in, for example the Tornado scene was very controversial. Why did Pa Kent have to die? Why in tornado and no heart attack or something similar? Why did they go under the overpass when it's so much more dangerous - so many people were so smart about this one for example, but they forgot the fact that the scene was happening in around 1996 (considering Clark was 16 at that point) and back then it was in fact recommended to hide under overpass in case of tornado.... He actually made 3 episodes about this short but very influential scene. Of course it is on iTunes ! :) Enjoy, have a nice day and listening.

I really did believe that this petition could make a difference. More people are talking about what Zack Snyder was working on with this film, and the things changed and substituted in it, than the actual film itself. That truly says something.

I signed.

I shared with Dozens and Dozens of friends who felt the same way. And they signed.
No one can demand anything. No one is Owed anything. We are merely hoping that this Major Studio hear our voice and consider investing that little more to let Zack come back and Finish what he almost completed.

Warner Bros. was not happy with his cut because they thought that it wasnt what "people" wanted. Not because they didn't like it. Don't forget this is the exact same studio that gave Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice a "Standing Ovation".

I've met countless others online & in person, and spoken with so many like minded people who have signed, and are themselves promoting to get the word out on this petition, to have those unaware, and who feel similarly, sign. Which has helped our numbers grow.

John Campea has a Daily podcast in which he advertises his email adress 5 days a week. It is so clear that some fan of the petition used his address to make a fake signature in an attempt to "troll" him. We've seen the same done earlier this year with Mila Kunis and Vice President Mike Pence.

This claim can discredit the genuine gathering of tens of thousands of true fans creating one collective voicing of their disappointment with the product that is in theatres now, and their desire for Zack Snyder's vision to be completed. And by titling this article as you have, you are perpetuating this theory of what has happened here, and hurting a real movement of fans.

I read and check for new articles everyday. And I recommend your site to every DC fan I meet and know. Reading this hurt me. As I only read John Campea's post earlier in the evening, with the same reaction that I am expressing to you now. Then to come here, and to see my favorite news site, that has always had a firm stance on not reporting groundless rumors, reporting a groundless rumor that's detrimental to a cause so dear to so many right now: A chance for the every reactionary Warner Bros., to maybe react to something that would actually please a lot of people and make them money in time, by releasing what many believe to be a greatly stronger film, based upon their opinions of Zack's previous works.

It hurts.

Please, I urge you, to retitle this article, or to reconsider your stance of so easily disregarding these unified voices. And know that there are thousands and thousands of true fans, like myself, out there. Hoping. And investing that hope into this petition. A real hope. Real voices. REAL SIGNATURES. And to not let a small handful of isolated incidents hurt this cause so violently. If Warner Bros. reads this... they'll doubt and disregard everything. And unjustly so.

      Zack is NOT trying to make movies about some superheros just fighting. He is giving us a perspective of what it would be to have a world with super powerful beings (if it would happen in real life).
      He got a lot of criticism in his first two movies coz they weren't humourous enough. Well, he's not doing a Marvel movie.
      And before you say: Oh, we loved the Dark Knight trio and it was dark.
      No! This is darker, grimmer, gloomy and sometimes actually depressing.
      It's like the Godfather of depression.
      If MoS and BvS were out before people get attached so much to the way Marvel do things, how fun, crazy and even silly sometimes their movies are we wouldn't have been having this argument.
      (Spoiler: Thor Ragnarok) Although I know you are all fans and saw it ;)
      In Thor: Ragnarok, Odin dies and Asgard is collapsing under the rise of Hela, BUT it doesn't actually SHOW emotionally. We don't see it. We see Thor has become funnier and make more jokes than any other movie. His Father And King Just Died. Who writes this aweful character arcs.
      In Civil War there is like a ton plot holes that no one mentiones.. coz they had a great time laughing and watching a lot of crashing and fighting.
      But I believe it will come to ppl with time.
      The world once believed the earth was flat. They even called the one person who said it wasn't - a heretic. When they did believe him, they had already killed him.
      Please, don't kill ZS, he's a great movie maker and a storyteller.

      Gonna be real: I loved the use of slow-mo in Wonder Woman. Some of the most satisfying parts of the movie to me were those shots - and same with 300 and Watchmen. It just freezes the moment like a comic book panel, and what's happening becomes powerful and iconic in such a simple yet dramatic way. The heroes feel more heroic for it.
      Guilty pleasure, I guess?
      I mean, I don't feel guilty about it, but people seem to think I should. ;P
      If anything, I'd like more slow-mo moments with Superman.

      Yeah I don't see why people bash slo-mo it looks cool, same for CGI, like how are you going to make a big fantasy action movie in 2017 without it? Now the Matrix bullet time thing...that was over done for a while, but that's not what we're talking about here.

  i honestly don't really see how his original vision for this film could really be worse than what we got. While I liked the movie a fair bit, most of the stuff i did NOT like was stuff that I believe were the product of reshoots. The occasionally forced humor(mostly with Batman and some stuff with Flash) and weird dialogue being the main thing. "You smell good". Seriously wtf was that? I can't imagine Chris terrio writing that. Also the occasionally obvious green screen like the Aquaman scene and when they were at the Kent farm. And of course the Superman's upper lip. Plus there are clearly tons of scenes that were cut out(not because of Joss but because of the two hour time limit) and I really don't think most of those scenes would have detracted from the overall experience. Most of it would have helped develop the characters more. Thats a good thing I would say. The problem with the supposed "Snyder cut", is that it sounds like certain aspects of the film would be fundamentally changed to fit the original vision. This was supposed to be part one of a two part story with Wolf acting as a sort of segue into Darkseid for JL2. It seems there was a lot of stuff that was cut in order to keep this a more contained one off story due to the studio's change in plans. It wouldn't really make sense to add some of that stuff back in

    I don't know who's line it was but I didn't like the WW line from the beginning, the dude says "what are you" and I thought it was a call back to Danny Huston in WW and she was going to say "you'll soon find out" or a play off of that, but them she says "a believer" it just sounded like it was put in there too try to sound cool and hopeful, but just sounded dumb to me. And as for the whole farm scene why wouldn't Lois say something like I really missed the way you smell? And that would have meant more if we had seen her smelling one of his shirts earlier in the film during the scene where she wakes up and he's gone and she's supposed to be missing him.

  It's the difference between getting a two hour long studio cut t.v. pilot and getting a complete film by zack snyder. the latter happens to just be slightly preferable to the former.

  it's sorta like lost cost fallacy tho, it's like you're two thirds through a not that great movie, and you wanna see if the last third can honestly justify what came before, and then all of a sudden the last third of the movie ends up being a tv pilot with 1990s production quality that has little to do with the preceding film.

Bravo! Very well said, I appreciate that you found the courage to share your opinion. It really hurts what happens with this movie and to see our website, our home for Batman fans, trying to purposely hurt the cause, hurts even more. Thanks again.

It does seems rather pessimistic and counter-productive for a Batman fan site to throw shade at a fan petition aimed towards bringing us a different version of JL. It can be frustrating though. JL just came out 2 weeks ago and within days people were petitioning for the release of a different cut of the film. It's disappointing that these movies are so troubled and they just can't get it right!
