anyone know what that painting behind Lex is? It looks like an angel with a sword, but he's earthbound. Lucifer maybe? I'm thinking that because Lucifer is very similar to Prometheus in Greek Mythology. Prometheus and Lucifer both rebelled against the Gods/God and were seen as champions of humanity. If I'm right then goddamnit Zack Snyder once again, you are a beautiful bastard.

It's amazing when you consider just how deep MOS is, and it's so exciting to be able to see in these first glimpses that BVS will add even more layers to an already thoughtful telling of DC canon. We have been introduced to Superman/Kal-El, a Christ figure who, as MOS showed us, must live in a world that Christ never faced, redefining what it means to be a savior. Now that's juxtaposed with Luthor and the Lucifer symbolism? Incredible.

I think it was the way it was done that angered some people. Man of Steel was a pretty sloppy movie. Before you call me a Marvel Fanboy know that I am not. I love DC and Man of Steel was my most anticipated movie since i found out it was being made. That being said, it's ideas were awesome but its delivery was off and editing was choppy.
I'm glad the team behind Watchmen is running the show for BvS along with the writting of Chris Terrio and, if we're lucky, a little guidance from Affleck himself.

depends on the point of view. From God/Christianity's point of view no. But from a literary point of view such as Paradise Lost, he could be seen as a liberator rebelling against the 'tyrant' God. From wikipedia "Luciferianism is a belief system that venerates the essential characteristics that are affixed to Lucifer. The tradition, influenced by Gnosticism, usually reveres Lucifer not as the devil, but as a liberator or guiding spirit"
The point being Lucifer believes he is the champion of humanity, in the same misguided way that Lex does.
Also worth noting is the pale horse, representing death..and the fact that it has three legs missing.

It was awful.. the girl was like "They didn't show us anything".. Umm it's a "Teaser" honey what do you want the entire plot to be revealed in the first footage.. and if you consider that "showing nothing" I really don't wanna know what would happen in your ideal teaser, a voice over to explain everything so you don't have to actually use your brain to understand the subtle things that were hidden in this teaser..

I'm getting tired of people considering that Green Arrow would work in DCEU...
Honestly I don't. Well, maybe as a sideshow.
A character that would die in first 15 minutes of some major movie who's death would serve as part of bigger story.
But standalone Green Arrow movie in DCEU? Not happening.
And considering Hunnam, McConaughey or Pit as Green Arrow or any other "heavy" famous blockbuster leading role actor whom WB would have to pay 15M, 20M, 30M $ is ridiculous.
If we can get Blue Beetle, we can get Green Arrow although he's not a priority and yea a solo movie this decade this seem unlikely. Maybe someday and if those people bother you so much be an adlut and ignore them. Nobody's forcing you to read them. You're only annoying yourself which is always a stupid thing to do
Well I think there's possibility in long run for Blue Beetle. Maybe not standalone, but some movie where there can be shared multiple characters, like in SS...

I always loved GA as a character but I feel that you may be right. I would like to see him in a future DCEU solo film but unfortunately this won't happen cause GA has too many similarities to Batman.
And I really don't want the DCEU to follow the MCU route and make standalone movies about C-list characters that no one cares about (you know I am talking about Ant-Man), just for the sake of making movies.
That being said, Mcconaughey amd Gyllenhall are the only two actors that I want to see in the DCEU (and are already not in it) no matter their roles. Marvel can have anyone else, but please not these two!

i dont see why he cant. Hes DC's Hawkeye except better. I dont see why any DC character should be excluded from the universe, besides the super obscure ones like Bat-Mite and the like. I want the DCEU to be expansive as possible. Let the public know DC has alot more to offer than Bats and Supes. Plus a cinematic GA could be done better than the CW one has.
