Bruce Wayne looks pretty rough when he asks Fox that he needs him to help him get back in the game. That scene, for me, really gets me lifted for this movie.

5 likesYes there is. Alot of fans get too worried that too much is being shown, but I just don't see it like that. They are leaving out all of the good stuff, and I think alot of it has to do with Lucious Fox. His scenes and dialog are what describe Batman's technology and this character so realistic in that sense.

He injured his leg, sprinted from police on the injured leg, couldn't keep his weight off it because Dent had just shot him in the stomach, and smashed into crates on his way to the Bat-Pod. 8 years, 10 years, 20 years, a combination like that might not heal 100%.

If I remember correctly it was said he hasn't been Batman for 8 years, recuperating metally and physically from Joker and Harvey.
2 likesNot exactly, what was said by Nolan himself is that the events of TDKR takes place eight years after TDK but that´s a bit ambiguous, because it might refer to the arrival of Bane to the city or Batman´s comeback after being defeated...
2 likesNo, it's definitely that Batman has been missing for eight years, because Gotham is recovering from the tyranny of the Joker, and because Nolan said that Batman's sacrifice at the end of The Dark Knight had to bring reward. It had to mean something, and eight years of peace is something worth it. Bane's arrival, Catwoman's prediction and Gordon uncovering plans to destroy Gotham forces Bruce to return to being Batman.
When he says "I need you to get me back into the game" in this TV spot, it's because he hasn't been Batman for eight years. Bane defeats him probably in their second encounter, one on one in that scene where Bane drops his broken mask, and in the teaser where Batman looks all weak and Bane is walking towards him.

Yes, the ending of TDK had to mean something, thus Batman took the blame, but we still don't know when exactly the 8 year span occurs. I don't know if we'll see Bane break Batmans back, but I definately don't think Bane just breaks his leg (rumored). "Why didn't you just....kill me?..." "You're punishment must be more severe." Yeah.... I'm pretty sure Bane doesn't think a broken leg is that severe, not to mention Bruce Wayne is motionless. I still believe the 8 year absence will be after the first confrontation with Bane.
0 likesI seriously doubt that. Think about it. If Batman loses to Bane, and then disappears for EIGHT years, you don't think Bane would have reduced Gotham to rubble in that time?
I'm very sure that Bane only appears after Batman's eight year absence. Gotham is at peace for those eight years. We just don't know what Bruce Wayne has been doing during that time.

My thought is: he just arrived in Gotham, back from the prison/pit, and he's asking Fox for help him out to clean up Bane's mess in Gotham. I bet he's eaten the devil-smashed bread to escape the prison [Lazarus Pit], and took a long time to do it!
My guess: this happens in middle to the end of the movie! Batman's absence, Bane and Catwoman take gotham, Batman is fucked by Bane, the imprisionment and exile, the suffering, the escape, the arrival, the recovering, the final battle.

I had to pause @ :12 seconds to take a look. - It looks great, I love it. The bat-computer looks wicked, and to the right there is black stone I believe with an entrance in the middle ...could be a vault for everything ( not sure really since his suit is in a glass case that comes out of the water) or maybe the elevator. - I cannot wait to see the whole thing on screen.

I would like to draw attention to the very last scene in the second trailer: Gotham seemingly on fire, with fighter jets flying in.

Yeah ! what we disscused months back about how they are going to pull off Gotham being taken over without Army interference , i see a stand off situation and the key is of course BANES device the army will create a perimeter around the city but BANE will threaten that if the army tries to enter the city he will level it haveing already demonstrated it s power on part of the city ( Hienz Field ) Enter Batman and his underground covert operation of Gordan and Blake .

Anyone remember No Man's Land in wich all the actions resulted in the U.S. government officially evacuating Gotham and then abandoning and isolating those who chose to remain in the city??
I think the jets are another hint of this story beeing included in the TDKR arc for some parts.
Bane forces the Government to isolate Gotham because of his actions what makes it even easier for him to get to his goals.The "graffiti" we saw in the previous trailer (the little bat) is also taken from No Man's Land. It was used to show that a district of the city is back under control of the good guys.

Honestly, there is a possible chance this might be the best movie ever made. I'm dead serious...Just look how amazing the trailers are...there is so much we haven't seen.... Now I'm not comparing this to the Avengers at all (and I totally loved the Avengers)...but there is no way TDKR won't totally own The Avengers...Overall movie vs movie...i'm speechless.

i don't see fox making it out of this one alive.. i think talia al ghul at first uses wayne and accesses the tumblers.. then maybe a change of heart or something. but no way will fox go down without a fight
