Call your girlfriend and tell her your Valentine's Day plans have changed. Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill will be appearing on the NBA All-Star game tonight, February 14, to promote Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice! The official social media channels made the announcement last night.

Tune in at 7pm EST on TNT to see what the stars have in store. My guess is that they'll show the new trailer that just premiered a few days ago, but I'd love to be wrong and have them show an entirely new clip instead. Keep it locked to Batman News for more on whatever Affleck and Cavill have to say tonight.

    Imagine Affleck *ahem* Bruce Wayne shows up as Batman and Clark shows up as Superman and they're just about to hit each other aaaaand...You wake up, cause thats obviously not gonna happen. But I hope they show the final trailer and we see everyone's reactions...Or what I said before, that would be cool too....lol

    Pretty sure we won't see any new footage given we've gotten now 4 total trailers and countless TV spots. I could absolutely be wrong, and they could show a Superman heavy clip. I'm pretty settled on what we've gotten, and I'm completely okay if they don't show us anything else.

    It seems like McWeenygate is starting to settle down. If you search 'Batman v Superman', you have to really search for that sourceless pile of monkey crap report that WB is worried about BvS. I just want this movie to come out already. It's weathered so many ups and downs over the last 2 1/2 years and now Wonder Woman is getting opening date competition.

    I still feel like if WB was worried, they would not have had the CW show hyping their universe (kudos to whoever pointed this out first). I think that is your biggest piece of evidence that everything is going as planned.

    Shame on all of the websites that picked that story and ran with it. All for clicks.

      "McWeeygate". LOL Yeah obviously WB needs and expects a Batman-led movie to hit the 1 billion dollar mark at the box-office. Especially since films like Jupiter Ascending, Pan, and Heart of the Sea, have recently lost WB hundreds of millions of dollars.

        Agreed. Jupiter Ascending is one of the worst films I've ever seen (in the top 20). I didn't see Pan (cause of the bad reviews and the fact that it bombed), and In the Heart of the Sea was... eh.

      Agreed on all of this. Plus, even if Batman v Superman turns out to be bad (which is close to impossible now that I think about it), it still won't affect Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, OR Justice League Part One. Those will be well into production when the film comes out. By the way, I still meet people who think the CW shows should be merged with the DCEU (facepalm). As for the WW/Transformers release date, I wouldn't really call it "competition" as much as a "conflicting release date from a movie that's probably going to bomb anyway" (seriously, is there anyone at all looking forward to transformers 5?).

    I like it. Keep hitting the haters in the face, with this movie. Especially since there was actually a theater that had the Suicide Squad trailer attached to the Deadpool movie, INSTEAD OF the new BvS trailer! WTF?!

      I saw Deadpool at a pretty nice, reclining seats AMC theater in the suburbs outside of Philadelphia and they showed the Suicide Squad trailer, but no BVS trailer at all.

    Honestly, I can’t call BS on this report as I know – based on the folks I’ve talked to who have knowledge of the situation – that Warner Bros. is indeed concerned about how BvS will be received by audiences; and thus, how it will perform at the box office. Personally, I think the right term to use is “nervous” as opposed to “worried”. With so much riding on BvS, it’s only natural for the studio to be nervous. I can also say that I know some people who have seen the film and they raved about it – which apparently is the opposite of what Mr. McWeeny has heard based on his comments in the video. Keep in mind that while BvS is a comic book-based film with superheroes, it isn’t “popcorn fluff”, if you will. Maybe Warner is nervous how the mainstream audience will react to such a film that’s frankly diametrically different from what Marvel (as it should be) is doing with their cinematic universe. If that’s the case, I’d tell ‘em to chill and remind them of the success they had with Christopher Nolan’s “Dark Knight Trilogy” – which BvS director Zack Snyder says laid the foundation for the DCEU.

    Those three Batman films did pretty damn well and were definitely NOT "popcorn fluff". SO...

    R-E-L-A-X...relax.

    I cannot believe that haters, trolls, pessimists, whatever you may call them, have actually been successful in making US feel uncertain about the box office results of a film containing two of the greatest comic book characters of ALL time; who will be sharing the silver screen for the very FIRST TIME IN 75+ YEARS. Oh and also this movie will feature the on screen debut of the most popular, renowned and beloved female superhero of all time. How the trolls have caused us to feel nervous about the movie's box office potential will always be BEYOND ME.

      I've never seen such a concentrated effort to piss in the cheerios of people looking forward to something. The fact that there's people who come here, each and every day, and only say negative things, is truly sad. If it's great, it'll be great. If it's not great, we'll find out either way, but the need for some people to derail all enthusiasm and talk ill of every single tidbit about this movie is depressing, not for this movie, but for people as I know them to be.

    Some new interesting rumors about the DCEU:

    Justice League:

    "Starting with Justice League Pt. 1 & 2. Zack Snyder had originally wanted the teams first antagonist to be a female, but those plans have since changed. Snyder had wanted to use Grail, the daughter of Darkseid, to set up Darkseid as the villain in Justice League Pt. 2. Brainiac has now taken the spot of lead villain in the first outing for the team. This does line up with earlier reports that the studio was looking at Benedict Cumberbatch for the role before he was cast as Dr. Strange for Marvel. We have also heard that Justice League Pt. 2 is to be heavily influenced by Geoff John’ Darkseid War."

    Chris Terrio:

    "here’s some confusion as to Chris Terrio’s involvement in the Justice League films. It was originally reported that he was the writer on Justice League Pt. 1, but he will in fact be the writer on BOTH part 1 and 2."

    Justice League Dark:

    "Collin Farrell is in final talks for the role of John Constantine but an offer hasn’t been made quite yet. In addition to Constantine, Deadman is currently being cast as well. Actors with a comedic side are what they are looking for. Jim Carrey was their first choice for the role but those talks broke down and didn’t work out. They are now looking into Norman Reedus, but his filming schedule on The Walking Dead is making it a little tricky."

    Batman:

    "Ben Affleck’s solo Batman film is still very early on in production, with a script still being drafted. None of the Batfamily has been cast yet, so those rumors of Scott Eastwood being Dick Grayson may not be true. However, the studio does want Taron Egerton for the role of Jason Todd/Red Hood."
