Earlier this week, a new TV spot from Germany found its way online which featured new footage from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Now, that same TV spot has been uploaded to Warner Bros. Japan's YouTube channel, and best of all, it's in English!
Not only do we get to see the small pieces of new footage in 1080p HD, but we also can understand Ben Affleck's new piece of dialogue. "This may be the only thing I do that matters," Bruce Wayne says in the TV spot.

but thats the problem. Superman is not meant to be scary. Thats Batman. Thats not who Superman is supposed to be. In the comics Superman once said "I rather have good people trust me then bad people fear me" in response to Batmans methods.
And in Superman: Earth One it is stated that Superman wears no mask so people will trust him instead of fearing him. Superman is not about fear.
So when people say "man Superman makes me shit my pants" then I am afraid this sends the entirely wrong message about that character. Batman is supposed to make you shit your pants. Superman is supposed to give you hope.
He's not supposed to 'give you hope' when he's fighting freaking Batman.
I usually agree with what you say, but sometimes you just spout out arguments like these...
I swear it's people like you who say 'Superman should be smiling in posters! He's out of character!" Um NO, that would be just stupid.
He stands for hope when he's PROTECTING and SAVING people or even while fighting a bad guy. And they will NAIL that concept in this movie.
There's no reason why he should act all cheesy and light in the most epic showdown ever.

And you're complaining about THAT? Superman using his superspeed and Jax imagining that happen in front of him is something you're complaining about? Wow.
another problem - people (like you just demonstrated) mistaking standing for hope with cheesy smiling. Superman is not standing for hope by saving kittens and giving cheesy smiles. Thats not at all what this -or him - is about. I have been a Superman fan since 1998 and he isn´t a symbol of hope because he is a flying cheeseball. But he is not a grim and intimidating super badass either. Thats Batman. Not even when he fights Batman. I can give you countless examples of Superman/Batman battles in the comics where Clark is strong but never scary or fearsome. He doesn´t make people shit their pants. Thats what seperates him from villains like Zod or Ultraman.
No, that is not "another problem". I've seen plenty of people complaining about Superman's expressions in posters and backing it up with "He's a light character".
Superman demonstrating his powers and someone imagining him doing it infront of them WOULD scare them even when he's fighting a villain. Just think about that for a second, and then look back on what you said. You DON'T get that feeling while reading a comic or watching a cartoon because it's not live action. Batman uses fear and brutal methods to fight crime, you're pretending as if that is what Zack Snyder turned Superman into with this whole "he's not supposed to make you shit your pants", which is just another phrase for "He looks badass".

definitly sound like the final product since you can hear the rain in this one. Sounds better in fact.. which makes me think that some people reported that seing the trailer in theater was in even better. I think that gives a preview of what we can expect in the final product

He is suicidal in The Dark Knight Returns comics and also kind of in The Dark Knight Rises. And in The Dark Knight bruce was beginning to wonder if batman was really making a difference.

Not to mention in Arkham City where he says to Joker "So we both die. I´m fine with that" or in Arkham Knight when he is willing to die to diffuse Scarecrows bomb (he even says goodbye to Alfred) and of course in the recent Endgame comic arc where he was willing to kill himself and Joker.

Yeah, I completely agree. Christopher Reeve was great for that era, but Cavill is excellent for this era.

I wish more people would understand that. But unfortunately most people around here gang up on you the second you stop worshipping every thing the DCEU does.
Intense CGI would ruin something like Suicide Squad.
That's why it being 85% Practical and like 15% CG works perfectly.
But for any Superman movie, you need intense CGI to capture how epic and powerful he's supposed to be. Especially when you throw in the Batman gadgets/Wonder Woman movement.
Batoman berusus Supahman. Instead of shwarma they go out for yakiniku after the last battle.

This has to be my most hyped up movie ever.Seriously, it's everyone's dream to have unarguably two of the world's most popular comic book characters duke it out on screen.
I think Star Wars TFA takes the cake for the most hyped movie ever, but BvS is definitely the most hyped movie of 2016.

TFA isn't even the most hyped Star Wars film. Both titles go to The Phantom Menace.
