Latest 'Suicide Squad' set photos hint at Joker origin story

The latest Suicide Squad set photos don't come from the paparazzi, but from members of the crew themselves!

The big one was shared by Ingrid Kleinig, who is Margot Robbie's stunt double in the movie. She posted (and has since deleted) a photo on Instagram that reveals a scene will take place at Ace Chemicals. For those who don't know, Ace Chemicals is where the Joker fell into a vat of chemicals, giving him his trademark white skin, green hair, and red lips.

Other members of the Suicide Squad crew have posted (and then deleted) photos from the Ace Chemicals set as well. But thanks to the magic of the internet, they live on forever. Check them out below.

    The music is one of the last things that they do on a movie before it is released. Often none of the music in a trailer is the same as what ends up in the movie, especially on a teaser trailer that comes out a year before the finished film.

Beyond pumped we may be seeing Jared fall into the vat of chemicals! or at least hopefully confirm he's chemically bleached and not just pale....this movie is going to be beyond amazing, loving how true they're sticking to the source material

thats odd.. its confusing the route they are taking on all this.. i didnt think the chemicals would be involved at all since he and harley dont really look like theyre chemically burnt into being pale and what not.. a strange mixture of extreme fantasy, and a gritty reality..

Damn, how many origin stories are they going to have in this movie? From the trailer and now this, it looks like Deadshot, Harley, Enchantress, and Joker are all getting pretty detailed origin stories.

  I would count on a detailed Harley origin. The rest will probably be pretty brief. Even with a set like this, they could be telling the Joker origin in like 2 minutes. Less even. Same with Enchantress. Deadshot, I bet they give info on his motivation in SS, which is probably providing for his daughter or ensuring her safety while behind bars. Maybe even seeing her again. Something else that can be covered quickly.
  I really think the main character arch of the film, and the one that will get the most attention, will be Harley's.

    That would work. Otherwise, too many origin stories will detract from the rest of the movie.
    That was the one thing I did not like about the animated Planet Hulk movie.

I wonder if this means the tattooed Joker, which we all have seen isn't the final look, but more of a Pre-Chemical Joker. They haven't been filming long, so I can only take a guess that the character(s) look/costume would/could evolve.
Even though the tattoos never bothered me, I do wonder if WB/DC didn't care for the backlash, because they knew it wasn't the final look?

His ORIGIN is still a mystery, this only ever shows his transformation and has always really been a part of his character. Plus, they may take the 'multiple choice' route anyway and this is just showing that.

I said it on the last post that this origin could actually be Harley's, New 52 style. I'm fairly sure it actually will be Joker's, given the Killing Joke inspiration David Ayer's taken for both photos of Jared he put out, but Harley's stunt double was the one who took the photo and was on set for a reason.
In the New 52 Mr J after manipulating Harley pushes her into a vat of chemicals. From memory I'm fairly sure he means it to kill her but she survives and that seals the deal. But Joker's involved for certain, because he got back in Toronto just before this was filmed.

Awesome! Ace looks creepy as hell! thats pretty sweet. I'm excited to see if this is his origin being shown. Part of me has been worried that he was just going to be a normal very pale (albino maybe) man. But this helps ease my worries a lot.

It will probably be in batmans flashback at some point like in "under the red hood" ....I can't wait these movies are going to be amazing I love that dc is taking an approach that respects and trusts in our intelligence as an audience and also realizes the readers matter and respects the source material. I "like" marvel too but with the exception of winter soldier I just feel like all there movies are dimmed down like a Saturday morning cartoon and dosent do the comics any justice at all (no pun intended) but age of ultron could have been so much deeper let's face it.....dc is going to own the next gen and set precise not for everything after
