Jared Leto is back in his Joker costume, but is it for 'Suicide Squad' or 'Justice League'?

June 2, 2016

Jared Leto just gave fans a new look at himself in his Joker costume, complete with some very Joker-ish socks and shoes. He posted the photos to Snapchat, but then shared them on Twitter, where they won't disappear after 24 hours. "As sick as your secrets" he wrote on one of the photos.

We know that Suicide Squad reshoots took place in April, could they still be happening this late in the game? The movie is due out in 2 months! Another possibility... what if Leto is in London right now for Justice League? I suppose Leto could just be sharing old photos, though Snapchat is usually about what's happening now.

Update: Last night Leto was in Miami, so I doubt hes on the set of Justice League in London 24 hours later. Maybe he's just doing some kind of promotional shoot for Suicide Squad?

HELLO MIAMI! Long time no see xo

What do you think this means? Last minute Suicide Squad reshoots, a Justice League cameo, or something else? Let me know in the comments below, and I'll do some more digging.

Justice League, Suicide Squad

Jared Leto

Leto probably likes hanging out in joker outfit. So probably it's nothing.

He had longer hair 2 weeks ago when he was on TV.If he's seen in real life with the same hairstyle as the Joker, then it's something. If not, then maybe these are older photos he took and posted them now.

Haha this is great. I don't hate the tattoos at all but my theory of them jumping into the acid in the trailer and coming out with a fresh coat of white paint is out the window.
Never mind it says he's in Miami now. Maybe Harley's hair dye is coming out and it's returning to all blonde. Leto has blonde hair in the early pics, maybe this joker dyes his hair too and we wouldn't notice in the green acid.

If Leto is painted up for Justice League (in addition to the rumor of Eisenberg being in it as well), they just won back some major hype points!

Does anybody know where Leto is now? I mean is he touring with his band or anything like that?

I would love if it's some sort of viral marketing or promotional material he's getting ready for.

It's probably that. Using the Joker as viral marketing is a brilliant idea.

He is in Miami. Unless he's shooting for a very small thing for Justice League, he's doing a viral video or something for SDCC https://twitter.com/JaredLe...

Flying out of Miama to England is quite popular, 22 hours passed since then too.

It could be, but you can't upload old pics from inside the Snapchat app. You have to go through a bit of trouble to do it.

Well snapchat I don't think you can post old photos, only ones you just took. So I'd rule out that they're old. Could be a promotional thing.

My city has an outdoor music festival every summer. A few years ago, a performer flew in from Portland, Oregon, did a 20 minute set, then flew back to her next stop in Seattle.
I'm in Maine.
So, Miami one day and in costume the next (although they could have been doing a makeup / lighting test and not having him in front of cameras yet) is definitely possible.

True, although I just checked (because searching the Internet is fun :) and there were flights that could have gotten him from Miami to LGW in the time between his Tweets last night and this morning. :)

gotta say I am kind of hoping it is for Justice League. This and the Knightmare sequence with the Flash and BvS seem to hinting at some crazy mix between Injustice and Darkseid. They need to do something pretty crazy if they want to compete with Infinity War.

Nah. They tried to start big and strong with Batman v Superman and they got trashed. I enjoyed it, but it was too big and lost some focus.
Making a solid movie is all that matters. Trying to compete with the monster that will be Infinity War would end badly.
A good movie is a good movie. Positive word of mouth is what they need.
If Justice League turns out to be a much smaller scaled movie than Avengers, I think people will understand why.

When he posted it, it was too early to be that dark outside in America. He posted it 22 hours after his Miami tweet. Pretty easy for him to be in England when he posted them.

The SS re-shoots were scheduled well in advance and the film is done now. We may thus get a cool opening scene for JL, to bring back the SS fans along for the right. Bruce is the protagonist and Gordon will have a small role after all. I expect a flashback as we still have 20 years to cover and Bafleck´s scene in SS appears to be set in the past too. Finally, a good week for DC films.

It would make sense he is though. Why wouldn't the Joker not do anything when the Justice League fights a common threat? Hell, if we're getting more Knightmare-esque scenes, I can totally picture the Joker ruling a post-apocalyptic city.
